John Knotts
Although I won't get my hopes up, here's to hoping the park adds a few more family flats/rides in or near DC Universe!
WFChris
How about 'Yosemite Sam's Sierra Skater?' Â
ebl
I saw that Green Lantern will have five cars. Will all five ever run at the same time, or will it be like most of the other coasters where there's at least one car or train stored? I don't know how other Zac-Spin rides operate. Â Eric
Bolliger&Mabillard
^If it's any help, (because no one in the U.S. has first hand experience watching them operate) I've noticed with the THBS's that they can run all of the cars, but usually leave one off for block spacing. John Knotts
Wow, this is going to be one low capacity ride (Green Lantern), especially on days when the crew can't get it together and pump out those cars. Â Maybe it's a good thing that this ride is opening at SFMM, where it can share the load with several other major coasters. I would hate to try and ride this at a park where it is the only "star" option. lol
SharkTums
^That's my main concern with this ride going into SFMM. Â We had ERT on the one at Grona Lund and with only about 40 people riding it was still around a 10 minute wait! And that was with the kickass Swedish crew and park management there. Not to mention a group of enthusiasts who knew how to quickly load and unload the high up seats. Â You have to almost think of it more as a flat ride capacity than coaster capacity.
Midgetman82
I can't wait to hear the wait times for this ride. They should have some sort of live entertainment for the people in line.
braztaz
It's also my concern that on a lot of days, SFMM will go by their usual standards and only operate maybe 2 cars. I mean it hasn't stopped them from running one train on Tatsu, Goli\ath, etc... This is gonna be a capacity nightmare.
SharkTums
We just have to hope that most of the SoCal GP is too dumb to realize that this is going to be one of the best coasters/rides in the park, if not all of SoCal! Â While they're in line for Viper (cuz omg itz upsidedown and shitz) we'll be marathoning the new Intamin ride!
John Knotts
^ LMAO! I was thinking the same thing. Let them do their usual run towards the left side of the park. I'm going to the right. Goliath, Green Lantern, Batman, Apocalypes and Superman. After that, who cares!
ebl
Given the unusual appearance of Green Lantern, maybe some people will mistake it for some sort of construction equipment and think, "Oh, they must be building something there..." Â Eric
coastercrutchfield
^Hahahaha! most people will probably think that it is the weirdest looking coaster ever. I' wouldn't be surprised if some people of the GP that may argue that it isn't a roller coaster, but a big flat ride...
John Knotts
^ I honestly think that's one of the reasons this ride was chosen. It gives the park the coaster count, yet it will function as a well-needed flatride. It's the best of both worlds. Enthusiasts however (myself included), will moan about the capacity issues because technically it is a coaster. lol
ebl
^ Of course we could get really technical and consider Mickey's Fun Wheel at DCA a coaster because the swinging cars do ride on rails and depend on gravity and momentum to move through the wheel. Â Did I see somewhere that Road Runner Express is supposed to open in March as well? They'd have to hustle, but it could be done. Also, I wonder if they'll repaint it to give it more of a Road Runner color, not a Mr. Six's tuxedo look. Â Eric
coastercrutchfield
^ It is suppose to open March 19th. But I would think that they would keep the red track since it was that color at SFNO. And they would probably be able to set it up in 2-3 weeks anyway, since it is a pretty small coaster.
DisneyPro
Hey everyone! Â I was wondering if anybody had any photos or info about the former "Backstreet" section of the park. I'm always intrigued by remnants of things past, such as the Wizard's castle and the Magic Pagoda. I love all that history! Â So if anybody has any photos of any of these types of "forgotten" structures, would you mind sharing? Â Thanks so much!

Bolliger&Mabillard
With so much going on in the park this season, I actually am looking forward to see how well it is all executed. And how this upcoming peak season is managed is what I think will be the best way to predict where the park is going in the near future.
