Hattuchili Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 Hey everyone, I think it is time for a new resort. This time it will be: Disney´s Caribbean Beach Resort The Caribbean Beach Resort is one of Disney´s 4 moderate resorts. We talked allready about the Coronado Springs Resort and the Port Orleans - French Quarter. This resort has also a very nice theming. Maybe not as good as the French Quater or the Coronado Springs, but for that price it is a good hotel. The pool area is not that big, but you find a hot tub there. The rooms and the buildings are very similar as the ones at the Coronado Springs resort. A really nice point in the Main building is the awesome food market, called "Centertown". There you will find so many types of good stuff. Right there at the Centertown you´ll also find the resort harbour, where you can rent a boat for some relax time on the lake. Okay, onto the pictures: --Soren The kids pool. Thanks again for reading. Please make sure to come back for the next update. I think the pool area gets more beautiful in the evening I like the details here at Disney Overview The pool is not as big as the pool I have seen at the other resorts, but it is still nice. The main pool has a nice theming right infront of the building you will find a nice harbour where you can rent a boat. You will find the food market in the "Centertown" you also find merchandise here The great food market I found this painting at the lobby and thought it is really nice. ... Everywhere you find places to relax The resort is build around a little lake. I really like the awesome landscaping Welcome The Caribbean Beach Resort
thefitness Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I think I stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort once, and I didn't like it at all. That was a few years ago so maybe they have improved. It's a cool looking hotel, it just doesn't have the "Disney feel" to it.
Chrissie Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I also spent some time at the Carribean beach while I was at Disney. I really enjoyed it there. They had lots of entertainment on around the pool side and all the castmembers I encountered were really friendly! I thought the resort itself was really beautiful and we got some great photos there. On the bridge! All of us in the waterfall
Hattuchili Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 ^ Great pictures Chrissie, I am glad you had some fun there. It is a nice resort to spend some time. --Soren
Hattuchili Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 No one else has to share their experiance with this resort? Okay, then you guys can look forward to the next update. I can tell you it will be one of the delux resorts from the 7 lagoons. Which one could it be? --Soren
disneygurlz2s Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 ^^^ Well, I love all three of the Deluxe Resorts at Seven Seas Lagoon, so I will be excited to see which one it is..... (hoping Grand Floridian.....) Shari
Hattuchili Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 ^ Yes, all the three resorts there are really nice. However, I am sorry O have to tell you it is not the Grand Floridian. I visited the GF resort 1 time, but it was to much for me. I am not sure why, but I felt kinda wrong in that place. So, 2 resorts left... --Soren
SLUSHIE Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I've been to Disney World 5 times or something like that and have only stayed at 1 Disney hotel. It was the Old Key West before they turned it into a time share. I have visited a few of the other resorts and I think while we were staying at the old key west we had family that was staying at the Grand Floridian. I like how they have free snacks on some of the floors. I also like the restaurant on top of the contemporary. I think we have eaten there on a few trips. The view of MK is awesome and you can see a few firework shows from there. I have no idea if the contemporary is luxury.. but I'm ganna say thats the next one.
Hattuchili Posted June 29, 2007 Author Posted June 29, 2007 ^ The Old Key West was the first Vacation Club hotel and that started 15 years ago. I visited that hotel and it was okay. I think they also had the boat transfer to Downtown Disney. Anyway, the next hotel is also not the Contemporary. So the last one could only be the Polynesian and that will be the next hotel here. --Soren
splzero Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Old key west was always timeshare. Ive stayed at old key west, and Boardwalk. I wasnt every happy with boardwalk since I payed extra for a view (was told id have a room on the boardwalk) and I got a room next to the trash.
haiderodes Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Although I have yet to stay in a Disney resort, I did my fair share of resort pool hopping during my College Program and I have to say that I liked Carribean Beach Resort. It covers a LOT of land area which I really liked. In addition to that main pool there are also smaller private pools scattered about the resort that are nice to relax at. I also liked the little island in the middle of the lake that you can walk around and see the birds...kind of like a miniature Discovery Island.
SLUSHIE Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Well maybe we were in a part that wasn't time share while the whole thing is now? I have no idea. I am positive we didn't own anything though.

So, 2 resorts left... --Soren I know exactly what you mean about the Grand Floridian! We've never stayed there, but we have visited it a couple of times, just to check it out. There's a snooty ambiance to it - somehow, it just doesn't feel like "Disney" to me. Well maybe we were in a part that wasn't time share while the whole thing is now? I have no idea. I am positive we didn't own anything though. You can stay at the DVC resorts without owning. You just have to rent the points from a member.
Hattuchili Posted July 1, 2007 Author Posted July 1, 2007 Old key west was always timeshare. Ive stayed at old key west, and Boardwalk. I wasnt every happy with boardwalk since I payed extra for a view (was told id have a room on the boardwalk) and I got a room next to the trash. I am sorry for that. I sayed at nearly half of the resorts there and I never had a problem. --Soren

Hattuchili Posted July 1, 2007 Author Posted July 1, 2007 Okay, time for another resort... Disney´s Polynesian Resort First of all I would say beside the Wilderness lodge is this my favorite resort. Because... It is only a few minutes away from the Magic Kingdom. It has my favorite restaurant in there, the Ohanas. And the rooms are so big. We had a room in the "Tokelau" house on the first floor. Our view was nice, a bit of the lake and a great view over to the Contemporary. All in all there is a great theming´with a very nice pool area. From the pool itself you have a great view over the big lake to the MK, Grand Floridian and the Contemporary resort. Right beside the pool area you will find the Marina, where you can rent a boat for a nice tour on the lake. I think that is a really must do! Next is the "Ohanas" in the "Great Ceremonial House", which you also should check out for dinner or so. A great point for the restaurant is the awesome view in the night over to Magic Kingdom. You can see the whole fireworks show. The transportation is also a important point. There is a monorail station right on the second level. You can take the monorail to the "Grand Floridian - Magic Kingdom - the Contemporary - Ticket and Transportation Center" and back. It is a lot of fun and easy. If you don´t like to take the monorail, then you can take the boat from the Polynesian to the Magic Kingdom and back. Okay, onto the pictures --Soren the logo We are saying thanks again for reading. Breakfast at Ohanas is also awesome I love the meat on a sward here you can see all the good food Do you find yourself here? and another time we visited the restaurant It looks like they liked the food Robb welcomes you to Ohanas the marina and the view to the Contemporary the view over to the Grand Floridian behind the pool you can see the lake the pool with the volcano great theming, right on the way to the pool at the lobby the garden view 2 huge beds, which were so comfotrable a really nice TV here you can make your own coffee the bathroom the room welcome to the Polynesian resort map
Hattuchili Posted July 2, 2007 Author Posted July 2, 2007 Hey guys, the pictures are finally posted. Yesterday I had some problems, but it worked, now! Enjoy... --Soren
Homer Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Ohana is metal in Hawaiian as well. Thanks for reminding us about why the Polynesian resort is awesome.
kani Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 I'm going to be staying at a Disney hotel in a few weeks! It's the All-Star Sports though. The Polynesian looks sweet though!
WildStangAlex Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 For the first time ever, we stayed on property. All I can say is that the Wilderness Lodge is breathtaking! We will stay there again in a heartbeat!
Nrthwnd Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 Way back in 1987... The Polynesian was The Only Place I ever wanted to stay, when we got to WDW that spring. And - we did. It was great staying there. Our view wasn't spectacular (side house view into 'garden') but it was all great nonetheless. The room was wonderful, the service was good, and the in-room breakfast.... mmmmmmm. The Best Thing about in-room breakast??? The Banana-Stuffed French Toast!!!. Very yum. Extreeeeemely yum! (Thanks for FINALLY getting to my fave hotel of the bunch, Soren!)
cprocks22 Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 Yay, thanks Soren! I love the Polynesian resort. We always stay there when we go to Disney World and this December will be no different. Since the last time I was there I was six could someone tell me how the pool is? Just curious.
Hattuchili Posted July 3, 2007 Author Posted July 3, 2007 ^ look again at my pictutres. The pool is awesome wit a great view over the seven seas lagoon and a nice water slide in the volcano. --Soren
