The water main broke the day after Coastermania. I was there that Saturday, and got 4 rides (platinum early entry) when the park closed. It was closed for several days last year.

I was at Media Day today too. It was an amazing experience! We were riding by 5am. Much to my surprise, I got 29 rides, breakfast and lunch. I would say they were dueling about 80% of the time. It really enhances the ride, but not necessary to be a great ride. I'll be back tomorrow for the Gold pass ERT. It was entertaining watching all the TV crews and egos interact... The "great reveal' of the Screampunk area was good too. Bonnie had a good speech (hinting about more to come), and the ride was launched with fireworks and their plastic shredded confetti. I also saw a short preview of their new show at the theater. I can't wait to see the entire show this summer. Just a great day at the mountain today. Thanks to all, for their hard work for all of us.

I was at Cedar Point today and had a great time - 30 rides between 9 - 4. I had to leave for Ann Arbor at 4. I could've gotten a lot more if I could've stayed longer. Typical slow Sunday. Yes, Wicked Twister was testing. I heard from an unofficial source that it could be a week, because the state hasn't done it's annual inspection yet. Not really sure of the accuracy of that, but just wanted to share what I heard. It's nice that I can ride 2 more rides at the Point now - Rougaroo & Maverick. I hated the headbanging on Mantis, and couldn't take the old restraints on Maverick. I now enjoy both rides... The third train (yellow) for Millie appeared overnight with it's new body, but wasn't used while I was there. Dragster was having a bad day, but I was able to ride it once. Also I met another TPR member - DBRU on Maggie. He's a supervisor and was working the ride this morning. Nice guy with good hustle, and even smiled while he was working. I got 12 on her today! No waiting in the morning. Things are looking up at the Point from my perspective!

Last day at the Mountain today for me. The Cinco de Mayo / Ortega ERT was great. They had Batman and Green (grunt) Lantern open. Neither are my favorite rides. I got 12 consecutive on Batman, and that was enough for me. Probable easily could've had 20 -25. Very nice support from Ortega. Thanks. Also dark testing of TC continued this evening. I was at my car listening at around 9pm. It looks and sounds great! Also Goliath chain replacement could be as late as mid June.

They were test running TC in the dark tonight. I was on Lex at around 8:30, and saw the train cresting the lift hill. Less than 3 weeks to go!

I left the park a little after 6 today, and watched the orange train fly through the entire circuit (blue and green track)! It's so fast empty, I can't wait until my butt is in the last seat of this baby...

I've seen the lift hill lights at night a few weeks ago, and they're boring white. I do wish they'd add some extreme color to this baby!

Yea, I'll be there this weekend. I can't wait to see what will be the ERT for the Cinco de Mayo celebration on Sunday...

I just confirmed that Xcelerator is now down through May 9. That's according to their website.

I looked at the MM website, and it's not listed as temporarily closed like Scream and Goliath. I hope that's a good sign...

I was at Knotts yesterday and found this out the hard way. Xcelerator is closed from April 14 - 24 for maintenance. It's my favorite ride there, so I was disappointed. This is posted on their website, but I didn't look. I hope they paint the track while it's down...

Last day at the park today. X2 was still closed (for me no biggy since I don't ride it), but the high winds really never materialized. Superman was running today too. I got 14 YOLO rides = no lines. Good finish to my vacation here. The green track on Twisted Colossus was nearly complete when I left Lex (great construction view) at 4:30. Only about 3 or 4 metal pieces remain. I'm sure they finished it up before sundown.

My original post was from Monday stating it was a good day. Yesterday - Tuesday was the bad day. Just the opposite of Monday. Today Wednesday could be bad with the high wind warnings issued.

Were they closed due to the wind today? Or is Goliath still awaiting a chain replacement? -=CoasterBP I disagree with it being a good day at the park. 5 rides were down all day - Superman, X2, Goliath (chain), Scream, Colossus. The last 3 were expected. YOLO was having a tough day too. I waited 40 minutes at opening for them to get the ride going. Then they were loading only 1 train. They finally pulled the second train off the track. Revolution was only running 1 train too. Fewer people today, but fewer functioning rides. Much to my surprise Lex was running fairly well, although they had the single rider line closed. Not the best guest experience for me, but I had a great day yesterday...

47 rides?! I guess Spring Break crowds are over? How empty are we talking about? I plan to go Wednesday. Yes, I would say by yesterday's attendance spring break is over. Only 1 1/4 parking lots full.

^ The chain on Goliath broke a week ago last Saturday or Sunday. It's been down ever since.

I was at the park again today and it was empty. I got 47 rides today. I even saw a YOLO rollback, as I was next in line for the front car! I guess that was a "Half Throttle" launch. Take this for what it's worth. I saw 2 maintenance men on the top of Goliath's lift hill this morning. I'm hoping that's a good sign that it might be running before the estimated 2 month wait I've been hearing. RMC working hard on TC all day.

I was at MM yesterday, and left at 9pm - closing. The guys were still working on Twisted Colossus at that time under the lights. They're either behind or trying to get done early... Nice to see all that effort.

I was at the Mountain today. Only 1 train on A-pocky. The second train isn't on the ride at all. They also now (at least tonight) make a separate check of the seat belts. Then they come back and check the lap bar. Nothing like making a slow 1 train operation slower...

No early entry for gold pass at 6 Flags Fiesta in San Antonio. I was there a few weeks ago.

^^^ This was the second year for that magic show in the theater. I enjoyed it, and it was different both years. He's a good entertainer...

Yesterday I noticed a covered wagon at the bottom of the steps of Goliath. It behind the unused security shack. What is this here for???? Covered wagon?
