  1. Thanks for the laugh tonight. Let's call it Nadtis!
  2. Only open until Monday - Labor Day, then it's gone! Bye bye... Only open until Monday
  3. One piece of new information from Busch today. This was announced by the "train person." Rhino Rally is closing forever after Monday's operation. Not a big fan, but this one "bites the dust."
  4. I was at Busch today before the storms moved in an closed the rides. I rode Falcon's Fury 7 times this morning. The lines were short for the "technical rehearsals." I waited no longer than 15 minutes at the most for each ride. Very efficient dispatches, and ride operations. The "grouper" filled every seat. That's important since I'm normally a single rider. I've been on many drop rides (my favorite is Lex Luthor at 6 Flags Magic Mountain for it's height and Lex speech at the top. Yes, I've been on Zumanjaro at Great Adventure - disappointed.), but this one with the tilt face down is amazing! I enjoyed every rep I got today. A very very nice addition for Busch. The queue line seems small for the crowds that will come when it "opens." Also all the ride ops are in communication with each other via headsets. That improves operations. Love it!
  5. Amen brother. I'm heading to Busch today. I won't be riding Gwazi!
  6. Looks amazing! I'm an MM fan-boy anyway. The trains and restraints look good too. That's a lot of work by Spring of next year. We'll see. I can't wait!
  7. Maybe it's me but I never thought of Zoomanjaro or Kingda Ka as racist names. Not any more than El Toro, Sheikra, or Ninja Busch Gardens used to be called "The Dark Continent." Talk about racist!
  8. I agree with this ranking. I didn't vote, but I agree with #1 and #2. I've never been to Dollywood, but I hear it's good. I'd rank Cedar Point a little lower, but that's just my opinion.
  9. ^^^ I do agree with you Robb, "Pocky" has gotten rough. I can still ride it a lot. If you go there early in the morning you can get many consecutive rides. I love the back seat. Someone else mentioned this, but it's the padding that makes it comfortable. It has gone down hill since the "Termie" days with the shows you had to watch. TAKE THE TUNNEL!
  10. It was Banshee! Back then it had a bad connotation. I guess it doesn't matter now since Kings Island used it...
  11. Today I was at Great Adventure in New Jersey. Lex Luthor is soooo much better than Zumanjaro! They won't launch Kingda Ka trains if "Zoo" is up or going up. The sway because of Superman makes Lex so much better. Also the ascent on "Zoo" is very slow until you get half way up. Then it speeds up. No speech or any sound when you arrive at the top. Again, another win for Lex. Lastly, the regular, flash pass and single rider lines all merge together at the platform entry = slow single rider movement. Lex wins again with the single rider merge.
  12. Exactly what I'm thinking. I'm not a b-ball fan, but one man doesn't make a team. He's got a long frustrating time ahead of him.
  13. Tuesday and Wednesday are usually the best days to go in my experience. Get there before the gates open and you'll get on Goliath easily, otherwise expect 2+ hour wait most of the day. The upshot is that you can cycle Bull a bunch early in the day. I too plan to be at the park on Wednesday. I haven't been in about 6 years. What's the early entry deal for gold pass members? Is there a special line? Thnx.
  14. It must be me. I was at Cedar Point 2 weeks ago on a Saturday when they had the water main break. The park was closed for 2 days. Saturday when I returned to Kings Island - NO POWER! This must be some punishment for me a platinum pass holder. What's next - plague and pest infestation? I was back today with no issues. I got out before the storm moved in.
  15. You must have no feeling in your groin. GL, is the most painful crotch ride I've ever been on. I also hate X2 - too painful also but not in the crotch!
  16. ^ I know we're off topic, but did El Toro cost $12M? I guess that's why nobody else here in the states has an Intamin prefab.
  17. ^ I'm glad you cleared that up. I didn't think there was a MCB on Millennium Force. As far as Mean Streak, I wasn't brave enough to try it this visit. Needless to say, not a fan.
  18. Of course, it is possible that the sudden surge of restroom use by Coastermania attending ACErs after the lunch buffet really strained Sandusky's capacity to supply water causing a definite water main breakage. Thanks for making me laugh. It was an EXTENSIVE lunch! Lot's of big bellies around yesterday..
  19. Well, this is quite a waste of my weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday lost while I'm here in town. It could've been worse if this happened yesterday before Coastermania. I do find it AMAZING that they're closed for 2 days. These days, nothing Cedar Point / Cedar Fair does surprises me.
  20. I was at the park yesterday until close - 10pm. None of the trains for TTD were even on the track! That's a very bad sign. Also Blue Streak (my fav and the birthday ride - 50) wasn't running either. This could be a bad Coatermania today.
  21. ^^^^^ I saw the red and green marker paint on the YOLO loop when I was there over Memorial Day weekend. What is that there for?? You could really see it from behind. Is the entire loop painted now or just the markers I saw a few weeks ago?
  22. ^ Agreed! I like the music videos too. It's a nice distraction while waiting in line.
