I don't mind the locker policy at the Six Flags parks. It was great when I was on the east cost to slip my junk into a locker and just leave it there until I'd had my fun and wanted to move on. And it was only a dollar when we were there. I think lots of people would pay a dollar to put their bits and bobs in a locker.

While in the grand scheme of things the extra cash wont raise $2.5 billion, the extra profitability of the chain and the impressive turnaround Shapiro & Co. have overseen makes a successful debt/equity deal seem very possible. It'd be nice to see the chain healthy again and free from the shadow of failed former management...

I would have thought they were in the financial position to get an Intamin, but I wouldn't complain if they did! I still think it'd be a shame for Rollercoaster to go, but of the 5 woodies at the park, it's the one I'd prefer to see go.

You're talking about a patch jacket, there is no chance whatsoever of that happening.

^ I'm pretty sure the Intamin accelerators adjust the launch speed based on wind speed etc. so it's no breakthrough. ^^ Yeah, but if the launch fails for some reason the ride will still roll back.

The 6th question on the 2009 trip chat: Q: If we meet up with you guys at some parks on the trips, are we allowed ERT and dinners if we pay you guys an extra price? A: Similar to the last question, most of the time we do not open up a single park day to people not on the trip. You are welcome to come on your own, but you would not get ERT or Meals.

Ha! Why not just have a camera overlooking the train recording throughout the day. That would prove weather the restraint was checked or not... Maybe they just want their staff to lose their voices regularly?

I don't normally post in here because to the GP, the questions ask aren't that odd, they only seem silly to us because we're geeks. I did hear an awesome one in 2005 though. I was at Thorpe Park (naturally) and was queueing for Nemesis overlooking Stealth being constructed. So cranes and men in yellow jackets on a massive pile of dirt surrounded by construction fences. The guy in front of me turned to his mate and in all seriousness said "Do you want to ride that later?"

I can't vote yet, as I've only done Florida and the East-Coast, but from what I've heard from other people about the other areas mentioned, I think it'll be hard to beat the North East. I'd like to visit a lot of the midwest parks etc. but I've yet to meet someone who tells me that the Voyage is better than El Toro or Phoenix. And Superman (Bizarro) was immense (and again, no one seems to think Maverick is better...). Maybe I'll vote in a few years

I'm sure you already know not to miss the flyers at Knobles! Also, be sure to check out the Curse of DarKastle at BGE, it's a great ride (similar to Spiderman at IoA). Have a great trip! It looks like you're going to have loads of fun!

Yeah, the method of propulsion shouldn't matter, only the fact that if the train doesn't have enough energy imparted to it, it won't make it over the first element. At least that's my understanding.
