It sounds like anti-rollbacks to me. If it's going to valley they'll want it further round the course as it's easier to get the train round from there. Basically they won't want it to go back down the zero-G Dave

You should probably skip this post if you don't really care about the iPad... I'm pretty unsure about this device. I was expecting a tablet that runs OS 10.6 and I would have paid good money for it and used it religiously, but if you already have a smartphone and a laptop, I'm really struggling to see how they've defined a new product category with the iPad. Hardware wise, they've done as much as can reasonably be expected of them. There's a nice multi touch screen in a thin and lightweight enclosure, it looks all right (I'm not a fan of the front on view, but the other angles are nice) and has a battery that will get it through the day. None of this was ever in doubt though, if you believed Apple was going to create a tablet, it was pretty much a dead certainty that it would have these features. The real stumbling block for tablets over the years has been the content that they provide and the ease with which it can be obtained/used. If Apple want to make a successful tablet, having the right hardware pales in comparison to providing a wide range of content that's easy to obtain and appropriate to use on the device. This is where the battle will be won or lost for the commercial success of the tablet. The problem I see is that all the content they're offering for this is already available on the iPhone with the only major difference being that the device has 4X as many pixels so you can fit more of a book on the screen, have higher resolution games and go into street view in google. You can already read books on the iPhone, use all the apps, and on top of that you can make phone calls too! I doubt that people will be willing to pay an extra few hundred dollars for a larger screen (ok, a faster processor too, but the iPhone 3GS is no dinosaur!). I hope that I'm wrong and I hope that this is successful and they develop the tablet form into something that I would buy, but until they seriously add to the content they deliver (and thus the purpose of the device) I don't think i'll be parting with my cash. I submitted my support for the proposal yesterday. I'm fed up of a few ruining the fun for many. I'm looking forward to visiting the park in the summer and it would be nice if they could spend their money on improving the park further rather than retracing their steps. To be fair, this park has always themed it's major attractions quite well, the only exception I can think of is RITA. Merlin are doing great but I wouldn't want to detract from the previous owners... Station looks amazing, this ride could be pretty impressive, the story seems to be following the Hex/Nemesis route, so we could see something nice come out of this! We'll have to do a Brit Crew plus Andrew meet there in March Dave

Wow. I just caught up from the ferry update! Epic TR Divv Such awesome memories came flooding back. It's almost a shame because it could be a while before we get about 95% of the Brit Crew on a trip again, Scandi was too much awesome! Thanks for putting this TR together Divv, they're always highly amusing and show the more serious and respectable side of the UK crew that might not otherwise be seen between all the drinking and scaring the crap out of Steve (and driving round go-kart tracks ten and a half times). That's an interesting idea. It would certainly live up to the hype! The breaks in the track look convincing, but as someone mentioned the supports look too static. I'd love for this to be the special effect though! Dave

The waitress was awesome! Larry "Have you got any Newcastle Brown Ale" Waitress "Here's 3 bottles!" I loved this park, not just because they treated us soooooo well (which was awesome, BTW) but because the whole park had amazing charm. It was like BPB if all the rides at Blackpool were awesome and the guests were all really nice! Amazing rides, amazing atmosphere, generally an awesome vibe! I had a blast at Grona Lund.
