  1. Whoever says there's more airtime on the turbo-drops should ride one of the small doubleshot towers. The Indiana twins are the best space-shot rides I've ever been on. Power Tower is just a glorified observation tower, and even the space shot side is surprisingly lame compared to the smaller versions. My vote definitely goes for the spaceshot, just for the airtime alone. -James Dillaman
  2. How many times did he download your video, Ryan? Anyway, awesome park, awesome photos, awesome captions. Dollywood is great and will be even better. My favorite park. -James Dillaman
  3. All I meant is there's a lot of helix track and an airtime hill. I realize there's a lot of track to go, but I'd be surprised if there's 11 or more inversions. That's all I'm saying. And to whoever said it could wrap around itself and there's still a lot more track to be laid: The footers are there, and I'm trying to see where they could get 11 inversions, and I don't see it. Besides, I'd hope they concentrate on building a quality ride this time, instead of just going for records. -James Dillaman
  4. I wish I had a greyout or close to blackout. That sounds like an experience everyone should have at least once. Gotta go find me one of them NASA test center centrifuges.... -James Dillaman
  5. Are LSM's quieter? I've never been on a full-circut coaster that uses them before. -James Dillaman
  6. Am I the only one who thinks the new name is downright sorry? The Roller Coaster at New York New York? Come on, that would be fine for a coaster built in the 20's, but just calling it Roller Coaster now is sort of overdone. They are completely missing the corporate tie ins here. They could be sponsored by Yellow Cab, Checker, or even SEGA's Crazy Taxi. Slap a few stickers on the train and voila, instant moneymaker. -James "New credit for Jeff? LOL" Dillaman
  7. Montu has the best colors IMO. -James Dillaman
  8. ^ In marketing, it's all about the way you spin it -James Dillaman
  9. ^ SoB is on there, because like stated before it's one of those memorable coasters, if you break your breastbone on a rollercoaster, and you're in the process of suing for damages, you remember that ride more than say, just another ride on a different wooden coaster. -James "WTF, SOB?" Dillaman
  10. Seriously, I'd be shocked if there were 11 inversions. Look at how big the inversions already up there are. Where are they going to cram the other 9? -James "Instead of an air-hill they'd have one there, for sure" Dillaman
  11. Great Photos. Sheikra's "splashdown" is actually an effect, right? It doesn't look like the side of the train ever hits the water. -James "Sorry if I'm an idiot, but wasn't sure" Dillaman
  12. ^The "prankster" was the one who died. I feel bad for the people in the car that hit him. Can you say "scarred fo life"? I also feel sorry for the family of the deceased, who can't help that he made a stupid mistake and loss his life. -James Dillaman
  13. That's nice of you... Guess they'll make a bigger splash on the new aquatrax, won't they? -James Dillaman
  14. I know this may be not tactful and I apologize in advance (My sympathies go out to the families involved). If somebody dies in a haunted house, wouldn't it be perfect for their ghost to start haunting it. I think it would add to the ride. That said, this is strange and I'll wait to see more information. I don't understand how you fall out of the cars on this type of ride... -James Dillaman
  15. I'm sure Wes already checked, as he was the first to post after him. No this is some other person without a sense of humor... -James "Bet my first-born son it's an aquatrax" Dillaman
  16. ^You mean the secret operating day when we all go and ride flashback and freefall while you're not there? -James ";)" Dillaman
  17. ^ Chalk me up for laughing my a$$ off. Well done! -James Dillaman
  18. I say, if it is an aquatrax, Dawgs is never allowed to ride it, and must wear a sign outside saying "Looking for Jesus" while the rest of us have fun on a "sub-par" coaster. James "Is sure he's been to Lotte World, so knows that an aquatrax is 'sub-par'" Dillaman
  19. Smashing job, young bloke. This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Keep it up. -James Dillaman
  20. Dead heat, whatever you do, you can't please everyone. -James "Likes the FD3 parody" Dillaman
  21. Yeah, even with the inversion(s) I'm still leaning towards it being an aquatrax. I hope so, so all the fanboys who were complaining at the start of this thread (I know it's a LONG time ago, but go back and read, it's pretty funny) can ride it and see how GOOD it'll inevitably be. -James Dillaman
  22. Nice Photos! Can't wait for the next update, looks like there's some more track!!! This is my most anticipated coaster of next year. I'm more excited about this one than the aquatrax at Cedar Point! -James Dillaman
  23. I think it's alll a decoy for the brand new Giant Scrambler that their putting in... No? Well, then, I'd like to say it's great to see the track going up so fast, and again, I'd still like an aerial picture if at all possible, or some pictures from the bay, a little closer than the funcoast cam. -James Dillaman
  24. I gotta vote for Tatsu, it's so good and sooooo high for the entire ride. Really freaky going up the lift and seeing the ground go away from you so quickly. And not to mention the pretzel loop.... -James Dillaman
  25. So now we need the official TPR updates for this ride's construction, right? Did I miss them, or were there pages like there are for CP and DW? -James "Thanks, mailboomer, I wasn't going to say anything, but it needed to be said" Dillaman
