  1. ^Are you up for trading other things? Julia and I could name our first child Robb or Elissa, depending on the boy/girl situation, in exchange for one. The middle name would be your favorite ride name of choice. James Dillaman
  2. ^West Nile???? No, Bird Flu's the way to go. -James "Actually had west nile couple years ago, didn't die!" Dillaman
  3. OMG, This is even more entertaining than the actual photo TR, haha -James Dillaman
  4. ^That reminds me, when you ride the beast at night, coming up the second lift, the view of the park is incredible. The coaster itself isn't beautiful, but especially if the fireworks are going off, it's a great experience. -James Dillaman
  5. Oktoberfest is a seperate party/celebration/festival that takes place in downtown Cincinnati. Fearfest isn't all that scary. There aren't many "haunted" attractions, and for the most part the scariness is reserved for the extra attractions, which don't open until after the park closes. In years past, Fearfest was a pay-only attraction, even if you had season passes. I believe the park closed around 7 or so and the haunted attractions started at 8 and went until midnite or 1 in the morning. Someone who's been there more recently might vouch for different operations, and I have no idea how cedar fair is going to run it. -James "have fun if you do go " Dillaman
  6. ^Even parks like Disneyworld tend to slow down this time of year here. Again, I can't speak for Spain... but Robb's right. -James Dillaman
  7. Haha, steam-powered lift hills. But all in all, this is the most unique park I've seen on here, yet. Good find, how loud were the steam-engines especially with multiple ones running at the same time? -James Dillaman
  8. Not me, I wouldn't want a headache like SFMM. I don't know many people who would. -James Dillaman
  9. ^ Thank you, Wes. That's what I was wondering. Everyone else seemed to think I was asking who Stephen Colbert was for some reason. Still, It's a funny image. -James Dillaman
  10. ^ I thought vortex was an arrow suspended -James Dillaman Whoops, got beaten to it The vortex at Kings Island is an arrow looper, just FYI, since my post now has no point
  11. ^^^ I was actually a tad bit dissapointed with the triple down. There are much more insane parts of that ride, as the triple down comes right after the MCBR. ^What is El Toro's track made of? I heard somebody (some acer probably) at MI Adventure saying it was some sort of prefabricated stuff and shouldn't count as a wooden coaster. Just wondering, as I don't know. -James Dillaman
  12. What did you think, the kids at PKI sure seemed to love it, and it made the action zone kindof clear out as everyone wanted to see the parade, making some lines shorter. It looks like the same parade that we had. Nice pictures, too. -James Dillaman
  13. ^That's what I mean. They built one here at PKI, a great bear lodge, which I think would be good in the winter, IF they allow locals to go, but I've heard mixed reports on that. One at a resort city, like ACY, would do quite well if you ask me. -James "The ocean is pretty cold in the fall/winter" Dillaman
  14. I'm not sure, but what makes it an aquatrax is the vehicle design and track design which allows, if wanted, a "splashdown" type effect that cannot be achieved on their rocket coasters, per se, or their normal coasters. It's just a different design. -James Dillaman
  15. ^ No, it makes him prisoner # 5325632. j/k, -james Dillaman
  16. The eighties shall live forever! Saw a girl totally rocking the side ponytail the other day. Dear God help us all! Interesting Photo TR, by the way. I love seeing these retro reports. -James Dillaman
  17. What this area needs is a nice indoor waterpark. Drop the kids off and go gamble! -James Dillaman
  18. ^An aquatrax doesn't have to have water, just so you know, it's a ride type. Saying an aquatrax has to have water is like saying a wooden coaster has to have a helix. -James Dillaman
  19. Why are all these parks being redeveloped and the parks that should be (cough, magic mountain, cough) are still there? James Dillaman
  20. I don't know why some people think an aquatrax can't have a bunny hill...? Care to enlighten us? James "Doesn't see why they can't build an aquatrax with a bunny hill" Dillaman
  21. As soon as all the buzz on here dies out, they'll announce it to create more buzz so quit guessing and admit it's an aquatrax, then think "blah, whatever" and they'll try and create some buzz of their own -James Dillaman
  22. Recently got relieved of all income by being downsized! Can't find a job for the life of me, although have only been looking for 2 weeks, haven't gotten one call back, not even from Taco Bell or Burger King!!! They'll hire some 14 y/o punk but they won't even look twice at an unemployed mid-20's type with good references! Grrrrrrahhhhhhhhh! -James " I feel a little better" Dillaman
  23. Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny, but I was wondering if he used it in his show, as I watch usually, but I don't remember this. -James Dillaman
  24. Yeah and what's up with the fire underwater on Spongebob Squarepants, not to mention all the animals walking on two legs and talking! Oh yeah, and I can't believe after only overlooking minor flaws like these that the cartoon animators don't spend weeks making sure the math is right on their rollercoasters. Cartoons are cartoons, nobody is really angry if the physics don't work out. -James Dillaman
  25. ^ Updates on construction would be the primary purpose of this thread, yes. (For those of us not watching the webcam 24/7 ) -James "Flashback will be operating soon " Dillaman
