  1. ^ If they are still on racing tracks... yeah, sign me up for racing TTD's... it would even fit the theme. -James Dillaman
  2. Chuck, after the great time you showed Julia and I at KD, if you're at Kings Island, you better look me up. I'll return the favor. -James Dillaman
  3. ^ "Times must be really tough, I heard they sold it for scrap metal money!"
  4. ^ As long as it rides like the top five steel coaster it is, I could care less if they paint it pink and green! Seriously, if the ride is great, color isn't a big deal. -James Dillaman
  5. After driving by the park, I was simply amazed at how this ride towers over the skyline of the park. It's seriously big. If nobody posts a photo before I can drive by again (I'm just so busy), I'll try and take a few by next week. -James Dillaman
  6. I think it will be great as you won't feel as much car around you. And if they cut down on the weight of the trains, there should be less stress put on the track of the coaster, which should help them stay smoother longer for less money... One can only hope... -James Dillaman
  7. ^ And SoB's loop Six Flags bought from Cedar Fair!!! -James Dillaman
  8. best post of the thread award! -James Dillaman
  9. It's amazing that this is their first wooden coaster... Hopefully more will follow for China... -James Dillaman
  10. I miss my beloved Screechin' Eagle. That ride at night in the back seat was truly something to behold. Kids today don't have any idea... I hear all the time: "I like the Racer because of the crazy airtime!" If only they knew what was rotting away in the weeds just a couple exits north... -James Dillaman
  11. ^ That's my new favorite post to TPR this month...!! -James
  12. ^ That would make a lot of sense, actually. There was a little Batman movie that came out this past summer, remember? The superman franchise has been seriously overshadowed by the new Batmans.
  13. ^ If you read the last page, the word is it's being themed to Lex Luthor... no longer strictly superman. -James Dillaman
  14. Wow... just wow... It looks amazing from I-71, too. The skyline is much improved. -James Dillaman
  15. I have both pc's and macs, but by far my favorite machine ever is my new macbook pro. You also get the use of the genius bars at the apple stores, which is almost worth the extra cost right there... I say go with the macbook, unless you're a computer gamer, then get the Toshiba. -James Dillaman
  16. Nice use of theming on Rainbow. Although it saddens me, I like when parks make the best of a bad situation. Nice photos. -James Dillaman
  17. You seemed shocked. That happens all the time in the US... -James Dillaman
  18. Now that the park's closed for the season, you'll see less updates than usual. Just warning you... When more trackwork gets done, though, JZ and I were going to fly over the park and get some aerial photos of the layout. But I'm waiting until most of the trackwork is done so we actually have something interesting to take photos of... -James Dillaman
  19. Yep, Don't worry. The Cyclone and Deno's Wonder Wheel aren't going anywhere, and won't at least for the time being. On a side note, I enjoyed both of these rides, as well as the day I spent with my brother at Coney. The freak show was fun and I loved all the little shops around. I guess it's chic to knock Coney now that Six Flags built an Intamin woodie and nobody wants to knock them anymore? -James Dillaman
  20. ^ I sense some sarcasm in that post that wasn't picked up on... -James Dillaman
  21. "Let's ride in the buzzbar row!" "Nah, I like the open-front row..." -James Dillaman
  22. ^ It clearly shows variations on the vehicle designs, the front one is a four-wheel design with open front and individual lap bars, the second (white) car is a four-wheel with closed front and buzz bar with no seat dividers, and the last car is a trailored version of the first. -James Dillaman
  23. The "Midwest" is only what each person perceives it to be, it isn't a defined area. You're just mad because I forgot Kansas. I'm sorry, Kansas is also in the midwest, which as stated in the article I linked too, is a specific geographic region outlined by the united states census bureau.
  24. Midwest includes Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa. It goes back to a time when Illinois, etc. was as far as the country went. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midwest Oh, and since this one will have a LOT more drops than MF, if it has any halfway decent air, I may actually enjoy it more... -James Dillaman
  25. ^ It'll be the best coaster in the park, hands down, and that's all we can ask for. It may even be the best hyper in Ohio, we'll have to see... -James Dillaman
