  1. Wait, I'm confused. Is a strip club building a coaster with yellow track, now? I've lost my place in this thread... -James Dillaman
  2. ^ I think you meant "who CARES what they have to say." They're strippers. -James Dillaman
  3. All height and other restrictions should as a rule be placed in front of the ride line. It keeps guests happy and doesn't slow down operations when you have to explain to people that they can't ride once they get into the station. Hopefully SFMM will get a sign out front and change the website quickly before any other children and their parents get the same treatment. -James Dillaman
  4. I've seen many African Americans on coasters, but I've never taken one on myself. My only African friend doesn't really like coasters, as he's a chicken (no pun intended) (he's reading this over my shoulder and laughing his ass off) -James
  5. The big concrete piling in the middle of the turn, which is attached to the turn by steel cables, is called a deadman. I believe this is true, anyway. -James Dillaman
  6. ^ I don't think you'll be seeing any painted woodies in the current economy. The cost-benefit analysis just doesn't add up.
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong (I hate starting posts like this), but doesn't Cedar Point's corkscrew actually have a little airtime hill after the first drop before the loop? Maybe I'm remembering it wrong. I looked for pictures but there don't seem to be any of that part of the ride... -James Dillaman
  8. ^ Uh.. yeah it did. As far as I've seen no one has released plans for the ride, yet, so they've remained confidential, have they not? -James Dillaman
  9. ^ Sean's just showing off the fact that he's not relationship stupid like many of us! I'm so happy to be featured touching a picture of coaster track. Unfortunately I no longer work for an airline, so I can't make any sort of Terminator campout. The memories of the Tatsu campout will stay with me always, though. I'll be watching my mailbox!! -James Dillaman
  10. ^ Or you can "Trailer Park Boys" it and blur out every logo, sign, and picture in your video. -James Dillaman
  11. This has become my new favorite thread. Who needs more discipline than a bunch of coaster nerds anyway? -James Dillaman
  12. I really try to keep an open mind about things, but I was soooooo amped up about the opening of SoB the summer it debuted.. I waited 10 hours+ to ride it because it kept breaking down, and it was a total let down aside from the loop. The loop was one of the coolest loops I've ever been on, right up there with the first loop on Superman: Krypton Coaster. After they took the loop out, I gave it a chance, but I don't see how a couple helixes and 1 big, airtime-less drop can constitute a top-ten coaster on anybody's list. That said, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I just don't understand logically how the layout of El Toro or Voyage alone, not even considering rolling stock, can be compared to that of SoB. -James Dillaman
  13. They meant first B&M flying coaster. Plus the pictures of that one I've seen just look ridiculous!
  14. Great photos!!! Thanks for sharing these, Phil! -James Dillaman
  15. I don't believe that coaster is better than Whizzer, although I haven't been on it, yet... It's hard to beat the classics... Fahrenheit sure does look pretty in pictures, though. -James Dillaman
  16. I appreciate this site more after checking out the others on the list. I had never looked at RCPro before, and although it was busy, the entire thread just bashing TPR was a big turn-off to me. I hope nobody will do that here. Let's try and keep TPR on the moral high-road, so to speak. We're all out to get news, updates, photos, and reports from amusement parks around the globe, and warring with each other helps nobody. Everyone on TPR has to vote, though... EVERYONE!!! If every member votes, TPR will win no contest at all! And Ted needs our support in best design! Please don't forget to vote for Coasterfanatics in best design! -James Dillaman
  17. ^ Think of how much better your dinner will taste when the coaster goes right across your table! -James Dillaman
  18. ^ Let me introduce you to my friend, the comma: "," Anyway, I'm looking forward to Diamondback, of course. I'm also intrigued by Pilgrim's Plunge, although I'm not sure if I'll make it to Holiday World next season or not. It all depends on the money situation, although I'm sure I'll get on Diamondback! -James Dillaman
  19. I voted... Go TPR!!! Coaster Fanatics is in a close heat with RCPro!! C'mon guys, help him out! -James Dillaman
  20. ^ Don't worry, if the past is anything to go by, the new coaster at KI should be operating by late June or July easy. -James Dillaman
  21. ^ It's just a flickr set, it isn't like a link to his website or something... anyway, Those pics are really cool. I've always wanted to do the Discovery Cove dolphin swim thing, but it just seems so overpriced to me. In college, I don't see how I could justify spending that much ever on one attraction. -James Dillaman
  22. I'm just confused as to how you can say HRP was better than a CF park... Granted I've never been there but from TR's I've read here, that just wasn't the case. -James Dillaman
  23. I heard that about you, James. You've never had any complaints, Joe!! Yeah, it would be a cool little reunion, although I haven't been with you and Chuck at the same time before... I guess it's still a reunion in the broad sense of the word.
