  1. just think of all the complaints that would occur from someone doing a belly flop or a back flop and being sore for half an hour. I doubt if this will ever see the light of day in the US, unless a park wants to get sued. -Debbie Downer looks like it would be fun though and I would love to give it a try -Chris
  2. I would definitely have to say X had the most surprising line I've waited in. This is just because it looked like it was a 20 minute wait and it ended up being two hours with a train departing every five minutes... It was bad. I may have just been there during training or something, but I hope that operations have improved.
  3. I don't think that Mean Streak qualifies for this because it really isn't that rough or bad, it is just a slow moving, boring, and way too of a long ride. I also don't think that Grizzly is the worst even though it is a little rough and really boring. I think the worst coaster is definitely the Texas Giant. I go on this coaster once every year and it only gets worse as time progresses. Every time a train comes back into the station people are complaining about how unbearably rough it was and how much pain it caused them. It is like having a jack hammer digging into your spine, neck, and head for two minutes, it's just pure hell.
  4. I agree, It has to be a drop tower. Now the only question is S&S or *INTAMIN* (Please choose the later). If this is true does it mean the end of Liberty Launch?
  5. I think there are three coasters that come to mind for me (all in Texas)... 1. Steel Eel (SWSA): this coaster has AMAZING ejector air and is just plain fun 2. Shockwave (SFoT) his coaster also has amazing air in the back seat and it very smooth and intense for its age. 3. Superman Krypton Coaster: honestly this thing is amazing for its perfect combination of elements and its use of the terrain. I also agree with the Titan/Goliath comments, though I prefer Titan for its extra helix, it really does make a big difference.
  6. ^ I think that that ride looks fun. Although I can almost guarantee you that this is not what the layout will look like. This looks like someone saw the concept art, got excited about it and decided to make a No Limits version of the ride and post it on youtube. There is no source on the layout and I doubt that Sea World would use No Limits for their promo video, unless they wanna take the Hershey route.
  7. ya, the website has stopped working. So either Universal is dealing with the pictures or Screamscape is having issues.
  8. http://www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/rides/X2.aspx There is your proof that the coaster has been testing. Click on the video button on the X2 banner on the top of the page.
  9. The only time I have ever felt that a lap bar was not sufficient was when I went on the Great Dipper at the SCBB when I was around 12. I was a pretty small kid so there was a couple of inches of space between my lap and the lap bar. I was so terrified that I was going to fly out of the seat that I clutched on to the restraint for the whole ride! thought also believe that It was that very ride that made me become an enthusiast !
  10. That was a great photo/video trip report! You did an amazing job of showing of the opening ceremonies.
  11. Mindbender looks like the best coaster at SFoG. It is one of those coasters that I have always wanted to ride. Especially since I think that riding in the backseat of Shockwave at SFoT is one of the best roller coaster experiences there is (an amazing and incredibly underrated coaster, as I'm sure Mindbender is).
  12. http://dollywood.com/you-should-know/default.aspx?id=59 Hmmmm....... Wonder if it will be anything? Maybe whats happening up in the train loop? Well she is making some surprise appearances and not surprise announcements, so I doubt it. She just wants to stop by.
  13. I really enjoy Frisco! It's a very nice, new, and developing area. There's an IKEA, and many great places for entertainment. My dad lives there, and I really like it. The Six Flags' are two of the best in the entire chain (IMHO), and I really love the Sea World, it is HUGE! I am sure you'll enjoy the area, I wish you good luck with the move, I have moved many times and I know how hard it can be.
  14. Definitely Jurassic Park. The scene with the kids and the raptors, in the kitchen, is INTENSE.
  15. They're putting two in Texas. There is one at SFFT, which opened this year, and SFOT is getng one next year. SFMM is also farhter away from SFDK (distance wise) than SFOT is to SFFT.
  16. Worst: X: Slowest moving line ever? Worst/Longest: TTD: 4 hrs (2 weeks after opening), after continuous breakdowns. The worst part was sitting down in the front seat and departing the station. After the train in front of mine stopped half way down the launch track our car was pulled back into the station (and the best part) the ride was broken down for a month! Worst coaster experience I have EVER had!
  17. It's definitely riding in the front seat on Xscream, on the Stratosphere tower in Las Vegas. Terrifying! Insanity is also pretty scary, but it's nowhere near the scariness level of Xscream.
  18. Your trip report was hilarious! The best part was the Acer Game, classic.
  19. I preferred Disney Pixar Studios, although I don't mind the new name, it seems slightly cheesy. I wish that they revealed more information on all of these upcoming attractions that were mentioned. I do like the the attractions that were reveaed, except for High School Musical 2 (haven't we had enough of that?). I think that this is a poitsive move for the studios though.
  20. I had this problem on TTD and Millennium Force in 2005, except with a cell phone. Luckily I went with my cousin, who bought the cell phone. The problem with the phone was that it was slightly sticking of her pocket and the ride ops were afraid it would come out during ride. So, When we got to the coaster's station, the ride ops would let one of us ride the coaster, while the other stood on the exit Ramp with the phone. Then when they got off of the coaster we would switch positions and the other person would ride. It is sorta like Disney's child swap program, but only with a cell phone. But in your guy's case, I can already hear the employee at the ride's entrance saying," That item is too large to carry on the ride with you, but you can rent one of our *cheap*, and conviently placed lockers right behind you." I would definitely contact CP, via their website, and find out for sure.
  21. I forgot to add another of my favorite stations, only at night though. Top Thrill Dragsters (Night) station. One of my favorite stations, and my favorite "after-dark" station.
  22. I definitely have to go with Mr. Freeze, at SFOT (I have never ridden the St. Louis version). Batman, also at SFOT. This is my favorite version of the ride. Dueling Dragons: Simply amazing. Revenge of the Mummy. Any Disney ride. One of my favorite stations. The train moving thing is awesome, and it's cold inside. Best themed SF coaster ever.
  23. This sounds exciting, and I'm relieved that Tom Sawyer Island won't be dominated by pirates. I can't believe that the only thing WDW is getting is Toy Story Mania, I figured that they would at least get something else.
  24. Its is definitely Cedar Point, Six Flags Over Texas, and Six Flags Magic Mountain, in that order. If your afraid of roller coasters I can imagine these parks being very intimidating. I, on the other hand, find the drive up to them amazing!
