  1. Well, pictures of the site will be hard to get now. A wonderful plywood fence has been added around the perimeter of the whole construction site. A smart move by CP if you ask me, put the fence up after the media leaves. I admit that the area looks a lot nicer now then it did when it was a giant dirt pit. http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=3539
  2. I think that there is a chance that this could be an Aqua Trax except for the fact that construction is starting so early. I don't believe in all of CP's history has actual ground breaking began this early. The only reason I could see this happening for an Aqua Trax is that the ride would be getting great "advertisement"(well it already is!). I think that this is going to be a prototype that will be tested thoroughly before it opens.(CP does not want another Dragster) How long did the other Aqua Trax take to Construct?
  3. I just don't think that an Aqua Trax would be very fun. The one at Lotte World looks really neat but it just doesn't seem like that great of a coaster. I would be much happier if CP got a great flat ride or a great coaster than one of these, but I can't really say considering I have never been on an Aqua Trax.
  4. HA HA usually when I call I get the come on! get on! Cedar Point! song but I have never heard the snoopy song.
  5. Well... A little birdie told me something too, and to me this sounds more reasonable and believable. I was told that a new White Water Landing will be built with a new Intamin coaster. He didn't tell me what the coaster would be but this idea makes a lot of sense to me. Look at the clues: the station, queue, and sign is still in tact. The logs are even still on the site, and the water pumps were not demolished. All that needs to be done is add the actual log flume that will be bigger, faster, and better than the original. Then build the new Intamin coaster. Hmmm.
  6. Sorry I didn't really know the whole story behind the accident, but I am still sticking with my theory that CP won't be getting the aqua trax.
  7. Sorry rollermonkey, but I really don't think that this is going to be an Intamin aqua trax coaster. I just beleive it is way to hyped up by the people who actually know what it is to be something so disapointing. Although I could be wrong I just don't see this happening because construction has started so early, the "CP clues" don't point to this, and I don't think CP would build this coaster after the accedent the other one had.
  8. I saw the TTD cable snap and while it didn't shoot sparks it made a loud bang and then the cable flew out into the midway talk about scary.
  9. Great Pics! I really love SCBB it is such a small but great park. YAY Giant Dipper and Loggers Revenge.
  10. ^^ Maybe they'll build two coasters on the White Water Landing site if one of them is a ball coaster, since it doesn't take up too much space. It is such a huge space so I can see this happening. Besides the CP Blog said "put two and two together" but well just have to wait to find out what it really is.
  11. It looks great Rob! I definitely prefer this version over the previous version. Thanks
  12. I have actually been on a lot of family coasters that had some forces on them and they were amazingly and surprisingly great rides. My favorite ones are Timberland Twister at The Park at MOA (aka Camp Snoopy) and Road Runner Express at SFFT. RRE has to be the best mine train ever, I actually got scared on it a couple of times and it was very surprising because it looked like a horrible and boring ride and the only reason that I went on it was to get a credit. Boy was I surprised, it ended up being great!
  13. I have been on every Batman in the U.S. (except for the one at Six Flags St Louis) and I have been on Great White at Sea World San Antonio. I thought that they were all the same except for one. I would have to say Great White was the most intense coaster that I have been on. The forces on that thing were mind blowing and I don't know why because the only difference between these coasters are the colors and the theming. I went for a front seat ride first, and thought that it was great, and then I went for the back seat and I almost couldn't handle how incredibly intense this coaster was.
  14. I too thought that Kong was a boring ride, except for my first ride when I was about 7 years old. Back then the ride scared me to death, but as I got older it just got boring. Besides Mummy is a GREAT ride and I don't think that I will ever find it to be boring.
  15. Some Top Spins can make me feel ill, except for the one at Valleyfair! it's called Riptide and it shoots water at you which made the sickness go away I guess. Then there is anything that you have to manually spin (teacups) which just make me BARF.
  16. all that I have to say is where you should sit on all of these great coasters. Millennium Force: Sit in the very front or the very back.(If you want to experience the drop wait for the front) Top Thrill Dragster: Front seat.(don't try the second seat, it's just not the same) Raptor: Back seat on the right side.(a great freefall experience on the first drop when your sitting in this seat) Blue Streak: Back seat.(you will get great airtime) Disaster Transport: Anywhere(If the line is over 20 min skip this ride) Wicked twister: Front or Back seat(gives the best drop) Mean Streak: Front seat(is the least painful seat) Gemini: anywhere(this is a fun ride in any seat) Iron Dragon: back seat(great freefall experience on first drop) Mantis: anywhere(this gives you the same experience in any seat) corkscrew: anywhere(skip if you don't want a headache) Magnum XL 200: Front or back seat(great airtime) Cedar Creek Mine Mine Ride: Sit in the front (looks like you are going to fly off of the track on the turns) Wildcat: anywhere(this is a really fun little ride)
  17. Wow, that was a great update! The new additions are coming along great and I can't wait to go To SFMW to check it all out in a couple of days.
  18. ^^^^That is the same thing that I did, it really works great because I wouldn't come near any coaster at all and now look at me I can't get off of them. I had cousins that were younger than me and I wanted to look brave and courageous. Thank God they were there
  19. I went to USH last Saturday, I was just finishing my very long TR when my computer crashed and I don't feel like writing all of that again right now so you'll probably see it tomorrow. Anyways I was looking for one of the infamous Kuka arms all day and I never managed to find one no matter where I looked. I was almost finished with my great day at USH and I was disappointed that I wasn't going to find one. So I decided to head down to the Studio Tour since the line was short. I was having a great time and then our tour guide started talking about the new Fast and the Furious attraction that was being added to the tour, and would be finished this summer along with the movie. That was all that he said being sure not give off too much information about what was going to happen. All that I saw was a lot of bricks and "stuff" covered in tarps. I began to think that the Kuka arms had already been placed under the tarps and I had to hold myself back from jumping out of the tram. So then at the end of the Studio Tour we were waiting for a truck to go by because they needed it for the filming of the season finale Desperate Housewives.(sadly we couldn't see any of the Housewives) When out of the corner of my eye I saw a car flying through the air, and I knew exactly what it was, I was finally seeing what I had been waiting to see all day the Kuka arm. Now this is going to be hard to describe but this is exactly what I saw so I will use these this picture to describe it. (from Westcoaster) look at the first and second picture: http://www.westcoaster.net/updates.php?updateCD=040606 Now, where the giant rod sticking out of the top and to the left is where the "car" was attached. the "car" was a hollow shell, kind of like the body of a monster truck, the whole thing was made of plastic. the rod was put into the very center of the car and it would spin it in 360 degree motions, kind of like it was doing donuts. The giant hinge that the rod is attached to would go back and forth, so where it is at in that picture the car would be on its side. This hinge could also spin in a 360 degree motion so now the whole thing king of looks like a mini much faster Topple Tower. Then all of the pieces that you see a hinge bends around in many different motions. Then the whole contraption moves back and forth on the sliding part on the bottom. I hope you understand that description I know that it is very confusing. Now keep in mind that this moves very very fast and seems to have an unlimited amount of movements. I really think that this will be very cool and will be a great addition to the Studio Tour. I am just confused as to what it will do exactly. I could see it going underground that way it looks like the car is driving around, but that would be a HUGE hole to dig.
  20. For me there are three rides that I think are way too overrated: 1. X: I went on this coaster three times and came of with a horrible headache each ride. It is neat that the seats can do 360 degree rotations, but it is just not a fun ride and it is way to short. 2. Superman The Escape: The launch isn't very powerful and the cars only go half way up the tower which starts out 50 ft. above the ground so I don't see how it can even be considered as being 400ft. tall. 3. Volcano: It is a fun ride, but it is over right when it seems to start going.
  21. Thank you, but now the forecast says that there is a 40% chance of rain on Saturday.Does anyone know how the crowds usually are when it rains, I am guessing that rain will keep people away from the park. Well I hope it does anyway. Thanks, -Chris
  22. I have to choose to go to USH on either Friday April 14 or Saturday April 15. Now my problem is that if I go on Friday it will have to be from 1:30pm to closing at 8:00 pm, and there is a 60% chance of rain(and I think that the crowds will be minimul). Then again if I go on Saturday it will be sunny and I can go the whole day, but it will be the first day of Spring Break for Caifornia(and I am expecting HUGE crowds). So I am interested to see what you guys think that I should do. -thanks Chris
  23. Oh, it is soooo hard to choose considering these are my two favorite parks in the Six Flags chain, but I would have to say SFOT. They have better coasters and a lot of places to keep cool. Although I know which ever park that you choose you will have an amazing time. I have been to both of these parks during a hurricane and still had a great time (they were totally emptie and every ride was open and a walk-on) they never will disapoint me. -Chris
