  1. I got to see it test a few times today, it was pretty cool actually. The trains look great on the track. I was hoping it would get as far as the trench while I was there but no dice. Iron Maiden was freaking killer!
  2. I am going to see Iron Maiden on Sunday in Tampa so I will stop by and hopefully see it run. Good chance to check out Ramp Jam.
  3. I hate when the crews don't hustle. I have seen some very good crews but some terrible ones as well. My last trip to BGT the crew on Kumba was completely un-interested.
  4. Have a pocket full of quarters and be prepared to use them. People will shoot you with the water cannons, you will need to administer payback. Posiedens Fury does completely suck compared to the original but do it anyway if you have time. Ride Hulk in the front and in the back as well. I also love the back car on Dueling Dragons but the front is a can't miss. The layouts are completely different so ride both sides. Forbiddeen Journey and Spidey are both awesome. I have known people who have gone to IOA and not ridden Spiderman, don't be one of those people. Islands is twice as good at night so don't wuss out early.
  5. DDD looks really cool. I atually just got around to watching the POV in case I can attend DSB. I't been a while since I have been to the park so I have never ridden Goliath either.
  6. I have seen the lines in there get laughably long. Folks who come down when the parks are very busy would probably walk away feeling let down. Waiting in line to wait in line just sucks, seems Universal has no choice but to expand. A new indoor coaster would be a great reason alone for Harry Potter to exist.
  7. I have actually had a couple very cool experiences by that fountain. My neices were totally fooled by it when they were little and still fun. Hopefully it could be worked in, I bet it can. The conversion to Potter came with some casualties for sure. Dueling Dragons is certainlty worse now by quite a margin. I bet Potter has some staying power though, the numbers will decline and still be awesome numbers. Islands with another big ticket and a better stunt show, I'll take it. Even if they build a new resturaunt that is similar caliber to Mythos I would be totally for it. A diagon alley area would be really cool for me. Bring in the new...well sometimes.
  8. Very nice job. You guys should run the goverment.
  9. All of the options we have in the U.S. does make it difficult at times to decide. I am facing a similar "problem".
  10. I have learned elsewhere that they were moving the train around inside the station today. The fencing is nearly done as well, getting closer.
  11. For 36% increase in attendance I would let J K Rowling dress me in the morning.
  12. ^ Enjoy your trip, I too have been passless for a while and it is killing me. I love the Potter area and definitely look forward to the coaster if they build one. That seems like the more logical idea with the existing dark rides and the success of Mummy. I haven't cared about PF since they changed it from the original show. I was in the first public group to see it and the show was nostalgic to me...and the original show was like ten times better than the current version IMO. The shops being soooo small was the only down side of the area for me, other than the one I have managed to repress. It will always be Dueling Dragons to me and I just don't look at the queue anymore.
  13. These are great fun. We have one here in Orlando and it is a very uneasy feeling in the wind. Our ride program is pretty long with the swings moving up and down the tower several times. It used to have some single seats which was even more awesome, they are all doubles now. For real fun ride alone on a windy day, the thing pitches around all over the place. The silence is very strange.
  14. I like the fair trip reports a lot. One with actual chocolate would maybe be the best thing ever.
  15. I love the reports when you guys travel, thanks for taking us all along with you.
  16. There is a full train in the station and Darwin award winner fencing is nearly done. Testing could be very soon. They will probably finish up the fence this week so maybe next week they can let her loose. Mostly off topic but , have you guys ever seen the Christian the lion video on Youtube. I love the big cats and the video is really pretty cool, watch the 2 minute version...and be a good friend.
  17. Could someone please tell me what the magic seat is? I rode New Jersey's GASM 2 years ago and was obviously not in it.
  18. I have ridden two coasters solo, Mummy and Hulk. My ride on Mummy was very cool and I wanted to buy the photo sooo bad but had already totally blown my budget on a Grinch figurine over at Islands. My ride on Hulk came on a summer evening waiting for the front car, it was strangely peaceful. You know how they put monitors on coaster riders sometimes to see the increase in heart rate etc., I am convinced that my heart rate goes down. I am just so contented when I get to ride coasters.
  19. Kumba is just kicking butt right now so I will go with that. The Dania Beach Hurricane does deserve a mention though...and so does Dwight Howard for MVP, I'm just sayin.
  20. Cool looking park. I love the POV's of coasters I wont have a chance to actually ride, thanks for posting the updates.
  21. Big Mike , hey brother, Glad to see the big man back on the hunt for credits. It is hard for me to believe that a person could ride every coaster in the U.S., good luck on your quest. I am mostly a lurker here in Big Mike world but I can tell you are a guy who values fun and hotties and I can get with that.
  22. For the earlier morning and later evening , I would go with Sunday. For one thing it wont be that busy, especially early in the day. In the afternoon take a break and eat and see a couple shows. When the late afternoon comes it will be a cool time to be in the park. Aside from the coasters, Busch Gardens is a world class zoo so dont miss the animal stuff. Lastly, consider the Quick Queue unlimited ticket, if I am in a park I will rarely get to or perhaps just go to once, I always get front line privledges, 44 bucks at most and well worth it if you got the dough. Have fun BGT is awesome.
  23. Yeah my mistake about the post season game but they are playing the Marlins and the Mets around the time of the trip. I haven't seen the Braves play since the old launching pad, the Hawks since the Omni, you get the picture, it's been a while but I love that town. The last time I went to SFOG the Georgia Cyclone was new and freaking awesome!!! If there is someone cool playing in Heaven, the Mas could be an epic TPR side adventure, one for the ages. Get Piers a plane ticket, I am drinking with that dude...and my hair is a train wreck, help out bro.
  24. For me the keys is definitely about fishing and drinking but I would add sorkeling to the top activities. The first time i stuck my head under water at looe key reef I was blown away, it is a must do while in the keys. If you take your own boat it is probably quite a bit better but the tours are cheap and plentiful, it's about 7 miles offshore but the swimming can be pretty easy on nice days. For food the stuffed pig just before the 7 mile bridge is tops for me for breakfast. Big pine has a beautiful little hole in the wall called no name pub, very good pizza, served on ply-wood but still really good. Personally Key west is a one day out of seven for me, I could miss it. The magic that happens in the keys happens out in the open blue. I miss the Humps.
  25. I'm in. This could be my first event iwth TPR, I'm gonna buy something nice to wear...and get a haircut. Maybe a Braves post season game too, that would be killer. Are the Masquerade and Charlie Magruder's still open? I haven't been to Atlanta since 1992 but it was a good time back then.
