Opening everything at once does seem to be a little risky but completely necessary at the same time. You need to make a big splash or you might as well forget it, but it would be good to have something new to hype from time to time as well. They will either get the money or they wont. The rides would cost a lot but I am sure they have probably figured out the estimated cost and are still interested in going through with it. I mean come on obviously an amusement park is expensive, I am betting they have that part figured out. The bigger rides would bring in people, that is a no brainer IMO. Keeping people happy beyond that will remain the bigger challenge. 2 to 2.5 million people a year seems reasonable, hell I will be 200 of those people. For OTP I think the way forward will be easier than it was in MB. There is an obvious difference between Orlando and Myrtle Beach S.C. that I think most everyone here can figure out.

This sounds good to me. I am looking forward to trying it out next summer. It will be very interesting to see how they do it. It seems like another turn would have to be added to make it line up but I could be missing something obvious. The trims coming off the drop is the best news ever. -

That's just crazy looking. I am not familiar with the park but those pictures look wild. Honestly I had no idea there was a park anywhere that was just left to rot. -
I guess I am lucky to have only ridden the Georgia Psyclone in year one, sorry to here of it's condition now. My uncle was a carpenter on Mean Streak so I would love to see it get better, it would require some imagination and reprofiling for sure. I personally never rode Texas Giant but the new one looks incredible. I agree with others who have said the ride actually looks scary, great job!! Thanks for the pictures they are awesome.

Mostly off topic but, has anyone seen the Tosh.O spoiler for Human Centipede? Language is not for the kids but it is very funny. There is a cut and uncut version and describes the entire movie if you plan to see it. -

Launches Airtime My Mom riding the Witches Wheel with me when no one else would. Her one and only amusement park ride ever, and my first. Thanks Elissa for bringing this up. -

There are many good arguments for this failing but I am not getting the argument that there has to be themeing. What I have seen from the plans is a lot of water and some landscaping, in my opinion thats perfectly conceived. It is exactly what I would do if it was my money. By arguing there has to be themeing you are saying they should try to compete with the big guys already here, that is a recipe for guaranteed failure considering their respective budgets. I would have the most awesome light package I could afford and stay open as late as possible on as many days as possible...and have killer signage and great names for the rides. I would have loved to hear from Chuck Bell that more of the money had been raised. Not a surprise however it is pretty early. Personally I see the money as the only real hurdle. Anyone have a guess at what the land will cost? I would hide Baker himself for a while, somebody else has to be the face of this thing. Chuck Bell I think would be better, he reminds me of Pat Williams a little when he was trying to bring the Magic here. I don't see any way they could come out of the box with as many big time rides as they are talking about but it has to be a great line up from day 1.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi Photo Trip Report

^ Hype. I share your confusion on that in general but not as much with launch rides. Now trimming drops should bring horrible agony to the doers. -
Yes, that could be a cool dark ride system. Maybe this is Disney's plan B after missing out on the Kuka Arm. To get one to work and be rideable is going to require someone who is good at math. Seems like it would be very difficult to get right. However I have a feeling this could be real cool especially if Disney gets a hold of it.
