^Dragster coming to Orlando, I wish. I am pulling for them though. The lineup you mentioned would be enough of a draw if the price wasn't to bad. Seems way to good to be true, but something pretty small and very directly marketed to big kids could maybe work. What you say could be Eurofighter struck me as a X-car, I hope your'e right.

Bummer that the name is bringing people down so much. I interpreted it to mean the cheetah was hunting but certainly see where the confusion could come from, several prominent members with a lot of theme park knowledge did interpret it the other way. I think it is unfair to call out someone's intelligence for it. Personally I think the confusion alone is enough reason to change the name. Night rides will be the kind of awesome that awesome is.

I read an article that stated the tallest ride would be 425 feet and the park would have coasters with vertical Tophats. A 425 foot drop tower would be a fun little ride. If they added the type of thrill rides we don't have I think they could do ok. There would have to be several very good attractions and something big like a hyper. If the plan is to bring in Zeppelin don't bother. To make it work they would need some deep pockets. And... if you want to build a thrill park then build a thrill park, let the families go to the other parks, you will not be able to compete. We already have Fun Spot and we already have Skycoaster, Slingshot, Star Flyer, SkyVenture etc so I wouldn't try to do any of that.

I watched the promo video and it was very cool. Seeing the different angles made it look even better, especially the shot coming up into the tower. I believe the cheetahs being in the area will make the ride better, if that makes any sense at all. I know for me the rays help on Manta. Hopefully we see more of those type of attactions. Oh and more Intamins.

Was I the only person saying it like Cheet a ka instead of Chee ta ka. I think the name is bad enough that changing it could be considered. Maybe not. I am pleasantly surprised about the 130 foot drop, I was thinking maybe 100 feet. I was having a hard time believing the lap bar thing, going into the tower would have been pretty knarly. Cheetah hunt looks to have significant airtime which we could use more of down here.

Seems a bit like something a tamer coaster would have. Maybe they will have a cheetah head and still look a little mean. I keep thinking of the wacky worms. The ride wont have any complaints about the amount of themeing. I am sure they did a nice job with the trains, the rest of the ride looks beautiful.

Yeah I was screwed up on the launches too until recently. That tower is no more than 100 feet, give or take. I am pretty sure based on the statement from Busch Gardens about going from 0 to 60, the train will launch out of the station at 0 to 60. Either that or it will come to a complete stop before the third launch and I just don't see that. Does anyone know what the current record for acceleration from 0 to 60 is, in terms of how many seconds. I wonder if they could do it in under 2 seconds as an example. Everyone join me in wishing for a 200 foot tophat after the third launch. I would love to here a couple guesses on the remainder of the layout. Cheetaka is officially Florida's best coaster.

^ Cool, that answers the lure track question. I am holding out hope that there will be something about the queue that is more like Manta. Is the queue going to be only in the old monorail building? It does seem like there wont be very many places for viewing from there. However, I just cant see them not trying a see the cheetah be the cheetah type thing. I had a thought that is at least new to me, will the train launch out of the station from 0 to 60, and then be boosted even faster by the second launch? I wouldn't expect it to stop before the third launch so that must be the case right?

Ratmead, Is the lure track going to launch with the train? Obviously not with every train but periodically? I think the ride will be interactive in the way Manta is, the queue will have viewing and a non rider entry for the animal exhibit. A high speed coaster can't really interact with an animal unless it is separated by glass or something. I mean even a bad ass cat would become insane if they had a roller coaster in their house. I agree about the Tower producing some cool airtime, and then into some tight turning, and while elevated, yeah that doesn't look boring to me. I remember when the animation for Maverick was released, people thought that ride looked boring. I think the video effects are intended to conceal other elements and replicate the sunny weather of the intended theme, not to mis-represent the ride. The end of the ride seems a little lacking but you won't find me complaining.

Monday. Monday. Man I love Mondays. I was not expecting the Figure 8 to be flat up top but it looks cool. The trenches are just awesome. It also looks like the train will launch flat out of the station and the turn will swoop down into the second launch. Those two launches are too close together to be anything but a boost. I would be very surprised if the next feature isn't a heartline or barrel roll. The old Rhino Rally canyons could hold a nice surprise and a couple of inversions leading into the third launch. The distance following the Third launch is a little short, it will be interesting to see what elements will be there and what the top speed is. The ride looks to end with a nice airtime hill into the brakes. Cheetaka is officially Florida's best coaster, folks this ain't Hollywood Rockit.
