  1. Welcome back, Big Mike! I was following your pics on Facebook, and it looks like you and Megan had a great time. Crossing my fingers...
  2. Looks pretty neat! Love the theming, and the fronts of the trains. Thanks for the coverage, Hanno!
  3. Of the 92 wood coasters that I've ridden, I'd say El Toro (SFGAdv), for sure!
  4. ^ I think that's a great idea! While some of the entries are pretty damn funny, that one just works the best.
  5. Funny! I'm really excited to see what this thing ends up turning into, other than a perfect excuse for me to get back to SDC. Thanks for the pics, Chad!
  6. - Definitely talking with your friends, family, or whoever you're with. - Take photos of the ride you're waiting for, and the theming or anything else that you can't see from outside the queue. - Listen to music through your headphones (if you're by yourself). - Look at, read, or study the park map. - Try not to smash peoples heads on rails, trash cans, etc., that keep repeatedly running into the back of you or stepping on the back of your feet. - My favorite... wear dark sunglasses and check out the "scenery".
  7. Loved it! What an awesome thing to be able to do, and it's crazy how small the parks actually look from the air. Looking forward to part two!
  8. The new lighting package on Giant Wheel looks pretty nice. I just hope that it isn't so bright while you're on it at night, that you can't check out the rest of the park.
  9. POOP! I was playing silently, but obviously failed, haha.
  10. I'm surprised about how speedy it is. Looks like it's gonna be a great coaster.
  11. Great start! I'm really looking forward to the rest of your reports!
  12. Good stuff, Big Mike! I've been turned away from a bunch of coasters. I need to follow you around on your travels to soak up some of that Big Mike Charm.
  13. That's weird that they have all the coasters behind glass walls like that. I've always wanted to experience a SCAD tower, too. I had no idea that when I was at Mt. Olympus in the Dells, that there was one right across the street. I would imagine it would be the most scared I've ever been, but it's gotta be done! Also, hooray for 3 points in the Big Mike Most Valuable Reader of the Year Contest!
  14. What great update, and an awesome wedding! It's also pretty damn cool that Dick Knoebel actually drove them around the park himself. Like someone else said some pages back, I think the "Super Epic" contest entries will pick up a bit in the very near future now that all the parks are starting to open up for the season. I still plan on entering for whichever you have going on. Just gotta find the time to get my butt out to take the picture!
  15. I was gonna say it looks like the only good thing about this park is that it's on the beach, but you beat me to the punch in your last photo, haha.
  16. What beautiful views! The little chipmunks are adorable, too. I also loved the videos.
  17. Very nice pictures! I love the looks of that dark ride in the very first photo. Every time I see photos from any parks/fairs in Germany, it bums me out that I don't live there, haha. Thanks for sharing!
  18. *Hi Nicole!* What a good time that was! It's nice to relive it all again through your pics. Looking forward to the rest.
  19. Wow, this thing is looking incredible! I love the stacks of luggage for theming. I can't wait to check this thing out for myself, when it's open of course. Thanks for the update, Chuck! Also, from this picture, it looks like we may be seeing a return of the waterfall, which makes me really happy. Of all the stuff that has been going on with this ride, the return of the waterfall has been my biggest concern, haha.
  20. That zip line ride looks pretty fun. Sadly, I've never done any type of zip line. There's some courses in northern Michigan that I've been wanting to check out, but just haven't made it up there.
  21. You are correct, a plane having 1st Class seats does not affect your flight time, just like a coaster having Fast Pass does not affect your ride time. The people on the plane that paid 1st Class, get to walk right by you and board first, and you can still get on the same plane. Hell, they even get the front seats! The same as when someone pays for a Fast Pass and walks right by you to board the coaster train, and you can still get on the same train. It's not like they are loading five full trains of people with Fast Passes without letting any people on that don't have them.
  22. ^ The ride cycles must just depend on who's operating them, cause I've seen a couple videos that had a lot more bursts of speed with a lot less down time in between than that video shows.
  23. YESSS!!! Glad to see that I've accumulated a point tonight! Mystic Seaport looks like a nice little place. Anywhere that has anything to do with water and boats is OK in my book. Also, I'm pumped for the "Find The Double Ducky" to start up!
  24. Great TR, Chuck! Looks like you guys had an awesome time, and you've got some really nice photos here. I may get shunned from TPR for saying this, but I've never had the cinnamon bread while at Dollywood. It's definitely the second thing on my to do list for my next visit, right behind getting a ride on Wild Eagle.
  25. Yayyy, glad to see you're back in action! Even though other people have done TR's of Hollywood Drive-In Golf , I seem to see new things in each persons TR, just like I did yours. I too am a mini-golf nerd, and I can't wait to check this out for myself.
