  1. ^ Me too! Piers, you got robbed! Either way, this is some funny sh!t.
  2. ^ Damnit! I tried for one, but looks like you're the winner. Oh well.
  3. Got mine today. I just spent about 3.5 hours checking it out and STILL haven't seen everything on it! This thing kicks ass! I'll be sure to check out the rest of the goodies tomorrow. P.S. It was nice to see some bonus photos of myself from the Europe trip.
  4. Got my vote! I'll vote everyday till it's over. Good luck!
  5. It's a bummer that the rides side of the park had to close, but I'm happy to see the water park looking this good. Awesome pictures as usual. Thanks for sharing!
  6. Good stuff, Brandon! I wish that I could have gone with you, but once again, work ruined my fun. I'm glad to see that some people actually showed up to ride the coaster and seemed to be actually enjoying it. Looking forward to the rest of the photos.
  7. ^ Well that's good to know that they got the sinking problem fixed. Now, if they can only get this electrical thing worked out. I have no idea what the electrical problem is, but I can't imagine electrical problems and water going together very well. Kind of weird that they would leave the middle row open for an electrical problem, if that is the reason.
  8. I apologize for for taking this thread back a bit, but I was talking to one of my buddies that works at CP today and he shared some info that I hadn't heard before. I did a search to see if anything had been posted about it and didn't find anything. I haven't really been keeping up on this thread, so I'm sorry if this has already been talked about. I also haven't been to CP yet this season, so I have no idea if this is even happening. I was told that during "employee ride night" for Shoot the Rapids, basically "STR test night" from what I hear, that the boats were sinking when full of people. So I guess they have to leave the back seats of each boat empty to prevent them from sinking. Does anyone know if this is true? Sounds a bit fishy to me, seeing as how half a boat of big people could weigh the same as a full boat of small people. Unless they are keeping track of how much the boats weigh before sending them out. I don't know. Just thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone else knows anything.
  9. #1: Matterhorn Bobsleds - Disneyland (Anaheim, California, USA) #100: Goliath - Six Flags Over Georgia (Austell, Georgia, USA) #200: El Toro - Six Flags Great Adventure (Jackson, New Jersey, USA) #300: Colorado Adventure - Phantasialand (Brühl, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany)
  10. ^ The live scare actors in the dark ride got me, but the one that you didn't mention got me even worse. The guy at the end of the Psychedelic walk through that popped out of the wall made me about piss my pants! I almost punched him in the face, haha!
  11. I don't think there could have been a better substitute for Expedition GeForce, so thanks a million for that one! It was literally a dream come true to be able to ride Olympia Looping. I never in a million years thought that I would actually be able to ride it! I still can't believe it. I also can't thank Hanno enough for the photos he took as I now have an amazing souvenir photo of myself riding Olympia Looping in the front seat! I don't even drink and I had a flipping blast at the German Fair. What an awesome time it was! I thought it was really cool how they let our group try to climb the pole to ring the bell. I felt special that they let us be a part of their tradition. I was really concerned for the bus ride back that we would have a bunch of belligerent drunks acting a fool, but instead it was just a hilariously entertaining bus ride! Great times!
  12. I was just curious if putting a black border on the photo is considered "Edited", or if I could still enter it in the "Original" category?
  13. Great video, Edward! I really enjoyed it.
  14. What a great thread, Elissa! It's interesting to read about the trip through your perspective, so thanks a bunch for sharing. It's crazy to hear about all of the things that were looming over our heads that we had no idea about. I too was really worried about the ash clouds, as well as the BA strike issues. I'm glad everything worked out! I'm not the best with words, but I just want to say that I can't thank you and Robb enough for everything that you did for us on this trip. It was my first TPR trip, and I'm not gonna lie... I was quite nervous going into the trip and I had no idea what to expect, but man... I never could have imagined the great time that I was about to have. I am 100% dead serious when I say that this trip was the most fun I have EVER had! I felt like I got my money's worth by like the 3rd day of the trip. The only complaints that I have about the trip is how sad I am that it's over, and how impossible it is to explain to people the amount of fun that I had, and how many great people I met on the trip. Photos and videos do the trip no justice. I'm gonna leave it at this, as I don't want to spill ALL of my thoughts before I even start my TR for the trip. Thanks again to you and Robb. I can't even begin to imagine what you two go through to plan and execute these trips. Amazing!
  15. Good stuff, Larry! You might not take the best photos, but your captions are damn funny! It was great meeting you. I hope to hang with you on another TPR trip sometime soon. I mean, I do have to get a photo with the "other" cut off sleeveless shirt wearing person on the trips. I only wore 2 of them this trip, but damnit I did have 5 of them with me! Looking forward to the solo TR's. I'm interested to see where all you ventured to on your own.
  16. This is the best news EVER! I'm so happy that you're back in business! In honor of The Big Road Show making it's way back on the road, I want to do this little Photo:TR of my first time meeting Big Mike. This took place at the end of the coaster riding season last year. Big Mike seems awesome and super nice on TPR, but one meet up with him in real life proves it and reassures your thoughts! Thanks for the great time Big Mike, even if it was only a couple hours. I hope we can ride together again sometime soon! Our first stop was Jeeper's in Southfield, MI. They wouldn't let us take any photo's inside, so we had to settle for this shot out in the mall. Following TBMRS rental car on our way to Jeeper's in Clinton Township, MI. The big man in action. A behind the scenes shot! Big Mike doing what he does. Hoorayyyyy!!! Another photo of Big Mike and myself. This time in the parking lot of the Jeeper's in Clinton Township. This is unfortunately where we had to part ways as Big Mike was on his way to visit some family, and I was on my way to Cedar Point. So long, Big Mike! It was great meeting you. Thanks for everything, and thanks for being so nice to my Mom as well. I think she may have a crush on the big man.
  17. While it's a unique and some what fun ride, I think most of the fun and excitement comes more from the experience of riding it with a bunch of friends than the ride itself. Everyone dancing and clapping while going up the lift, then seeing everyone in the "mirror's" after you exit the lift. Then you also get to see each other while spinning the rest of the ride. It's a great time! While I agree that's it's not a super good coaster, the experience of riding it with a bunch of friends definitely makes it a super good experience. Not to mention, everyone hums and claps the Euro-Mir song for the next week, and some of us are still talking about it and have bought the soundtrack or downloaded some songs. I don't even care for that type of music, but damn, I had to buy it just cause it helps extend my great experiences that I had with everyone on the ride. Great times!
  18. Good stuff, Larry. Keep 'em coming. I absolutely love this photo and the caption! Hahahaha... Cory petitioning to join the "Tat Pack"
  19. Awesome photos as usual Hanno! I'm always excited when you post photos, but this time I am even MORE excited, as I see that I have made an appearance in a few of them! Thanks again Hanno, and it was great meeting you.
  20. Good stuff so far Davon! I'm glad that you decided to go ahead and do a TR. I'm still trying to sort through my thousands of photos so I can get my TR started, haha. Looking forward to seeing the rest of yours. It's fun to re-live the experience through photos.
  21. There should have been a little crank to adjust the height and angle of the camera. I don't think the photo you took looks bad though. P.S. Nice TR! I would love to get here someday. Thanks for sharing your trip.
