  1. Not sure being curious of the day's offering is freaking out. I'll have a good time regardless. Some folks traveling or making a special trip might be interested....and should probably reconsider opening day Six Flags trips in general.
  2. Is Leap the Dips opening this year? How has no one recommended cramming another park in and getting that credit?
  3. I'm hearing that Mindbender and Batman and more in Gotham wont be running for Opening Day. They are still working on installing the 2 awesome carnival rides for the new season among other things. That's going to be awesome if they are also doing 1 train Goliath on opening weekend again. Anyone else got more details?
  4. One thing I do is walk a lot. I became a mall walker months ago. I walk my neighborhood when weather is nice. I got a fitbit and force myself to hit min 15k every day. Not saying that's the goal for everyone, but just spending an hour or two walking helps me reset my thinking and focus on my goals. Then, I became motivated to add in more simple things I can do in my basement between work calls and during the evenings. One day at a time. I had a blast last year. I spent 20+ years not being able to ride. That's not going to happen again. Hang in there guys....for coasters and your life in general!
  5. Those cars look awesome. I hope this model keeps the intensity as it grows in size. Can't wait to ride this one. Probably my most anticipated for 2020, with Iron Gwazi right behind it. *Please note, I haven't ridden WW or RB but I'm dying to.
  6. Problem you have in May and June are school/church groups. Hard to predict. It's likely the lot could be fun with buses during those months. Still, if you want to ride a bunch, Timesaver will make it all pretty much a walk on if it happens to be one of those day.
  7. Can't imagine those lines during the 2 hours you have to redeem it.
  8. I was at Kennywood on Friday Aug 2 this past year. Awful Friday. They shut down for the day at 3 or 4. Turned out to be a beautiful night once it passed 30 minutes later. We went back to finish up rides the next Saturday. Packed. Ends up being some big ironworkers picnic/day at the park. Kept hearing locals in line talking about how crowded it was. Wife is fine never returning to KW. I really want to go a slow day. They have some really interesting coasters. Only got rerides on Phantom and Steel Curtain. I want to get on Jack Rabbit again.
  9. KW has a fast pass system. It's a bit different and the unlimited is out of their minds expensive. The VIP tour gives you a card and you ride certain coasters during certain time periods. Or, you could buy a Steel Curtain skip the line exit line pass for $20. KI weekend with FL will be walk ons with maybe a 5-10 minute here and there (and probably Orion). KI weekday during that time...I was there Wednesday Jun 12, 2019. We got there at open and knocked out all coasters and the drop tower by early afternoon. I got a few rerides here and there and we were back on the road by 4-5pm. Mystic was the slowest/longest line. Orion will probably keep a decent, fast moving line on slow days. So, you can make it quick, but you can also knock out everything at a fairly casual pace.
  10. Wonder if they will have all the parts and pieces back together for opening day in a couple weeks. Sounding like it might be a no show on opening day.
  11. 2020 passes with free FL+ went on sale ~Aug 15th of last year if that helps plan.
  12. Decent. Track is either done or just missing a couple pieces.
  13. FYI: Orlando/Tampa to Knoxville is often under $100 roundtrip on Allegiant.
  14. What if laws were on the books that they couldn't exceed certain levels and then they did? What if that was starting to decrease your property value? Even if the homeowner didn't care about the noise, I bet they care about their home value.
  15. They will most likely have a $120 parking+admission+fl+all day dining up and running much of the season. I doubt you're really saving $100 if you wanted to visit in the fall. But, the current deal is great if you want to visit before the cutoff. Heck, pick up one for Kings Island and cut out your second day in Pigeon Forge. But, late summer can be slow at Dollywood. Show up during the week and the park is all yours some days. Same for Carowinds. Look at the queue-times for those weeks last year.
  16. I like rumors. It's being suggested current survey markers everywhere line up with Jersey Devil. Several sections are exact or very close.
  17. I did a Sat/Sun middle in Nov. Sat was busy, lots of buses already there before it opened. Sunday started slower and we got a bunch of rides in during the first few hours. Seemed like a membership got us in a few minutes early for a head start.
  18. If they finish the track in the next week or two, it's possible. They are already doing block testing, moving trains, etc. Need about 3 weeks of testing and it's good. Not saying it's going to happen, but I don't think it's a crazy idea, either.
  19. I'm guessing just some track work and a paint job. Hopefully it'll be done before May unlike Scorcher last year.
  20. Rumors are suggesting BG is targeting March 14 for opening Gwazi.
  21. It has to be that expensive. Should be more expensive some days in my opinion. Otherwise everyone would have it and it wouldn't do any good.
  22. Nice trip there with the kids. See you guys at coastermania.
  23. Can I just say how awful the Monster Jam themed wing coaster going around looks? That can't be real. (The theming that is. I believe the coaster is real.)
  24. Looks like they eliminated FL+ here for the 2020 season. Just one FL option now.
