  1. I did MM in Oct on a Sat. First visit. Ended with 38k+ on the Fitbit. Great workout. My buddy was worn out and he was several hours late.
  2. Last piece is going in right now.
  3. Coasterstock on sale Feb 3rd. Dates are 5/15-16. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/blog/2020/january/tickets-for-coasterstock-2020-go-on-sale-monday-exclusively-online
  4. My plan is to do media day and the first rider event. Probably stick around for passholder day, too.
  5. Are you sure about this date? Don hasn't posted anything on the website that I could find. I know it happens around this time every year. I hope you're right... They mentioned the date at No Coaster Con a week or two ago.
  6. Coasterstock is May 15 and 16. Can't help with on-sale date.
  7. We've got a Moser's model around here. How does that compare to the original Huss models?
  8. Vortex's station was bulldozed yesterday. RIP.
  9. I'm going with Reese's, Twizzlers, and Kisses. The transition graphics have these icons and the hershey chocolate track. They also appear on the end on the logo. There's no Almond Joys or Mounds to be seen. The blue is the iconic writing on the tab.
  10. Unlimited was $50 last year. Most week days first half of June were dead this year. No timesaver needed. Just how fast can you walk around. Absolute worst case $50 and you can ride as much as you want. You'll pretty much have a walk on everywhere. If it is crowded it's because of schools and band trips. None of the get them TimeSaver. So $50 makes it a walk on day for you.
  11. Current Plans - KI Media Day? Busch Gardens/KD/SFA trip late April Ohio State and Opening Day at Cedar Point The week leading up to HoliWood Nights: SFGAmerica, WOF, SDC, SFSTL Mid-July: SFNE, Lake Compounce, Luna Nov: SFMM, Knotts, SWSD Dec: BGT, Fun Spots Carowinds for ACE event. Kings Island some random weekend. SFoG a couple times since I'm down there a bunch.
  12. I foresee a couple midweek trips down there next winter to ride the crap out of IG. Flights down to Orlando and Tampa have been dirt cheap this year. Can't wait for it to open. This year will be my first trips down to that area.
  13. The passholder preview page was found earlier this week. It's 3/20 and grand opening is 3/21. Open for Spring Break week of April 6.
  14. That hotel price is crazy. The Comfort Inn may be closer to the gates. If not, it's very close. Save yourself some money. You're going to be at the park all day. You just need a bed and bathroom for a few hours each day. Comfort Inn has some food and an waffle maker in the morning, too. The Comfort Inn is also closest and easiest to the interstate as well.
  15. The Express hotel was one of the cheapest options when I went last year. You can walk to the Pony, McDs and the other fast food joint. It's at the entrance of the causeway to the park. Hotel was fine and had nice pictures of coasters on the wall. I was only in the room from 12:30am to 8:00am for sleep and a shower. But really, just book some refundable rooms and keep checking for better rates as the spring and summer go. Expedia and Travelocity and Orbitz often do mobile only 15% off bookings. I got Express through one of those last year. Comfort Suites or Comfort Inns are usually good budget hotels with a decent breakfast room. Those near KI are good. They typically do bonus points that can really add up during Spring and summer.
  16. It's where you buy it from, not where you pick it up.
  17. I will often take Bonine the night before at bed. Then I'll take one the next morning. I'm usually fine after that.
  18. That is nuts. I thought they would be busy today, but that sounds crazy. So glad I decided to hit SFoG instead of Dollywood today. Had a great day down there today.
  19. That is some work going on! Holy cow.
  20. I haven't been able to figure out their changes on the LR line. It was fine earlier this season. Now some poor grouper is trying to assign seats on the 2nd floor. Then they have to constantly run upstairs because most don't go to their assigned rows. So much time and energy wasted and looks like a pain the ass for the grouper to keep going up and down. And it doesn't seem to really solve anything.
  21. Lots of euro parks list the rides will be closed for winter but they don't hesitate to open them for nice weather and crowds. Seems strange they don't have more on standby. I've now been to SFoG three times since late Nov. I would have rather done Carowinds and/or Kings Island for one or two of those but I like coasters. All are 3-4 hours away. Going back to SFoG tomorrow for coasters and 60 degree weather. Then again, if it's busy then maybe don't need to open them. Folks are still there.
  22. $35 (or season) fast pass sounds like a good deal on that type of night. Well played. Good write up. If all/most of the coasters were open I would have made the 7 hour drive to visit the park and friends in the area.
