  1. Looks like I'll be able to check it out on Oct 18. Looking forward to it. Probably go ahead and get a new season pass with the Halloween design.
  2. I'm going with YES since it says you can when buying. "Pass card must be picked up at Six Flags Over Georgia or Six Flags White Water..."
  3. That deal was a few weeks ago for new season pass holders. There were a couple weeks you got a free one with purchase.
  4. Goliath, Twisted Cyclone, and Superman don't allow loose articles except drink bottles. Saturday is a members day event as well. If you are a member you can get in at 8:30 to ride Scorcher, Goliath, and DDD until park opens at 10. I would imagine it will be fairly dead. Mornings there are slow. Protip: They rarely ever make you walk around if there are empty seats. You ride Goliath a bunch early in the day without leaving the station a lot of the time.
  5. Had good time this weekend at Carowinds. It was blazing hot but we've gotten used to that at this point. Got an hour of ERT after closing on Fury. We'd stop in the station for 15-20 seconds to reset restraints and swap seats if anyone wanted to move around. Then you'd roll to the bottom of the lift and wait for the train in front to cross the mcb. Had a blast. Got to marathon a bit this morning before leaving town as well. Even at noon there were no lines and we were able to sit on Fury and Intimidator as long as we wanted. Lots of Scarowinds stuff all around. I've never done any Halloween events at a park so we enjoyed seeing all the props and scenes. Made me want to return, but I think we are doing Kings Island instead since we just visited this weekend for the event.
  6. They typically open the park 30 minutes before posted time. They usually have Twisted Cyclone going at that time. YOu can normally get a few in before posted opening time and the rope drop. Then hit Scorcher first on your way to DDD. Both of those can get a line because they are slow dispatches. Be early and you'll have no problems getting in plenty of rides. I think I've ridden TC 20 times this year. All but one of those were during this early 30 minute period on various visits. Single rider line works great on Goliath. At the top of the stairs just go all the way to the front and there's a spot to stand. If it's dead, they rarely make you walk around on any of their rides, so just keep riding or move seats if someone is waiting.
  7. Sunday crowds are typically very light. If you are there before the gates open, you can knock out all the coasters in a couple hours with no lines. Might start getting busy around 1 or 2 but it's also likely to stay dead. Do Twisted Cyclone first. Hit Daredevil. Sit on Goliath for a couple laps since no one will be in line waiting. I usually wait for row 1, then sit on whatever is open when we get back to the station. Knock out Superman, Scream Machine, Blue Hawk. Then get Batman and Mindbender. Kiddie coaster and mine train will round it out. Acrophobia is pretty good. Do Monster Mansion. Good dark ride.
  8. They started. Pics on their blog or twitter.
  9. The most recent track I'm looking at (released at noon eastern) shows it off the coast of Florida on Monday, with the potential track area barely in Georgia. I think you should be fine. Depending on how much lead time you need to adjust plans, keep up-to-date and be ready to adjust up to your deadline. If you're willing to drive to Dollywood on Sunday, why don't you instead swap SFOG and Carowinds (SFOG on Saturday, Carowinds on Sunday)? I like this idea, as carowinds will probably be less likely impacted on Sunday. Guess I’ll cancel my hotels and see what the model is predicting when we take off Friday! Are you talking about Carowinds on 9-7 or 9-8? It might interest you there's an ACE event on the 7th with ERT and behind the scene tours on CS and Fury.
  10. Plenty of Dollywood billboards this year in Cincinnati. They spend some good money there for sure. They also have a bunch in Atlanta. My guess is Time Traveler or a B&M will be announced mid summer to open 2021.
  11. 4D is my guess. Not excited about it. I'll buy the season flash pass if they say Raptor. That ride would bring people to the park and make it a destination for a couple years.
  12. No. Everyone can get in 30 min early. Everyone can ride TC if they have it running early (and they usually do).
  13. I can give you my thoughts. I've been a good amount this year. If you are at the front gates 30 minutes before they open, you'll be able to knock out all the credits by noon or 1:00pm. Twisted opens 30 min before listed opening most days. Ride it a few times before rope drop. Then just knock everything out one by one. At rope drop, Scorcher will be a walkon. Dare Devil Dive will be next and a near walk on. Then grab Mindbender and Batman. You wont have any lines. Head back to Superman next. You might have to wait a 20 minutes or so depending on when you get there. Then GASMachine, Blue Hawk, skybuckets over next to the mine train and grab it. Then, knock out Goliath. That's optimal but prob not even necessary. If it's anything like Memorial day weekend, the park will be dead in the mornings. We were surprised how long it took people to show up that weekend. Yesterday was free military day at SFOG. Active and up to 3 guests were free to get in. 45 minutes after the rope drop I was sitting on Goliath taking re-rides without leaving the station. It was dead until 1 or 2 pm. Heavy church areas. Sundays are usually light for much of the day. The bad news is food ops were terrible yesterday. Chicken wing place wasn't even open at noon. JB Sports Grill wasn't open at 12:30pm. Understaffed and not opening on time or very delayed.
  14. It's a good ride. I rarely ride it cause of the line but I think it's a good "now and again" coaster. I still can't believe they put in a 1 train family coaster, though. The longest coaster line most days is the other family coaster. If you are going for a whole new family / kid section why do you put in a single train coaster as the premier ride in that attraction? Seems odd.
  15. I don't have one myself. I saw one or two pics on FB. It's a metal piece that covers about half the headrest on the back side. It appears the accident might have happened while getting in and out from the looks of the piece. Maybe she got a big slash or something while grabbing hold to enter or exit. That is complete speculation there and just a guess.
  16. They put a new piece behind the headrest and got CS back up and running this afternoon. Good news.
  17. tbh, I didn't either. I'm just hoping the 4D free spin rumors aren't true.
  18. Is this true? I'm in california at Great America, current platinum passholder and considering doing all park season FL. Could I purchase a new platinum pass via CW with all park FL and activate it at Great America? Also, does anyone know if the all park FL is FL+? Click on the link at CW. Click Paypal. It will show you the conversion. Was ~$750USD through Paypal last week when I checked.
  19. Anyone got news on Copperhead Strike? Heard there was injury and it's been down since Sunday.
  20. Cedar Fair doesn't like to close their parks. It'll be open unless it's pretty bad.
  21. Agreed. Been running fairly well this year. It was really hot last week in this area. We were scheduled to take my wife's brother but held off for another weekend. He's never been and LR hadn't run for a few days. Rollbacks on LR...that doesn't happen every day. I'm jealous. And an evac later on? What a day!
