There's been a few Sunday mornings this year where I got all the coasters in and a couple extra on Goliath in roughly 2 hours. People are usually late arriving here. They don't care if you stay on or move to a different seat if it isn't crowded.

We've had a few bears in Gatlinburg this year. Some have entered stores. Can't imagine seeing a bear waltzing through the front door of a souvenir shop while I'm looking around. Had one in Knoxville this Spring, too.

I think you caught a bad employee. We literally purchased a Plat pass from Canada's Wonderland website last week. Gave my brother the barcode. We all went to Kings Island this weekend. He took it to the window at King's Island and they took his picture and handed him a card. Took a minute or two. Also, if they let you into the park some, I've seen the giftshop right inside selling FL+ before early entry rope drop down at the Magnum gate.

I never thought I'd do it. But what the heck. Pulling the cord and that free fall until the slack is gone is pretty darn cool.

RE: Slingshot and Skycoaster - They do adjust pricing. It was $10 Sat morning, $5 Sun morning. Slingshot $15, $10. Seems like later in the day they removed the special pricing. Not sure if they lower it again late night. KI is the only park I've noticed this summer that does this regularly.

Did the Skycoaster at Kings Island this weekend. It was $5. With pass discount, less than $5 after tax. First time. Loved it. Park was busy Saturday. We had great visit. Got another couple hours in Sunday before hitting Stricker's. Enjoyed the Halloween atmosphere and the mazes. For awhile the lines everywhere were sizable. FLs were great on this day.

Very crowded. Think they set a record last week.

Welcome to Dollywood. Lots of days the lot will be fairly full. Park paths will be fairly crowded and slow moving. But, the coasters will still be minimal waits unless it's named Dragonflier or Firechaser. Other exception would be a one train LR. This is true most of the time except end of the school year with all the band trips. On those days the kids will be on the coasters.

Z-Force....I had a few laps on that crazy thing. I still like riding GASM. I only ride near the front now. I like row 3.

You sure they sell FL during Winterfest?

Columbus day. Seems a lot of parks open that day.

I enjoy both brands and have pro and cons for both. I suspect, as consumers, we would miss the competition the most. Competition is needed to keep things moving, keep pricing in check, and give us choices.

That's the bottom of the first drop.

I can't imagine any of that would be good for the consumer.

I think I'm going to plan to stay at Breakers for a few weekdays leading up to Holiday Nights. Gives me a good excuse to go back the next weekend for Coastermania as well. Should be prime time to ride.

Nice update on Scarowinds. How were the ride lines at night? And what were wait times on mazes without fast pass? From pics I saw the park looked crowded for sure.

Yes. Proceed to the turnstile. They will scan your paper (or app) and give you a physical card. They just scan the card and hand it over to you. Good to go. Any of them can do it. No need to waste time at the windows/customer service/etc.

There's at least 1 vlog on youtube from Scarowinds last weekend. From pics I saw it was pretty crowded. Huge crowd was forming 30-60 minutes before gates opened at 7.

GASM breaks my back if I'm in the back half of the train. Last couple times I've done row 3 or 4 and it's been pretty good. No real pain afterwards. Just my experience last few weeks.

Queue-times works

I'm in LA end of Oct. We've been joking around all summer that WCR wont be open. It's not so funny the last couple of weeks now. Not sure when I'll be back and wanted to at least get the credit.

My bad. I thought they had the free FL for that first weekend like the others on new purchases.
