I'll probably call the park tomorrow but maybe someone knows... If I bring a friend next weekend and use the coupon for passholders, can we enter at 9:00? Good enough if I have a pass? Can't imagine they are that tight about it.

We made our first visit to KD on Monday. I've wanted to visit since I was a kid. This was the 4th and last day of a long weekend trip. There were very few people in the park. Racer was fun and was an amazing view of Intimidator and the park. Really liked it. Grizzly was a bit rough but I liked it. Good night ride. Intimidator was really fun. Rode it for 45 minutes without leaving the station at dusk. Could have sat on it all night; crew didn't care and most trains were half empty. Twisted Timbers - Nice area. Looks beautiful. Loved the ride. Sat on back row green for the last 40 minutes they were open. Really enjoyed it. Had a couple hours delay with a storm. Finally got things back up and running around 730. Anaconda was the last credit we needed. The crew was having fun and joking around. They were having folks do shout outs on the station mic and having a good time. Top of the lift they stopped our train. Asked who had their phone out. Had us put our hands up. Put them down. No seriously, who has the phone. Then they were laughing and said they were sending it. The crew was amusing themselves. First time I've really been able to just stay in my seat or move around at will between rides. Loved it. All in all, had a great time. I'll be back for sure.

For the last 3 or 4 months on Facebook they keep suggesting it'll open soon. I heard someone saw workers on it recently.

Quick update: those 2020 rain tickets work just fine. We are a few ppl back in line at Steel Curtain right now. Day 2 at Kennywood us going to be good. I can feel it.

It was a beautiful night in Pitt this evening. Would have been great to be at the park. Oh well. Just really disappointing. Seems crazy they shut down at 615 but not my park or call. Got rain tix then hung out with old friends. We are going to swing by and get our missing credits and a few flats tomorrow before heading downtown for the game. Hershey on Sunday.

Steel Curtain is fun. Phantom is fun. Kennywood as a whole seems like a dump. Edit: it's been a tough day. Long drive, crappy ops, crowded, line jumpers, idiots being especially idiotatic, and then shutting down when rain showed up. Skies were beautiful by 7pm Win some, lose some. Maybe tomorrow.

Looks like they are changing to membership models for 2020. Anyone else know more?

I want to like Nighthawk but it's just not comfortable for me. I'll still ride it once every visit, but that's typically it. I like B&Ms take on these much better.

Website has the coaster tour tickets and a Steel Curtain skip pass. Both have to be purchase 48 hours ahead. Are these available in the park? Same price? $50/$20?

What the story on Fast Track this year? Looks like the merge points aren't all at the stations and it might not be that good here. Visiting on Sunday and prob wont spring for it, but it's good have the info. Thanks.

Ricochet is good stuff. Skipped it first trip. Rode it today and we had a blast on it. Can't wait to find more like it in the future. Ended the night with 6 or 7 rides on Fury. Last one was front row with a girl just tall enough to ride for the first time. She wasn't talking as we loaded and went up the hill. Bottom of the first hill I peeked over and she raised her hands. Kept them up the rest of the way. Her parents and I loved it.

Thanks for the video. That's the part I wanted to do. However, we ultimately decided not to attend this year.

2nd trip of the year to Carowinds on Saturday. Wife's brother is joining us which means I'm free to ride as much as I want. FL+ from prez day.

I was at SFOG over the 4th weekend a couple times. Oddly enough, walking over to Superman we passed by a maint. guy driving in the Splashwater Falls area. He parked next to the station, got out of his truck and went over to the lift hill. Started looking at the electronics. Seemed a bit weird. Probably pulling parts for something else?

As I kid I loved that section of Dollywood. Flooded Mine and Blazing Fury next to each other was the place to be. Great video there. Brought back lots of memories. On Blazing Fury I love that they added a little nod to the old Flooded Mine years ago. You can see one of the miners trying to escape off to the right near the beginning.

Can you buy multiple $7 vip line passes? I might not have a ton of time and paying $7 a few times to skip ahead might be helpful.

Breakers Express is a 3 minute drive from the CP parking lot. Not 4* nice but very adequate. So, if you want to save a few bucks over Breakers and still get early entry, that is another option. No trams or shuttles unfortunately. I did my first trip in 20+ years earlier this summer. It's a bit larger than I was expecting. You'll do some walking. Showed 100% chance of rain one of the days. Rained for an hour around 11. That was probably the best day I had out of the 4. Crowd was light. I rode MF about 6 times in the rain with the exit gate open before they ultimately closed it for a bit due to the storm. Then it never rained again. So, don't get discouraged by the weather reports leading up to your trip.

Nice info. I'm hoping to take advantage of the preview night in early August when I visit.
