Normal one is a lanyard with 10 hole punches (2 of which are orange and can be used for LR or Drop Line). The Unlimited is a lanyard with a date written on it. No punch holes. Unlimited. Been plenty of times this year and seen them in action.

I'm doing KI on Saturday and KK on Sunday this weekend. Last visit to KI was 1993. Never been to KK. Looking forward to it. 4.5 hours to KI from here.

This morning they roped off the section just past Scorcher. So they had Twisted Cyclone and Scorcher going before official opening. We walked on all coasters and then headed out. Great way to spend the morning.

Scorcher back up and running today. My first time on it. Smooth ride as advertised. Good stuff. Knocked out most of the coasters before heading down to 420Fest for music this afternoon. Great day to visit for a couple hours. 40-50 degrees, threat of rain made it empty. When we left at 12:40 this still hadn't opened the main parking lot. Even more amazing...2 trains running on Superman.

They have a coaster event in July if you really want to do something different. Thrills in the Hills. Think I might try it this year.

If you buy the unlimited pass you can ride LR all day long. If it's running 2 trains, your longest wait will be a couple cycles. Wild Eagle might be a 5-10 wait. It enters the station a bit earlier than others. The others will be walk ons or < 5 min for the most part with a pass. Park may be packed but a higher percentage are there for shows and just to be outside versus other parks. If you haven't been on Thunderhead and like classic woodies, I bet you'll find yourself shuffling between it and LR. During the week in early Oct you might not even need the fast pass. But it's there if you really want to marathon it.

Got an email from the park today announcing a May 11th opening for Wildwood.

Agreed. I'm there Sun - Tues that week. Next year I'll plan better and prob hit up the event. Wish it wasn't sold out this year.

Do we expect all coasters running that first weekend? I'm at Kings Island on the 27th most likely and thinking about swinging by KK on my way home on the 28th. Never been before. Appears that is the first day for GP?

I think they are far more likely to raise the prices. If FL lines are really backing up, they probably aren't charging enough.

I'd say odds are I'll hop in one when I visit the park. Don't have the opportunity to sit in a monster truck too often. If I was only there 1 day I'd skip it for sure.

Was in Sevierville today and had a couple extra hours. Got 4xLR,TT, 2xWE, Thunderhead, FC, and MM and was back in my car in under 2 hrs. Wildwood Grove April 11 April 11 Good day for a few quick rides on Lightning Rod

Looks like I'm in the minority. I wouldn't mind the B&M Hyper wrapped around park of the park. All sound great and I'm for anything new.

Do you guys like Wild Eagle? Not a ton of difference with that and a suspended coaster. Feet are dangling on both with nothing under you. Give it a go. Afterburn is a good one. Woodstock Express is a great little kids coaster. I rode it last visit for sure. I love Thunderhead like you. Hurler is ok. Seems most of the hate is the trim break that was installed later on. Try Intimidator next time. After you conquer that, Fury is just the big boy version. Same seats, same type of coaster, just a little more speed and height.

Mindbender seemed a bit different today. It barely made it up the lift hill and came to an almost complete stop. The second half seemed way more rowdy and I was being thrown against my buddy on some of the turns. It was pretty wild. First trip on GASM this year. Not an every trip ride for me but good on occasion. First ride on Acrophobia. That's a pretty cool ride and better than the Dollywood and Carowinds drop towers. Crowded at the park. Hour+ wait on everything after 2-ish it seemed. Glad we got there early. Finally waited for a front row seat on Goliath. Enjoyed that. Usually just take whatever is open.

Opens May 10. Early Season Pass holders have a preview May 9th.

I will second the parking lot comments. We rolled up about 8:45 last week and they didn't open gates til 9:45. We were about 10 cars from the front. It was a LONG line behind us when they opened gates. I was surprised it wasn't causing a problem on the main road. Fastlane Plus can be huge if it's crowded. Fury was an hour wait and I did 4 rides in about 20 minutes as the park was closing. My last ride on CS was a 15 minute wait and the kids sitting around me had waited 3 hours. I had 3 walkons in a row on Intimidator with a 60 mine line. Copperhead will be prob be down much of the day. Go there first. Then use the app/queue websites to see when it's back up during the day and proceed quickly when you see Operational or a wait time.

Queue websites indicate Mystery Mine is running right now with a 60 min wait. Nice.

Had a blast at the park today. Got 3 rides of CS. Enjoyed it. Nice little ride. A few good hills and the slower loops are fun. I haven't been here in 20 years. Enjoyed being back and the new coasters. Fury is fun, especially front row. Fast Pass is fun, too. Nighthawk just seemed uncomfortable to me. Gave it a couple tries but just didn't like it. Afterburn was fun. We'll be back end of summer for another fun day. Wish CS had been up more. About 8pm I got on CS after a 10-15 min fast pass wait. The kids I was riding with had been waiting 3 hours to get on. They loved the ride.

Ride queue are showing 60+ wait for Lightning Rod today. I was hoping some random March Wednesday might be dead. Light work day here and would be great to slip out and enjoy the sun on LR.

I had a great day at Dollywood. Lightning Rod was running 2 trains most of the day. It went down for about 15 minutes while I was in line later in the day, but came back up with both trains. Loved Lightning Rod and it lived up to the hype. Thunderhead surprised me. Loved that ride. Ride lines weren't too bad except for LR and Firechaser. Other coasters were 5-20 minutes for the most part. Pretty cool seeing them run multiple trains on Firechaser. Mystery Mine closed for the day. Didn't sound like it was going to open tomorrow either. They were running sandbags on Dragonflier today as well. Cool seeing that while riding Thunderhead.

I think I might visit Saturday and get a season pass. Always had season passes to SDC growing up. Went to Dollywood once in 95. Haven't been back since and I live near Knoxville. Hopefully I can knock out most of the coasters early and sneak out before it gets too bad. I also hope sneaking over there early morning for a few rides becomes a summer habit.
