I felt like the rehab they did on it before last year's Haunt made it notably smoother. I actually had some of my best rides on it at the end of last year.

Any word on how long Colossus will be closed while they switch back to the forward/Morgan trains?

Let's keep dreaming... On Colossus, I'm not really sure what I'd prefer if RMC were to give it a makeover. The combination of the tracks for some reason doesn't strike me as a very likely option give MM's track record, but you never know. Same goes for leaving 1/2 of it the 'classic' wooden layout -- though this would align more with their habit of cutting costs & corners. I guess if I could hope for anything, it would be for Colossus to become a 1-track coaster and reprofiled similar to NTAG/IRat.

Personally, I've had some of my best rides on GR even in the past year. I've also had some of the worst. Other than seat selection, it seems to just be luck whether ol' Ghostie thrills or kills.

^ Nice photos thrillseeker. I had been hoping someone would post pictures of the new paint as I haven't been able to go to the park myself in a few weeks. I was actually wondering, do you think the lack of repainting the Xcelerator track might be because of the extra difficulty of getting the insides of the box track? Does anyone know if other intamin box/triangle tracks have gotten repaints lately (MF, Storm Runner, TTD, KK)? Or maybe I'm just trying to justify Knott's being a little "lazy" on this...

Just some more speculation, but how do you think the new Wing Coaster type restraints on Banshee will affect the floatiness achieved in the zero-g roll? That is usually my favorite part of riding any invert, and it looks like it will pretty much be eliminated by how securely these restraints are designed to keep you in your seat. Thoughts?

Favorite wood: Gold Striker for the generous amounts of GCI airtime and consistent speed throughout. Favorite steel: A tie between two X's - X2 and Xcelerator. X2 for being able to scare the pants off me on the first drop, no matter how many times I ride it Xcelerator for the ejector airtime over the top hat after a launch that never fails to put a smile on my face. Honorable mention: Desperado, for the scary airtime and because I'm a bit of a masochist.
