  3. ^ They both ( ^^ and ^^^) posted at the same time.
  4. Here I am hanging on for dear life on the brutally paintful GhostRider, back in August. It is running much better these days after its Haunt refurb.
  5. Honestly, with how good it's been running lately I'm going to say GhostRider. I know a lot of you will be skeptical about this, but if you can make it out to KBF and get on the newly-refurbed silver train, ol' Ghosty feels like it did in 2002.
  6. With Silver Bullet as my home (and most ridden) invert, I'm pretty certain this will be more intense. Can't wait for next summer!
  7. Usually I tend to laugh or whoop if it's a coaster I've ridden before. If it's my first time on a ride, "Whoa!" will get mixed in there a few times. If it's the pretzel roll on Tatsu, it's mostly expletives.
  8. Small update. Here is all that remains of Windseeker's tower, as of today. I made a quick stop by the park after the rain cleared around 5pm today. Ghostrider was running exceptionally well for my ride in the newly-refurbed silver train (even in a wheel seat). It was honestly the smoothest ride I've had on it in probably a decade. Not sure what the details were of KBF's pre-Haunt maintenance to this thing this year -- but it seems to be working! Other than that, the park was mostly dead because of the rain earlier in the day. A few quick laps on Xcelerator which was running 2 trains, and the same on Sierra Sidewinder. Now, back to Camp Snoopy speculation.
  9. Wow this thing is really taking shape quickly. Can't wait to see it running (and take a few laps next summer on the Mini New Hotness tour)! Really excited to see the new B&M invert trains arrive in the next few months though.
  10. Check in the mail for Mini New Hotness! Can't wait!
  11. No, not really.... Just an older gentleman twerking up on stage but that's about it! Also confirmed that Band M will be their next attraction!
  12. +1. The park and staff were great all day, and props to Jake for making the AWESOME sign for us at Monte ERT.
  13. Thank you so much to Robb and all you awesome folks here at TPR for organizing the event this year. One of the best weekends I can remember. Jeff and the folks at Knott's really put on a great show for us, and all the Xcelerator ERT was icing on the cake. For my first TPR Event, I don't think it could have been any better.
  14. I would agree, but if the rumored "Iron Colossus" makeover is true and that is their next major project, that wouldn't give SFMM another coaster since the old Colossus would be out of commission. Still stuck at 19. And I seriously doubt they'd want to bring in RMC for a brand new coaster without touching Colossus. Just my $0.02
  15. 2000: Goliath @ SFMM 2013: Gold Striker & Full Throttle (tomorrow) Home park: everything at Knott's/DLR since 2000
  16. I think it had to be Matterhorn @ DL circa 1995. I'm 23.
  17. Not many other times in my life have I been so excited to get up at 5am. Pumped for a very long, but equally thrilling weekend with you all!
  18. If the ride is not subject to wear-and-tear in this mythical scenario, I would have go to with GhostRider as it existed in 1998-1999. Smooth woodie, great airtime, no trims on the mid-course, and a decent length. Runners-up would be: Gold Striker California Screamin' X2
  19. Yes, Yes, and Yes. However, as much as I hate to admit it, I think GhostRider is now the worst wooden coaster in CA. Grizzly was nearly as smooth as Gold Striker when I was at CGA a couple weekends ago.
  20. It had to be either Batman or Riddler's Revenge at SFMM, but it was over a decade ago so I don't remember which came first.
  21. 12 minutes from Knott's, 17 minutes from DLR, and about 1 hour from SFMM (from home).
  22. Gold Striker on Sunday evening. WOW!
