  1. It's a collaboration between Intamin & RMC
  2. Gold Striker is solid, but CGI airtime is very different from ejector or even B&M airtime, both of which CA is sorely lacking. An RMC will be holy.
  3. ^ If the second train doesn't show up, it just becomes an awesome turnaround element.
  4. Guys, I'm really not that worried about this thing dueling regularly. Would it be pretty cool? Yeah, of course. But even if you run through the whole course without another train next to you, the layout of this thing is awesome and will almost certainly be a top 20 coaster next year in the Hawker poll. We're getting a coaster with TWO 120+ foot 80 degree drops, boatloads of airtime, and a plethora of twisty goodness, and you're complaining it will suck if it isn't dueling consistently? I'm sure NTaG is pretty worthless then, since it doesn't even have that capability. C'mon man.
  5. My guess is nylon or poly wheels causing more friction. Will be nice when SFMM officially gives us the stat sheet and some more detailed renderings.
  6. Feel like RCDB may be getting the height & drop confused, as this thing isn't going underground or having a trench dug for it as you can clearly see in the renderings.
  7. ^^ In the past SFMM has been able to open rides up consistently before the end of May. Even Tatsu with the challenging terrain opened up on 5/13. Something like this, on flat land like Scream, should be able to get finished earlier than YOLOcoaster (6/22). ... One would hope.
  8. It seems like Six Flags has an exclusivity deal with RMC for their I-Box track for the foreseeable future, no?
  9. Wish we had as many renderings for this as they do for Wicked Cyclone. Anybody been scouring the web?
  10. For the first time in my life I will now be a Six Flags pass holder. Thanks RMC!
  11. Nope. Edit: Also, this train design concept looks pretty neat. The vents are a little steampunk. Double Edit: better picture
  12. The second track goes beneath the zero-g stall on this. For "keeping up foreign relations."
  13. Watch the video all the way through. They show multiple times the section where the train gets to the second lift and the track switches from blue to green. It goes around twice.
  14. That would be this year for me. So far with Cedar Point & New Hotness I've added 60. Weird that it's such a round number, but I more than doubled my count (which I think is the biggest jump I'll ever take). May add a handful more before the year is out with a trip to SWSD, or maybe SFDK.
  15. Wow this came up quick. Only 2 weeks away!
  16. With the work Knott's has done the past 2 years to bring it back, Can you elaborate on this? I'm genuinely curious to know what has been done. Around 2012 it seems like the park started taking GhostRider's rehab a lot more seriously, and instead of just rehabbing the trains they've also been gradually re-tracking the roughest parts of the ride by replacing the top 2-3 layers of the wood stack (as you can see here). As of now my estimation is that the ride is about 35-40% re-tracked, with fresh wood on what were previously some of the ride's worst parts.
  17. Did you not here? After they took Leviathan away from Knott's they designed Fury 325, but then Cedar Fair took it away from Knott's and sent it to Carowinds. All because they first had to relocate I305
