  1. ToT was my favorite...I think I have a new addiction. HAHA I have to say though, ToT in real life isn't as hard as the game because not all of these functions are run from the main control room.
  2. Did anyone else notice what appeared to be Mickey and Minnie statues in that one Pearl Land walkway photo?
  3. Its a hobby of mine while traveling to visit fast food places that we dont have around here. That's how I fell in love with Baker's (San Bernardino County, CA)...the spicy ketchup owns you!
  4. Dont laugh... The Cheetah Girls with Everlife - Feb 4, 2007 Honolulu, HI My next concert will be Thursday night (4/26)...we are going to see Tony Lucca at the House of Blues! Any Las Vegas area Mickey Mouse Club fans should come out and support, his new album is great and the concert is free!
  5. You had me dying with the "and now presenting things you dont see everyday". I've yet to visit Dollywood, but from the PTRs I see on here, there doesnt seem to many black visitors let alone workers.
  6. I worked a couple of grad nights during my college program. Granted I was out in the parking lot, so it was a different type of stress. Try directing 400 busses in the middle of a thunderstorm and torrential downpour after working a 10 hour shift!
  7. I like them...they really make me want to visit the park. Although, when you get to the park its a completely different story... its nothing like the commercial. They should have commercials that reflect the true nature of the park, ride ops on cell phones texting, $15 parking with crappy tram service, etc. AH...i miss the old SO BIG, SO FAST, SO CLOSE TO HOME ads
  8. I gotta get me one of those Mexican Donald plushes! Great photo report. If the line is any indication, then the rehab of El Rio worked. I dont think in all my visits to Epcot have I ever seen more than a 2 boat wait for that ride, even when it was raining outside. As for that boat, its for decoration...its supposed to represent something for the American Adventure. Just what, I forget, but I do remember hearing something about it during my WDW college program.
  9. Its all about Ninja for me. I love the fact you can't really see the entire ride at once, you have to walk around a bit to get the jist of the layout and even there there are still suprises. At night this ride is really great.
  10. Great update Jahan! I'm thrilled the park is turning around. I was there twice last year and I was second guessing my decision to even be at the park...its not like it used to be. BUT, things seem to be getting better...even with the *choke* $15 parking.
  11. In other words..."We won't descriminate against anyone who is willing to shell out $8000 minimum for a wedding ceremony."
  12. In the beginning there was HOUSE...and it was GOOD!
  13. Right now im really digging... The Feeling The Rapture Shiny Toy Guns Mutemath 30seconds to Mars AFI The Bird and the Bee And I still think im the biggest fan of the Basement Jaxx in Las Vegas.
  14. Launched I have ridden... Montezuma's Revenge - flywheel California Screamin' - LIM Rock n' Roller Coaster - LSM Speed: The Ride - LIM Superman: The Escape - LSM The most powerful out of those IMO remains to be Montezuma's Revenge. Classic brute force launch. I do have to say the second "boost" on Speed is one of my favorites as well. Maybe its just me, but the LSM launched ones seem to "feel" less powerful on the take off.
  15. So I work at Paris Las Vegas, which is right next door to the new Planet Hollywood Hotel...aka Aladdin. My boss took this picture the other day when we were walking back from lunch. I wonder if someone got fired over this one? Fully open inside? I bet it is...
  16. This is the first time that I can recall that this has happened with people on the ride so in that sense it is a big deal. Honestly, anything to do with an attraction malfunctioning is big news here in Vegas. We have had our share of them from Manhattan Express to the rides at the Stratosphere, they love to put those stories on tv to strike fear in the hearts of residents. HAHA
  17. Some new ones from the Disneyland Resort a couple of weeks ago... Fun in the sun! Getting a bit dramatic at the entrance of DCA. It was cheerleader weekend *cringe*.
  18. Nice report. I say this whole goodbye is bittersweet for me. Honestly, I'm over BTTF: The Ride. Its painful and too much of a hassle to ride. I mean you wait outside, then you have the first room with the video, then you walk down the hallway to the second room, then finally you get on. That's a lot of time. Granted, there was a time, around ages 10-14 that I couldn't get enough of it. Perhaps I was just a glutton for punishment. So will I miss it, definately...its a classic. But then again at the same time I welcome anything to replace it.
  19. You know, I have never seen a Cirque performance WITHOUT a standing ovation. It reminds me of that Kathy Griffin joke about Celine Dion being suprised EVERY night that people showed up...like they wouldn't?
  20. I like Danny and Oswald. I wanted them in the top 3 the first time, so hopefully they can pull it together for this time around. After watching some of the pre-race interviews on CBS.com I think I like Joe and Bill this time around too...and I couldnt stand them the first time. And amazingly enough, they actually look better this time around too.
  21. I think this was just a slow news day becuase people have been doing stupid things on trams for years! I used to work in Magic Kingdom parking at the TTC and you would occasionally get jumpers (on and off...like its a San Francisco Trolly or something), standers, etc. It comes with the nature of the vehicles. Granted that's why the trams are designed with the minimum leg room and low ceilings, to encourage people to sit forward. But when little Billy loses his Power Ranger or that stroller that was improperly stowed goes flying off while rounding a turn, common sense gets lost.
