What is your definition of dressing "gay"? I know lots of gay people who seem to have a hard time dressing properly. So I wouldn't confine bad style to all those not gay...that's not being fair to the "straights". Give them some credit, they try!

Yeah, especially with a metro station being only a short drive (in an electric "fat person" scooter) from the all you can eat "Justice League Feast." In all fairness, I'm sure there would be plenty of lean and athletic people out there who would be more than happy to have Metro around to "haul" themselves around the park. In speaking of those scooters...are the Metro stations as they are even ADA compliant. I remember just stairs, no ramps.

Six Flags 2007 Q1 Conference Call

I'm excited to see what this brings to SFMM. I miss the ninjas they had walking around the park last year! They have a lot of work on their hands to get Metro back up and running. Considering its 1970's technology that has sat unused for several years, it should bring its challenges. Just looking at the stations alone...its gonna be a long road. They didn't mention Flashback's removal this time around. Perhaps they are waiting till fall (after Hurricane Harbor's season is over). Do we think they would build a Tony Hawk ride either in this place or back where Psyclone was? Knott's is opening thier spinning coaster soon so perhaps they are planning on doing something different? I'd say Mark is doing a pretty good job so far. Granted it seems he's all over the place at times (Wiggles here, Thomas the Train here, Papa Johns, Coldstone, theming, etc). -
Rhianna has catchy songs despite it being Rhianna. She should learn to speak the language first. She slurs all her words together. Its so irritating!

Well I'm at work right now...so I suppose that's a yes. Do you want to watch me smack that?

While the challenges didn't seem to be particularly unique this time around, they had some new rules to contend with. Such as not being able to beg for money or sale any of thier possesions. Perhaps those hindered things.

Oooh...I like this game. My turn... I'm straight as Ricky Martin.

The WDW Disney College Program

Cars come in handy, but it depends. Once youve been down there for a month or so youll know how to work the system. I know people who had cars but chose to use the buses to save on gas except when they had a funky shift or needed to go elsewhere after work. It all depends on the routes. They always change. During my program routes seemed to change almost every month, but that was when Dynamic was running the service...I'm not sure about this new company they have. -

Oh aren't those the best? Especially when it's exactly 8 hours between shifts so that they don't have to give you double... I had that happen to me once. And then the bus schedule was fun... I had to get up about two hours before to even make it on time. If I had to be in by seven I had to be up no later than 5:30 (and even that was pushing it). These are the grips... other than that I loved my time down there. So much so that I'll be back doing the CP again this summer. I wouldn't put anything past the schedulers. They were good about preventing you from getting double time, but i worked in MK parking so occasionally they had no choice. I remember coming to work at 7a and getting in the Parking 5 van and them telling you forget your scheduled hours. 10 to 12 hour shifts were normal, 18 hour shifts happened if you tried. Honestly, for me once I worked 12 hours, I figured you might as well stay for an extra 6 since its double time past the 12 AND you've already used your whole day at work anyway. 18 hour shifts came in handy near the end of my program when I needed extra money to take home. As for overnights, the closest I ever came was a 8p-3a shift over New Years 2003 when working seasonal. That was wierd. -

Honestly that can happen in most positions. CPs are at the low end of the totem pole, so don't be suprised if you get drafted to work those late late shifts or my "favorite" the late late shift followed by the early early shift. -
That sounds similar to the many Arrows that have just a single brake run right before the station. I remember doing evac drills on the Canyon Blaster (Adventuredome). No one wanted to be on the train when we had to practice e-stops. You can see the track vibrate.

Laura Ingalls should add a filter to her Lazy River...it was looking a bit "brown". -
Brilliant photo report! Ok, so you proved your point, I take back what I said about there not being any black people at Dollywood...even if they were there for a special event.

That was hillarious, I had rewind it to see him say that again. "Teletubbies going to war!" The whole accent thing is rediculous. I noticed it the first time they ran the race, but this time it was worse. In a way its just plain insulting to the people of these countries. It reminds me of how Madonna can fade in and out of that fake british accent she has.

The lighting effect along the ceiling and walls of the station look awesome. Really adds a kinetic energy to the station...I like it better than the video screen we got in California. The station still seems bright like the old Disneyland version, which is a good thing IMO. I'm also digging the lighting on the rocket booster part of the trains (is that lighting or just glow in the dark paint?) Did anyone else notice the lighting effect when the train pulled in the station and stopped in the waiting area?
