Mkay, here goes. While I've got tons of coaster pics, sadly, they need to be scanned in order for me to post them. So, I'll give you all what I got. These were from Top Soil Island, south of the OBX (which has nothing on this place, BTW). Enjoy! First day at the beach on the canal behind our house. Surf, fishing pier, dunes, and virtually no one on the beach. According to my partner's family, this is how crowded this beach gets. Hope it stays that way... Sunset on the canal, overlooking the inlet where I go jetskiing in the mornings. Woo hoo!

Was just reading the news on Yahoo and Ms. Rosa Parks died today at 92 years old. She did a great service to the black community in America and will not be forgotten. Just thought I'd let you all know if you haven't heard (or read). http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051025/ap_on_re_us/obit_rosa_parks

Wow, Erik! Thanks for taking the time to post all of those pics. Leanne's hair on the TOT pic was probably my favorite part of the TR. I am thoroughly jealous of you all now.

The longest wait for a coaster was approx. 6 hrs for Volcano: the Blast Coaster at PKD when it was in its first week of opening. Insane? Yes. Very much worth it at the time. (Do remember, that it broke down LONG periods of time and only ran a train of 4 rows). Longest wait for a kid's ride was for One Fish Two Fish (or w/e it's called at IOA). The wait was about an hour. My cousin seemed to get a kick out of it! 8)

First off, congradulations! That is a sweet-ass cake you got there (pun intended). Glad you two had a good time in Orlando...I agree that Discovery Cove was absolutely phenomenal. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Of the two I have ridden, Medusa East and Kraken, Medusa takes the cake by a long shot. Get ready for a Medusa-lovers showdown...

Okay, I'm sooooo not letting this sweet thread die on us. Just ran into this beauty in a power point that my professor posted. I think it's absolutely amazing! BTW...I'll see if I can snag a picture of the painting (set of two) that I am doing for my visual analysis. They also are truly amazing and have never been shown publicy for almost 40 years. Holy Crap, that is the biggest onion volcano I've ever seen! Most places I've been to have stacked four rings together, at the most. Glad to see you all had fun and managed to avoid hurricane wrath.
