  1. ^I was just about to post the exact same experience not to mention the restrains are about 90% not safe...
  2. ^^Most theme park sky rides are that way; the cabins are never actually attached to the cable for loading purposes.
  3. ^^Yeah, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't just build a coaster with huge potential and then just not use it. It's been launching full speed since before it opened.
  4. Sorry, just curious...I have been going through as much of this thread as I can and I can't seem to find these photos where people are freaking out about the skyride. Does anyone have a link, please?
  5. ^Well, Intamin's been putting 3 car trains on their LSM coasters so the launches could be shorter. Plus, the layouts are more compact.
  6. As far as wheels go, it also matters what the park actually has available, especially as they start to fail and need to be replaced. They are never consistently the same. And BOY, do those trains look sexxxyyyyyyy!
  7. ^I agree on Blue Streak. It's such an overlooked ride, but it's so fun! I still think Mean Streak is good for a ride though. It will probably kill a few brain cells, but it's still fun in certain respects. I personally think all of the coasters at CP are totally worth a ride. Some coasters less than others, but if you are able, get all the credits in the park. They're all worth it.
  8. Mine loaded in less than 1 second in firefox. Dunno if my experience really helps...
  9. I kind of agree. Even with the CP discount it was kind of overrated...it even got old after a few times. Sometimes the Dragster crew would get some Taco Fish and then go eat at Coldstone in the grass
  10. Have you ever thought about how uncomfortable testicles really are? -Colin Mochrie
  11. ^^I think we've established way too many times that the seats are stationary
  12. I have a question regarding this subject as well. If I join for say a single park just to hang out with TPR, would I be able to be included in the ERT sessions? Or would that only be for people on the entire trip?
  13. ^I will agree that a ride on Chaos is nothing to pass up, but the one at Cedar Point was kind of a piece...it was down all the time due to hydraulic problems and the mechanics never really knew how to fix it. Not to mention the employees weren't too fond of the restraints
  14. Is the red dot a reference point for surveying equipment?
  15. Thin shoulder straps FTW! Now if only Intamin would fix the thigh crushing bar....
  16. Another thing to consider is the rides actual interval time (the time you're supposed to dispatch trains in) and the time it takes to actually load said trains. Some rides have a longer interval and therefore are easier to reach "theoretical" capacity, whereas rides with a load time around 30 seconds are quite difficult. This also depends on whether or not trains are completely filled and whether or not the ride ops care about their job. Single rider lines do help with loading trains completely quite a bit, so that does give quite an advantage.
  17. I wonder if this means they'll be resurrecting the gold train for another season
  18. ^Probably not. You'll be getting ert anyway so what's an extra hour in the morning? There are plenty of decent hotels in Sandusky. You could probably even find one downtown, it's really not that far at all from the park. 10 minute drive tops.
  19. ^Yeah. For some reason to me this seems like a totally different concept than X and Furius Baco. It's more like flying on the wings of an airplane or bird or something, rather than flipping around (X) or launching out simply without track below or above you (FB). And I bet the restraints will be 28937530895x better
  20. I like how B&M made the trains so the seats are literally right next to the track, as opposed to Intamin, where on FB they are above the tracks a little bit. Can't wait to see this thing in action!
  21. I really should buy one of these... Robb, I think it's great how in your videos a lot more is featured than just a park's large coasters. It really shows what a park actually needs to be great! Thanks!
  22. ^Definitely! And this is during testing in cold weather, I bet it's going to haul a$$ through the course. Maybe even better with a train full of acers
