  1. Excited to see this ride testing. I've always thought it was neat that a place like this could survive just down the street from KBF. I wish LA County had something similar to find that balance between SFMM and USH.
  2. That was a pretty crazy last 5 minutes of officiating... But aside from the WTF calls or non calls that both teams benefited from...it was a good game. I think Kentucky choked because they finally matched up with a team that could outwork them and their superior talent level couldn't offset that.
  3. I don't know, but, and it's not nearly as bad as Apocalypse, but I noticed over the weekend that Gold Striker at CGA looks considerably more faded and dreary than it did at the end of last season. I dont know how much lack of rain can affect the color of wood if at all. The type of wood and how it was treated also plays a role in that. Yeah I forgot to mention that too. Apocalypse and Gold Striker are both GCI and I believe use the same wood. Ghost Rider is a CCI..it might be using a different type of wood. I'd be surprised if CCI was using better materials than GCI, but then again I don't know for sure that this color change is necessarily a sign of "lesser" wood. Less appealing to the eye maybe, but it probably would still be just as sound. Boy we really are geeks for even thinking about this aren't we? The color change would be related to what the wood is treated with.
  4. Think about it for a second: If you were to go backwards without proper support for your neck/back, going backwards would be quite painful. It would essentially feel like you were being chopped in half with all that force on your upper body and only the seat at your lower half.
  5. It's still spring break for many schools...it will be crowded this week and next.
  6. Those rooms are too nice to leave unsold...Disney would be stupid to leave them empty and not at least try to test the market selling those to everyone.
  7. Some of the ones I remember were the food transforming things, the jungle book wind up toys, the halloween buckets, and hot wheels. The best that I still have on my desk at my parents house are the Tiny Toon, Space Jam, and Mario Brothers ones.
  8. It's been 10 years since I have been on the ride, and it was REALLY fun back then...Timberliners seem like a great way to keep the ride fresh!

  10. I think that's just the nature of the two businesses. Nobody goes through life without having an issue with their cable companies. On the flip side, almost everyone goes through life wanting to visit a major theme park like Universal or Disney!
  11. ^Water rides are actually pretty efficient. They filter/recycle the same water once they are filled. Let's also remember this is the SFMM thread and not the water conservation thread.
  12. This statement still holds true. Except now they are trying to lose.
  13. I agree. That's exactly my thoughts on Potter. I know nothing about the IP, but the area still looks amazing.
  14. I've had uverse and been happy with it so far.
  15. I'm rooting for Kentucky to lose!
  16. I've been loyal to Delta, but with the changes to the Medallion program I might have to re-think that when I start traveling a lot again!
  17. Well, in the case of USH...The Simpsons construction is WAY more exciting than WWoHP since we've seen that all before. So I had no reason to post any other pictures. Also, the Taco Truck is now open! Very sweet marinade on the Carnitas.
  18. I imagine they took that into account and it's not a problem.
  19. When the wait isn't 2-3 hours to get in... That blows my mind. Unless they are pouring super rare liquor as the house liquor at house prices...people are just insane!
  20. RickRolling gets a slow clap from me. That's so 5 years ago.
  21. Fairs and Carnivals are essentially temporary amusement parks. However, I still would never call them an amusement park. It's two completely different operations, generally lower quality facilities, lower quality employees, etc.
  22. It's hard to find people who care when you pay so little with no benefits. The good ones move up to management level (or move on to other parks) fairly quickly, but there isn't nearly enough good ones to go around.
  23. ^Didn't Boulderbash practically get rebuilt a few years ago in order to get back to its opening day form?
