  1. Annual Passholders don't really treat the park as a theme park. It's a social gathering/people watching place for a lot of people. There were plenty of times when I still had a pass that Dan and myself never rode anything when visiting the park. People watched, ate food, maybe caught Fantasmic!, and so on. I could absolutely see someone finding a spot, say, by the Rivers of America to just take in the atmosphere and consider it a peaceful place to just study, read book...do anything but ride the rides.
  2. Knowing you, Your mind would be blown by Ghost Town Alive. Such a great entertainment option.
  3. Why? They don't need one...and if they did ever build one, I would imagine it would be in the employee parking lot to open up more space to guest parking.
  4. ...Or they'll have a spare train for use as a backup?
  5. I would imagine that the solar install will require lots of groundwork, so this is better than nothing for a short term fix.
  6. Passes cost so much now, if you live close enough, why not?
  7. You nailed it. What Sea World does is GREAT for the animals, but as long as they keep the focus on the animals...the cloud of blackfish will hang over them. Just keep building rides and market the rides. People know Sea World has animals already.
  8. This will actually make it a two day resort. Hoping the other park gets some love along the way too!
  9. I suspect it will still be crawling with AP's who never give up their table... ...Until Disney prices all the AP's out next year to prep for Star Wars...
  10. Because there is more money to be made in a successful food concept.
  11. The knotts family doesn’t own Virginia’s. It was named as such because Virginia knott ran it while they did own the park. Guessing cedar fair is saving money on dumping. Friday’s franchise agreement and will go in on their own with their own concept.
  12. What makes you think they won't have an extra train?
  13. Future parking pricing: Valet-$40 Covered premium-$35 Regular way in the back-$30
  14. The JL SRL is in the second preshow room. After the show in the second room there are two exit doors, standard to the left and single rider to the right. I've never understood that. Single rider line AFTER you've had to wait to get into the pre-show?
  15. Ahh, yes, sux flags answer to all problems....trim breaks I'd rather have an open ride that is more comfortable than a SBNO ride...
  16. I've always wanted to go to spring training at WDW. Guess I have another year to plan that trip!
  17. Aside from the fact the Sky Cabin is an actual ride system and not just an elevator to an observation area...Magic Mountain doesn't want to pay to keep Sky Tower running.
  18. Is it safe to assume Tomorrowland will be no more when the un-announced MARVEL attraction opens in 2023? Easy to overlay space mountain and orbitron
  19. This was probably the most underwhelming of the announcements at D23. However, it's obvious it is the start of something bigger (would assume ToT gets the guardians overhaul+clone of another super hero ride from within the parks portfolio).
  20. I'm not into Star Wars, so I doubt I'll ever pay the premium to stay there...but the concept of a completely immersive hotel experience sounds awesome! I also love the idea of "old timey cartoon" being used as the theme of a dark ride.
  21. It bleeds money because they didn’t spend money for so long.
  22. That makes no sense. Perhaps it is a treatment?
  23. Most of it is not original anyways. The steeple, stained glass windows and pews are all that remain from the original.
  24. Regarding Apocalypse...Think of a roller coaster as a giant version of your backyard wooden deck. It still has to be properly maintained in order to last. Pressure treated wood can withstand moisture better, but it's still susceptible to all the other elements. And since the forces of a roller coaster are about 1000x the forces your backyard deck will experience, there is a lot of maintenance that has to be done. Once you fall behind, it's already too late.
  25. I share the sentiment that DLP desperately needs new attractions. I had not visited since 2005 until this past year and it felt like nothing had changed. The attendance patterns reinforce that, with DLP decreasing and Studios being relatively flat. Disney Village is still stuck in the past as well. Don't see why they can't simultaneously bring the park "up to Disney" standards AND build new attractions. They did just that transforming DCA.
