  1. So, what happens on the Fast & Furious Party Bus stays on the Fast & Furious Party Bus. The first rule of the Fast & Furious Party Bus is we do not speak of the Fast & Furious Party Bus.
  2. IDK... But I now have a new goal in life!! EDIT: Apparently it's a little less than $2 million for the entire day. (Starting price of course) I'm sure time of year and other factors will only increase that price. I wouldn't be so sure about that price. No doubt it could very well run that much, but that is likely only the starting price for a very specific time and date. The price is dependent upon many factors. The time, what exactly you want, and how many people you have attending all play a role in the final cost. Everything can be negotiated and bought.
  3. The amount varies depending on what you actually want. Parks will gladly sell you anything you want as long as you are willing to pay for it. But you can buy as little as ERT on a ride before or after park hours or as much as the entire park with all you can eat/drink, all you can win on carnival games, etc. included.
  4. I think you guys are reading too much into this. I’d guess they are looking for water parks to pair up at parks that don’t already have them in their market.
  5. I don’t care what the trains look like as long as the ride experience is better.
  6. My takeaway from the poll is I need to travel more again. Haven't been on a lot of the top 25. Kudos to all involved in putting this together.
  7. I would assume since the majority of their staff are still in high school and can't work weekdays that they will have smaller rides closed weekdays until schools let out.
  8. I agree. It's just so different than what you usually see at a theme park, focusing on actually realistically re-creating a world region and not really putting a "fantasy" spin on it. I can't wait to check out Avatar, as previously I just hated that there wasn't more to do and the park always closed so early. Seems like they fixed that.
  9. Just a hunch, but I don't think Knott's is afraid of associating with old western style hangings.... But I don't think anyone besides you will make that assumption either.
  10. It's still the Pixar Pier. So leaving it white to keep the boardwalk look makes sense.
  11. Hanging 10 is a surfing term. It's an old school long boarding trick. Thank you google for teaching me that in 10 seconds. The surfer in the sign logo is not hanging 10, so lets have a 10 page discussion on that inaccurate detail instead...
  12. It sat in the Knotts employee parking lot for a few years before disappearing from there. Guessing they parted out what they could and scrapped it.
  13. I would assume that if the ride isn't covered in scaffolding by now, the answer is probably not. But they could also be waiting for other work to finish.
  14. SeaWorld, which has extra requirements from being on the coast is opening their new ride two days earlier than originally announced. A good project manager will know all the regulations and work with them accordingly.
  15. Everyone should know by now that SFMM is slow in building new rides... My guess is because the ride should go up so quick, project is focusing elsewhere first
  16. Queue looks neat. How similar is the show to USH F&F tram attraction?
  17. When it comes to expansion...the market will dictate what they get. If they can sell the same amount of memberships and passes with something more modest, you can bet they'll stick with that plan. If they need more to stay competitive? They'll go bigger. The beauty of the current state of the industry is that you don't NEED a giga as a marketing gimmick. There are so many cool ride systems available now that can still get you records/hype without just being tall.
  18. Not surprising. No big addition, competitive tourism market (so cal), and the blackfish backlash. New coaster should help right the ship a bit.
  19. And now for something different! A soccer/Olympic stadium! Before TPR’s awesome Oktoberfest trip I spent a few days in London. I don’t know much about soccer, so I chose this stadium because it doubled as the Olympic stadium. One thing I loved was the tour was self guided. Just show up and walk around to the areas they allow access to at your own pace. Tunnel to the field, err, pitch as they say It’s a stadium. Home to a soccer team that the fans don’t like very much right now. Instead of a giant press conference room/table or having reporters in the locker room, they have individual booths for all the players post game interviews Bonus 2: shopping center across the street has a Jamie Oliver restaurant (hi Elissa) The locker room is Part of the tour... I was surprised how basic it was compared to locker rooms and clubhouses I’ve seen in the U.S. I don’t understand why the players need racing seats for their Bench? It does have a hot tub though Bonus: a giant slide (worlds largest) is part of the complex See, soccer team! Also still functions as a track and field stadium. This is a warmup 50m track underneath the stadium. It takes 1 week to switch the stadium back for Olympic events Rich people club
  20. That ride and park were awesome surprises!
  21. They were like that a year ago. It was obvious that they only clean the parts that make direct contact with your face and not the whole unit.
  22. No. Still being alive is a good consolation prize though.
  23. I'm all for removing the running tracks on outdoor decks and replacing them with lazy rivers!
  24. I can confirm that many major injuries on a waterslide is less than ideal... Not even sure why this is a debate.
  25. I always thought it would be their torrent lazy river that would kill someone... Schlitterbahn has always been sketchy. It's just crazy to read how sketchy things were!
