Really what it comes down to is each parks interpretation of the "no loose article" policy in the ride manufacturer's SOP. Cedar Fair obviously chooses to err on the side of caution and take it to the extreme (maybe they lost a lawsuit in the past over something like this?).
I've said it before, but I'll say it again: glow with the show ears only work well if lots of people watching the show have them. Then it really adds to the show. Otherwise it's really no different than buying one of the generic light up toys.
^That's assuming there is enough demand to run both sides...while the layout looks awesome, that area of Long Beach isn't where the tourists go. It's close by, but not near the aquarium and queen mary.
$20-25 seems like it could be the total rewards member price...
They still have to compete with Stratosphere and the Eiffel tower when it comes to attractions with a view, so it can't be TOO expensive.
I will always remember Hammerhead for having the extremely uncomfortable lap bar/harness that was a nut cruncher.
I'd like to see a giant version of a Top Scan in that spot..
