  1. Beaufort has never really been on my radar, but we'll definitely keep it in mind as a potential getaway spot, now! Not sure how I feel about attaching trash cans to sea turtles, though!
  2. ^This calls for some celery!
  3. Damn you, Robb! Now I want hot wings! *grumble...stupid hot wings not available at 7AM...grumble*
  4. We've always skipped it (never been into the Narnia books/movies/whatever.) Glad to see we haven't missed anything!
  5. My husband and kids watched in from our front yard. They said it was the best launch they've seen, in the 8 1/2 years we've lived here. As an added bonus, they also saw the space station passing by! ETA - I was at work, unfortunately. It seems I'm almost always working, when they launch.
  6. Congrats on your 1/2 finish! I ran my first two half marathons (National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer, in February, and the Disney Princess 1/2, in March,) this year. My lofty goal is to run Boston, which I always dreamed of, growing up in Massachusetts, watching the marathon, every year. I hope you will post a report on your experience with the London Marathon! Best of luck!
  7. We're just looking for something to do for an overnight trip on spring break, next week, while our WDW passes are blacked out. Final decision will be made on Monday - not ruling anything out, until then!
  8. I share your pain. Even more so, with the hints of a TPR event at KD, which we will also not be able to make. *thinking more and more about going back to homeschooling...stupid school schedules...messing up our fun...grrrrrr*
  9. Awesome report, Robin! I love my TPR pens!!! They do last a VERY long time. I burn through a lot of pens, at work, and my TPR pens last FAR longer than any others. (Pharmaceutical swag pens are the worst - a lot of them don't even make it a week. ) My Club TPR pen has moved into my work bag, but I'm not ready to put it into rotation, just yet. My current work pens are a TPR pen, a Sanofi Aventis pen from the breast cancer marathon, and a DoubleTree pen from Robb's birthday cruise trip. They make me happy, in my workday drudgery. Is that enough detail about my pens? Am I officially sad and pathetic?
  10. Kurt is my favorite character. I absolutely love the scenes with his Dad!
  11. That looks SO cool!!! I was wondering about the capacity, too.
  12. That was pure awesomeness, Erik! The FL resident deal almost makes it worth driving down to Orlando, next week. Still don't think I want to deal with Easter break insanity, though.
  13. I'm a Gertrude Manly Pose Enthusiast!
  14. Anyone have any ideas about how crowded we could expect Wild Adventures to be, next week? We're looking for an easy overnight trip while the kids are on spring break, next week. I'm off work, Monday through Thursday, so we're thinking about a Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs trip. We've never been there, so I don't know what to expect, crowd-wise.
  15. ^Agreed! I hate bag checks, as they are absolutely pointless. I could very easily walk into Epcot with a handgun stuffed into my waistband, but at least they know the top layer of stuff in my backpack is harmless!
  16. Another wonderfully entertaining report! Thanks, Divv!
  17. We love AK, in spite of it's flaws. I do agree that Rafiki's Planet Watch is completely pathetic and poorly executed. I don't buy that the parking lot is intentionally "hot and unforgiving," though, as it is pretty much identical to every other parking lot in WDW.
  18. I have been sick with this miserable virus since February 20th. I am wondering if I will ever get over it.
  19. I was thinking the same thing, except I was thinking more along the lines of crack or meth. Really, this story makes me want to vomit. I'd take that poor baby in, but DCF would probably force her to go back to her "parents" after they attended a parenting class, or something.
  20. They're putting a climbing wall in the restroom? Seriously, though, it looks like they have put in a tremendous amount of hard work. I hope they have great success with it!
  21. We haven't done the winery tour in the past 6 or 7 years. We're not wine drinkers, at all, but we did it because it was free! It wasn't particularly interesting, as it is not an actual winery, but we made our own fun out of it. That made me think it could benefit from the Erik and Smisty touch! We used to enjoy going to the St. Augustine Nights of Lights lighting ceremony, every November. http://staugustine.com/entertainment/arts/2009-11-17/nights-lights-ceremony-nov-21 Christian's second grade class went to the fort and the oldest school house on a field trip, a year and a half ago. Sadly, now we only go to St. Augustine for the outlet centers. I can totally relate to the pain of trip report crickets.
  22. Yeah! Places I've been to! Did you do the San Sebastian Winery tour in St. Augustine? We had some sort of wrap at the Sand Lake/I-Drive McDonalds, one time. I didn't realize they had other Bistro locations. Let me know, if you ever plan on coming up to Jacksonville!
  23. He's right. I would give Robb $50 a year just for what we get with the site now. Extra's make it even more magical. Same! Signed up all 5 of us!
