Funniest Ride Experiences
average.coaster.fan replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I had a couple really funny experiences I shared with my sister at Busch Gardens Williamsburg back in July. We were riding InvadR in the back row, and as we soar into the turn after the first drop, someone’s hat flies off of their head into the unknown. His friend next to him still had his hat on by the end of the ride. Towards the end of the day we decided to go on the rapids along with a family of four, and these two girls were freaking out over their makeup getting ruined on the ride. One of the girls says her eyelashes are coming off, and the other girl shreiked “Mine?!” -
Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread

I got to ride Sheikra, Valravn, and Griffon last year and honestly, the vest restraints didn’t feel much different from the normal OTSRs. I’m super excited for Yukon Striker and I hope to return to Canada’s Wonderland in the near future! -
Really sad they removed it, but we kinda saw it coming considering it was SBNO for most of the 2018 season. So glad I got to enjoy this ride in 2014 and 2016 for a total of 3 rides. Loved the launches, the inversions, and the unique setting. I hope they end up bringing something better into the space in the near future.

Having lived in Raleigh for about 7 years with a single mother, trips to theme parks like Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Kings Dominion, and Carowinds only occurred once a year for me. I fully support the addition of a theme park in that area as the growing population could easily support it. I would be fine if it was a smaller theme park as well like some of the parks in Pennsylvania, however a corporate park would probably not work out business-wise. Maybe the local FEC, Frankie’s could build a Gravity Group mini woodie or even an SBF Spinner.

1. Three of my favorite coasters have to be Kumba, Montu, and Afterburn, always love old-school B&M loopers! 2. I visited 13 different parks in 2018, by far my biggest year! 3. Cedar Point was obviously my favorite, but I was very surprised by Holiday World and SDC! 4. Steel Vengeance 5. I’d say Valravn exceeded my expectations a lot! The vests didn’t bother me at all! 6. Cinnamon Bread 7. Time Traveler was definitely an incredible ride! 8. Well I know I’ll be visiting SeaWorld Orlando next month. 9. If it counts, Montu, but if not, Thunderbird. 10. I rode Howler since I was curious as to why people hated the Zamperla kids coasters, and curiosity killed me. 11. El Toro 12. Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge as a whole I’m ecstatic for. 13. Indiana Beach 14. I honestly will take White Lightning. 15. Holiday In The Park > Winterfest 16. Wicker Man’s fire infusions looks a lot more intimidating than the shed. 17. I visited Six Flags St Louis this past June, actually kinda underrated. 18. Intamin 19. Kings Dominion, but its close! 20. There were a few 90 minute waits I encountered, but my second ride on Steel Vengeance was a bit longer due to a passing shower. Thank goodness I was in the covered section under the lift hill! 21. Probably Space or Big Thunder Mountain 22. S&S Double Shots are a ton of fun! 23. Maverick > Millennium Force 24. Its tough between log flumes or sky rides, but I’ll go with Sky rides for the views! 25. At Busch Gardens Tampa, I enjoy taking pictures, seeing all the animal exibits, and watching people’s reactions of Falcon’s Fury! 26. Kings Dominion is my second favorite, I just love the great balance of quality coasters and attractions, great park staff, beautiful landscaping, and an easy-to-navigate park layout! 27. Two good reasons to visit BGT: Phenomenal ride collection (including both a log flume and sky ride) and tons of great animals! 28. Launch > Lift 29. I never bought fast pass in 2018 30. Wildcat at Hersheypark is my least favorite wooden coaster, unbearably rough! 31. Disney fanboys: cult 32. Best Batman rides are the B&M Batman clones, hands down. 33. Balloons. 34. El Toro and Voyage are the best woodies over 110 ft 35. I was hit with a ton of mayflies on a front row night ride on TTD 36. If you count powered coasters as credits (which I do), Skywarps are a credit. Its pretty much a more extreme version of those attractions. 37. Turkey legs: maybe? Haven’t had them before. 38. Alpengeist was my most recent B&M back in August. 39. I’ll take the Churros for 48 hours 40. I didn’t get any on-ride photos oops.

Anyone ridden all the RMCs yet?
average.coaster.fan replied to kweiss's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Before this year I had not ridden any, but now I’ve ridden five! Here are my rankings: 1) Steel Vengeance- Pretty self-explanatory. Some of the best airtime on the planet, outstanding inversions, fantastic drops, what more can you ask for? 2) Lightning Rod- Most people think the launch is pretty forgettable, but I actually really love the launch! The first half mainly consists of several overbanks with some crazy laterals, but the quad down is just plain mental. Each moment of airtime is absolute bonkers and I adore it! The half loop is pretty fun too and reminds me of Fury’s treble clef. 3) Twisted Timbers- Much like Steel Vengeance, this coaster is packed to the brim with airtime. Some of my favorite moments have to be the three sustained hills after the first overbank along with the trick track double up! The outer banked turn is also pretty epic as is the cutback! Definitely a must-do at Kings Dominion! 4) Outlaw Run- This ride is a little short, but every part of this ride is flawless. It has my favorite drop out of all the RMCs as well as my favorite set of inversions. The initial stall is pretty crazy with the banking, and the few airtime hills it has have very solid ejector! The wave turn is also really fun, and the double barrel roll at the end is one of my favorite endings to any coaster out there! The hang time is perfect! 5) Storm Chaser- Although my least favorite RMC, it’s still better than over 95% of the coasters I’ve ridden! The beginning of this ride is insane with its barrel roll downdrop and airtime hill filled with sustained ejector! Although the middle is a bit forgettable, the overbanks and twisted hills are still fun. Another solid airtime hill and whippy corkscrew lead into the astonishing trick track double up, an epic double down, and a fun helix with crazy laterals! -
Twisted Cyclone looks like a fantastic RMC! Honestly I think the hate came because the original ride animation was actually quite different from the final product (which isn’t really much of an excuse anyways cuz all RMCs are incredible), but is definitely a coaster and park that I have to visit, especially now living in Florida!

Wow, this was not at all what I was expecting! The layout actually looks quite solid and filled with some great hangime, and 9 inversions?! Really cool that they have some interesting elements like the Togo dive loop, Drachen Fire’s Wraparound Corkscrew, and RMC’s Zero G Stall on there! And the themed land actually looks really nice ajd exciting! Can’t wait to come here one day! -

So is Fury an "I need to rent a fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo" scenario, or an "I can toss my stuff onto the platform" scenario? Yes, you do need to rent a fluffy fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo to ride Fury. -

I visited the park a few hours ago and can definitely confirm that the park was running two trains on Lightning Rod for at least this morning. Not so sure about the evening since the had some maintenance issues, but was nonetheless a fantastic ride. -

It's gotta be Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom. My oh my, this is such an incredible simulator with some stunning visual effects, great thrills, and an all-in-all wonderful adventure.
