  1. Sushi rules. The best I've ever had is at Tokie's in Foster City, CA. I need to get back out to the bay area to eat there again... dt
  2. Mary just brought me home a six pack consisting of three bottles of Mad Elf, and three other Troeg beers. Yay! dt
  3. If that's the head inside the body it will officially be the funniest thing ever. I notice Joe has not posted. Perhaps he is out getting a milkshake... dt
  4. Hmm, from this trailer, it looks like the sort of movie I would want to see, which means two hours of giant robots blasting the crap out of everything on the planet. However, I've read other articles about the movie that says there's a lot of "comedy" in it, which is NOT what I want to see in a movie about giant robots (lame-assed comedy = less time for sequences of destruction and death). So I'm sort of skeptical at this point... dt
  5. The monorail has a sensor that will stop the train if it gets within a certain distance of another train, or if they are moving the track at the storage shed. This is what you experienced. It is not unusual in any way. dt
  6. Joe, just when I think your PTRs can not achieve a new level of awesomeness, you prove me wrong! I love the headless penguin! We're decorating our tree today. Perhaps I shall photograph the excitement... dt
  7. Despite the fact that I now apparently have the bubonic plague or something similar from sharing a room with Joe, I have to agree that this was one of the best weekend trips ever. I got a three credits, and got to experience DCA for the first time. Wow, not a good park! It was seriously worth the airfare and fact that I'm now coughing up internal organs ever hour to see Wes & The Red Hat Lady. Too bad no one got a photo of her throwing her leg around him (said leg probably weighing as much as or more than Wes!). dt
  8. This was all kinds of awesome. What the hell was in that crock pot? Leftover Taco Bell food?!? You were using McCormick spices, so at least one good ingredient went into that culinary experiment. dt
  9. Rob & Amber are in it. Also supposedly in are the Kentucky people from the past season. The huge omission seems to be the hippies, who claim they were not even contacted by the producers to race again. As long as no one from the Family edition is in the race, it's OK with me... dt
  10. Huh?!? Explain. This poll, unlike any other, allows anyone to participate, which gives a better sampling than a bunch of random ballots sent out to a few people in Ohio, most of whom have never done little to no international travelling. The way this poll is structured makes it the most accurate and fair one out there. Sure, I suppose the more people you get to participate gives you even more accurate results, but you cannot force people to participate in the poll. I personally think this is the most accurate poll out there, even if I don't agree with the top selection... dt
  11. This was the first one of these I ever rode, back in '83 or so. RIP Freefall machine... dt
  12. I've never done this one, because I've never really wanted to take the time to rank all boomerangs and SLCs. Is there a way to just put them all into one category or something? dt
  13. Heath, thanks for the tip. I'll head over there tomorrow. Good to meet you and Kim too. Sorry I didn't hang out last night, but I had to drive back to Baltimore. I'm sure I'll see you guys when you come down here to sample some of the local places. dt
  14. ^Stupid PA and the dumbass beer purchasing laws. I would have totally bought a six pack of that Mad Elf, but noooooo, that won't be possible in PA. Bah! Fun day. Thanks for inviting me out. I'll have to take Mary to that ABC place the next time we drive through Harrisburg. dt
  15. What made this weather all the more annoying was that it was 75 the day before!!! Fun evening. I rode just about the crappiest dark ride ever, and got to smell reindeer. The park really needs to open at least one of the coasters for this event. We all had enough beer in us to ride! dt
  16. If it's a clear night, going up on the Empire State Building is a must. Yeah, you can and should do it during the day, but the city looks really cool at night. Just make sure it's clear, though, or you won't see much of anything. The Metropolitan Museum Of Art is also a must-see attraction, if you're into that sort of thing. dt
  17. ^Yeah, that would totally be two squares already on Elissa Bingo! Dave "will start work on the Spain and Japan versions soon!" Thomas
  18. I always love quotes like this: Yeah, that inspires confidence! I think I'll take the "wait and see" approach on this one... dt
  19. Post Of The Day. Wes rules. dt
  20. OK, cool. I'd hate to not have my dumb opinions counted. I've been on 98 different wood coasters. The best? Balder. The worst? Son Of Beast. Oddly enough, I had a much harder time picking the worst coaster than I did the best. Far too many contenders for the Spine Destroyer Award... dt
  21. Dumb question: Do you get some sort of confirmation email or anything after you submit your ballot? I forget... dt
  22. I've never been to this mall or park, but this addition would make visiting the place worthwhile. dt
  23. ^He didn't actually touch a book or anything, did he? Or did they have some coloring books on the shelves? That is a cool looking ship. I know nothing about cruises and this stuff, and am not sure if I'd go on one, as the idea of being trapped on a ship with a bunch of people sort of scares me, but I have been enjoying these PTRs. dt
  24. Thanks for the quality entertainment all week, every day's pictures were better than the last. Glad you guys had a good time. dt
  25. Joe vs The Hammock = comedy gold. Though he didn't injure himself nearly as badly as I would have. Happy Anniversary guys. While you were enjoying the erotic sights of Mexico, I was listening to my mom describe the differences between the Judge Judy show and the Judge Joe Brown show. Holidays are so educational... dt
