  2. You have to atleast give him some credit (no pun intended). I mean, he's 61 years old and he bikes 15 miles to get to the park before he rides. I give him props for trying to stay in shape along with his love for coasters, even if 20,000 is just a little obsessive.
  3. I think we're talking things a bit more realistic than that. The only trains that would possibly be able to switch with inverts would be flyers, but then you have the problem of high Gs pushing you into the restraints. Putting floorless trains on a stand-up would probably be most realistic. The Gs would be fine as the heartline would be above you, simply making the transitions more "swayful" (for lack of a better word). I have always wondered if it would be possible to do it, it would definitely make Mantis better.
  4. What would be the point of taking Wildcat out? It was a pretty fun ride, it always has a long lines, and what could they fit in there anyway?
  5. Now that CP has room to drop a coaster and keep the redord, maybe they'll get rid of Mean Streak! An Intamin plug-n-play would fit well in that space, and probably with space left over too! -Justin "Hey, a boy can dream!" Seabaugh
  6. Quotes from worldsoffun.com. I guess I was talking more about WOF and OOF, so is there any news for the water park?
  7. I chose Intamin mainly because of that AWESOME feeling you get on the drop. They are much more intimidating and much more thrilling. However, WOF's S&S space shot (Dominator) in particular is extremely fun. I didnt notice it on CP's, but WOF's space shot’s emergency cable ends before the top of the tower. This means that instead of the extremely light floater air that you get on normal space shots, you get some extremely quick ejector air. While this is fun, it will never beat an Intamin drop.
  8. Could this be the first year in the history of WOF that they dont get anything new? I was really hoping for that giant frisbee.... Where did you get your information?
  9. If a park without theming theming isn't right for the coaster, than how would that thing fit into the most themed park ever? How about theming those ugly @$$ triangle supports so that they looks like mountains? And maybe have the ride glide through some tranches and canyons? This thing could go a long way with some theming, but even then, the concept of the ride itself still isnt great.
  10. Wouldnt it be stupid to pull through an entire train when you could just pull through one car? You would think they wanted the lightest load possible.
  11. ^I was hoping you would show a shot of WOF from the highway and the side road, that's where the real view is!
  12. I cant believe I forgot about La Ronde! With the addition of Goliath, it looks pretty cool from far away: http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/9890/140933626e158c28e27o8oz.jpg
  13. I would just like to take a second to applaud Robb for trying to keep this site as proper as possible. I can’t even imagine how hard it is to manage a site this large and you (and the other administrators/moderators) do a great job of keeping things in line. I try to keep my posts as clean as possible, and it sometimes amazes me that people can be so oblivious to spelling and grammar. C'mon guys, this is a great site, let's keep it that way!
  14. Cedar Point is quite intimidating because you can see it from so far away and there is so much to see. However, Id have to say WOF is also pretty intimidating. You round a big corner on the highway and you see Mamba towering over everyting. You never really realise how big some of the rides are until you drive past WOF on the highway.
  15. Mean Streak actually looked good back then. Its amazing how time can change things. Nice retro PTR, it's always cool to see how things were "back in the day."
  16. Thats a pretty big coaster for a school playground! Looks like it might have some airtime!
  17. http://p2.rcdb.com/picmax/flamingo-land-theme-park-zoo/kumali35.jpg Kumali looks pretty cool IMO.
  18. Lmao at the slide called "good vibrations."
  19. So let me get this straight, this is a permanent portable? Why make it portable if its brand new and it going to stay? Anyways, I havent really looked at this before today, it looks pretty dang cool though!
  20. Honestly, I like all three of those shots better without the manipulation. Either way though, all of your pics are great.
  21. Definitely some beautiful photos in there, I love all of the angles and the colors. The sun seemed to really be a help. Great PTR!
  22. Look closely at that picture. Do you see how horrible that paint looks? Its all spotty and you can see the blue through it! I think that this is either primer for the supports, or just the first coat. Theres no way they will leave it like that, not even them.
  23. I watched this show yesterday and I think it was fairly interesting. However, I hated how everything had to be a huge drama. Also, why is there a trim at the bottom of the pretzel loop already? I have never seen a trim put on a ride before it's even built.
  24. Did you miss this? http://www.xtremecoastin.com/gallery/sfmw/updates/12-30-06/7.htm I also agree that the coaster will look good with a snake theme.
