1. Not necessarily - I use that term because it's easier than writing out "people who don't go to theme parks very often". I don't feel superior to them, but I know they tend to have a different mindset about theme parks and roller coasters than most of the people in this forum, as you saw in the video you posted of a guy freaking out over Flashback valleying a week or so ago.
2. It was not open yesterday. I believe California Coaster Kings reported that they're still in the middle retracking, and the queue railing is still dismantled. It'll be a few more weeks, at least.
3. They both have Superman/Ride of Steel clones. The Great Escape and La Ronde
4. ^ What he said. I was there for a couple of hours, and everything had 10-20 minute waits. TNR had the shortest line I'd seen in a long time - only about a 30-minute wait. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until it was time to leave. Jet Stream has re-opened, so the park now has two water rides open inside the dry park. I was able to get on Full Throttle after only a 15-20 minute wait. X2 broke down just as I walked up to the front gate, so I turned around and headed back over to Viper, which has only been running one train for the past week (not that it made much of a difference in wait time). Viper delivered a great ride, as always. By the time I got off Viper, I saw a train ascending X2's lift hill with people on it, so I headed over there and literally walked right on. I even got in a second round. The park is open until 9:00 every day this week, most of the major rides are up and running 2-3 trains, and it seems to be relatively empty, so I would definitely recommend visiting the park this week.
5. I agree but the park can't be happy this has happened 2 straight weekends. The other thing the park could maybe look at is how they load the train. SFNE loads Flashback from back to front, which means that the front row is only occupied if they have a full train. I haven't seen any other park do that so not sure if the weight distribution could be having any impact. Honestly I don't see this as a big deal and while I don't understand the loading procedure I'm sure it's done for a reason and it most likely has to do with making sure the ride completes the circuit.I used to be on the bandwagon of people who want it removed but honestly it's one of the better Boomerangs in my opinion and I enjoy it much more than Goliath unless you're lucky enough to ride Goliath in the front. Flashback has totally won me over lately, I hope they keep it. I don't think these two minor incidents will play any role in determining the future of the ride though. I would imagine that the amount of publicity this receives will likely play a big role in Flashback's future. Enthusiasts don't see this as a big deal, but if the local media takes this story and runs with it, the GP will get the idea that the ride must be unsafe because it broke down two weekends in a row.
6. ^ I'm planning on stopping by the park for a couple of hours this evening. I'll let you know how it is.
7. Where's Title Fairy been? She doesn't seem to be granting title wishes lately.
8. Super Wirbel at Holiday Park Arrow mega-looper
9. A TV series. Would you rather eat ham or bacon?
10. I don't even know where to begin with this. Intamin sprays three coats of SPF 50 clear coat on their coasters, which not only preserves the colors, but it also makes it so the sun doesn't burn the steel. However, this paint is less reliable than B&M paint, despite its ability to withstand higher G forces. If only Arrow had thought of doing this back in the day. The reason their coasters are so rough is because the steel heats up and melts in the hot sun, creating ruts and bumps along the track. When they built Tennessee Tornado, they contracted Banana Boat to apply a thick layer of sunscreen to the track, thus eliminating the problem and making it the smoothest Arrow around. I heard they also apply a coast of Vaseline to the track once every three weeks. But that's only at Cedar Fair and Disney parks. Six Flags cheaps out and uses generic Walgreens lubricant.
11. After an Intamin Accelerator has a rollback, the ride's computer will launch the train slightly faster than normal so it clears the hill.

13. Front seat on Scream! at SFMM - the best seat on that ride, IMO.
14. They are both located in Missouri, they both have Boomerangs, and they both have adjacent water parks. Silver Dollar City and Knott's Berry Farm
15. Maybe it was just the spot I was sitting in, but Ghost Rider rattled like a jackhammer when I rode it a few weeks ago, but my relatives who rode right in front of me said it was super smooth. I still enjoyed it, but I had a headache when I got off. On a different topic, does Knott's Boomerang have an Arrow train? It has that same boxy appearance that Viper's trains have, and I've seen pics of other Boomerangs whose trains were smoother-looking.
16. There's a video on YouTube of a guy getting kicked off of Scream at SFMM for bringing a camera on the ride. There were several comments that claimed that the reason the park does that is because they're worried about other parks stealing the theming (LOL) and layout of the ride.
17. They both have B&M hypercoasters. Michigan's Adventure and Six Flags New England
18. No, unless Boomerangs count. Do you like seafood?
19. Have fun! If you are able, try both the front and back rows of X2. They offer different experiences, and both are a boatload of fun.
20. Here's a screen grab, for those who are too lazy to watch the video...
21. A couple of months ago, I waited 3 hours for X2. It was a BAFF Day and the park was only running one train on X2. I had already been waiting an hour before I realized only one train was running, but I stayed in line because I had already invested a lot of time in waiting.
22. I don't even know what that is... so no. Have you ever attended a media day event?
23. Ditto. Revolution has become worse than X2 in terms of long waits and slow dispatches. On days when Goliath, Twisted Colossus, and X2 have 10-20 minute waits, Revolution still has a 60+ minute wait. The only time it's worth the wait is if you get in line right before the park closes, and I have yet to do that.
24. They are both brown (usually). (@AmericanKnight - On a side note, are you browsing TPR on the toilet, or are you obsessively thinking about crap tonight? ) Elitch Gardens and Darien Lake
