Photo TR: John's "Mega 2006 Orlando Trip"
ChrisFL replied to coasterdude5's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Well it has historically had injuries, so they've changed the seating layout 2 times IIRC, and also the drop layout once so far...Im pretty sure they're going to adjust it again. -

So if we all hate the new names, why should we change what we call them? -
Best Arrow Suspended Coaster
ChrisFL replied to HCOSurfer90's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've only been on BBW so I can't vote, but i LOVE that ride...its sad there's hardly any suspendeds around. They should update them so your feet are hanging like inverteds. -
The Hottest Photo EVER!!!
ChrisFL replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've seen a lot of photoshops and done many myself and this to me looks real. You can also see part of Cinderella's hand on the back of Belle, so the odds are those two were together at least for the picture. -
Awesome!

The Hottest Photo EVER!!!
ChrisFL replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Im weird, I'd rather have Pocahontas, Princess Jasmine and Mulan -
Hey Robb & Elissa, I emailed you but I know you're in Orlando right now, wish I could be there. Any chance you may be in town on May 5th or 6th? I'll be there at that time and plan to go to SFMM. I've never been to ANY SF park before, so this will definitely be an experience for me. If you have any idea if you'll be in town, let me know! Edit: had to correct the dates because Im a dumbass...it's Friday or Saturday the 5th or 6th of May

Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread

I tend to think that Epcot USED TO try to be educational, now Disney seems to think that didn't work so they're going with other ideas. -
Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread

there has been many TV shows which talk about future attractions which never make it. I have a video of the Epcot opening with James Earl Jones going into details of the Africa land they were going to build...and never did -
Busch Gardens Name Changes
ChrisFL replied to stew560's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My guess is that Africa may have been referred to as the "dark continent" even before BG took the name....but I don't know for sure -

While I agree that Future World needs work you realize that probably 80% of the attractions are updated now. The only exceptions are The Living Seas, but it's getting rehabbed and the Universe of Ellen, oops, Energy. M:S and Test Track are totally new, Wonders of Life is closed entirely and hopefully soon to be replaced. Imagination was rehabbed and rehabbed again (though no better), The Land has Soarin'. Spaceship Earth is a classic. So while I don't think it's actually any better than 15 years ago I wouldn't call it outdated -
Holy Land Theme Park Going Under

I don think I could make avatars for these so I'll just name them: "Moses Parting of the Sea" Wave Pool "Tower of Babylon" Dive Coaster -

Best American B&M Inverted coaster
ChrisFL replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've ridden: Montu Great Bear Alpengeist Dueling Dragons... of those 4 err 5, I pick....Alpengeist first. I only had the chance to ride it once, but IMO it was much more thrilling than my home Montu. Dueling Dragons is also very good, but each ride is IMO too short. So if we have to split it into Fire and Ice, I'd pick: Alpengeist DD Ice DD Fire Montu Great Bear -
haha, oops...oh well, I guess Im a victim of it too

really liked A:E, haven't been on Stitch version yet (nor do I plan to) but I think it's quite funny how many of you refer to it as a "ride". Exactly where are you "riding" to in the attraction? Though I enjoyed A:E, I knew all along that it was a bit intense for a Disney style ride, though someone brought up the good point about the Tower of Terror. Maybe they should have called it the "Killer Alien Invasion" or something scarier
