  1. They are NOT fingerprint scanners, they like memorize your hand shape or something. When I was at Disney in December, they DUMPED, I mean took every item out of my bag for search. And proceeded to do that all day. WTF is up with that? No, they replaced the finger shape ones with fingerprint scanners. As for picking Disneyland..Disney owns ABC which got a LOT of negative comments about the docudrama "path to 9/11"
  2. I would have said the Mummy at USF but actually after being on the improved Space Mountain at DL I have to go with that one first...I love the new effects and it's very dark, plus the ending is cool
  3. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on Twister. There's a few reasons I think, first the actual twister isn't really that impressive looking although I saw how they made it on TV once and it's very difficult to even do what they did. Also I think people dont enjoy all the "rain" falling on them during the show, I've seen some people soaked after it was over
  4. I've seen the other pics of the entire project and it's much much bigger than the pics here. I know if it's buit the way the drawing show and is done by 2018 it will be incredible. However, looking at these pics, some of it seems a bit tacky or like it actually was put together in RCT.
  5. so I wonder what people like Yeti-man did with themselves before EE opened....or maybe I dont want to know
  6. They had big kaleidoscope things too. The instrument thing with the lights was really cool, and had some holographic effects with it. There was also a wall with colors which changed when someone stood next to it IIRC
  7. Time for a new game (or at least I hope its new, kind of hard to search for) Take a name of a park and name it something more accurate. Here's mine: Magic Kingdom = "Stroller Encounter"
  8. I can name about 20 parks I'd rather go to than DCA... Anyway, I think TDS would be my favorite, I'll find out next year, but for now I've been to DLR and WDW's parks, think I'll go with Disneyland just because it packs a lot of attractions which WDW's MK doesnt since it's spread out over other parks
  9. I thought the Tokyo Indy was different than Anaheim
  10. I don't think you give people credit enough. When it comes down to it, I'm sure who ever is planning the trip is not as arrogant as you think. And it may even be so that they don't get confused, maybe they're comparing the two. As for BMG coming to Florida, sweet. I imagine it would be cheaper to see them there as well. trust me, he is giving people enough credit, I have a co-worker who's lived in Tampa Bay her whole life, been to Disney many times and had no clue what USF was about and never heard of IOA
  11. Arrghh, why cant they keep Smart Watermelon in stock...I refuse to drive to Atlanta for my fix
  12. Robb is IMO right that the DCA version just isn't on par with the WDW version. The first time I was on the WDW version and the whole "elevator" started to move forward, I was in shock, having no idea what was going to happen next. Mix that with the eerie effects, it made it a much more dramatic experience for me than some big mirror with lighting effects. The only thing DCA does better is the shaking of the vehicle.
  13. Im getting more anxious about the Japan trip....I want to go to Toyota MegaWeb badly too! I might have to max out a credit card to go, but I dont care
  14. Not if you join A.C.E.! Seriously Im looking forward to the Japan trip, eating healthy japanese food for over 2 weeks and walking around parks every day, Im bound to lose a few pounds...that is unless we go to Mickey D's a lot
  15. Robb I can understand, if you have a group day or something you want to do , just post it
  16. Hey Robb and/or Elissa, I thought I read several months ago that you're planning to be in Orlando in November, is that still on? Any idea on dates?
  17. Hey, at least we can finally get to see benefits from it...a theme park bigger than any other in the world
  18. I think Rachael Ray is worth watching, love her personality, and shes cute too.
  19. wow you're 16 and saved $1300 from a summer job...man, wish I was good at saving money like that back when I was 16
  20. Robb, at Mythos, Balsalmic Chicken is BACK on the menu as of a few months ago...I still love eating there and I heard they have a new head chef as well, which could explain the difference: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1023610 So Mythos is still my #1 favorite IN a theme park even if it's had some ups and downs
