Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

^ Those trains were planned or ordered or something of the sorts but they couldn't meet their deadlines so they didn't go for those. They've been doing wonders to our woodies a step at a time up north... so you never know. -

There's Backlot, Riverside Snacks, Granny's Sweets, and Thrill Burger that serve chicken fingers... but I honestly wouldn't buy it unless I'm feeling rich at the moment... Backlots chicken strips+fries went up to $9.99! It was like $15 for that and a freakin' drink. I'd also expect chicken fingers to end up in Marketplace... unless the teens running it can serve up ethnic foods which may happens, seeing as York Region is such a multicultural area. But anyways... anyone love our yellow shirt-ed sweepers? -

Minebuster's re-tracking will went well. The ride is re-ridable again... but then again, there's only like one airtime spot. And yeah, the flowers have always been like that. I think the flag is done by Victoria Day. Let's just hope this American company knows what a maple leaf looks like And I still find this kinda funny... -
A Letter to Cedar Fair

Honestly, I'm pumped for the restaurants. They might not be much but it is a step in the right direction in terms of improving the park as a whole. In case you haven't noticed, it's not always about rides. The park has to make their money somehow, even if it means adding more food venues and cutting back on rides a bit. I do agree, some people are getting 'concerned' about the lack of major rides but food and entertainment has lacked for the past few years. It's weird how entertainment has lacked, being a PARAMOUNT park. Don't worry, we'll get our big break eventually. CW has almost no major competition too so really... yeah. What's the point of this thread again? -
Re-Organizaing TPR's Front Page

What font are you referring to? The main titles (like announcements and official updates) show up as Veranda or something, not the TPR font. -

I like it but I don't seem have the font that everyone seems to have in those screenshots. Maybe using a font that's a bit more universal to all computers? -
BORG Malfunctions...
asimowalk replied to coastrfreak2000's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The way I see it, it's probably a redundant (heh, haven't use that word before) system on the train. Possibly mechanical that does it by itself without the need of a computer. That's like the only way it can stop there intentionally. How it works, I have no clue. -
Safest Restraints and Manufacturer
asimowalk replied to Mr Stratosphere's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd have to say the Mondial OTSR with or without the belt. They come down automatically and clamp onto you. It's usually not uncomfortable except for the odd time when it comes down and you end up with it jabbing you in the leg or something... But still, it's better than the HUSS Giant restraint jabbing you in the balls! I know I wouldn't exactly panic without a belt since Sledge Hammer (HUSS Jump2) doesn't have belts and has operated fine. Those restraints have less locking stuff than the Mondial too. -
Best Arrow Suspended Coaster
asimowalk replied to HCOSurfer90's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I voted for Vortex @ PCW... It's the only one I've been on and I'm pretty sure it's one of the more powerful ones out there. I just wish it were longer but at least the line moves really quickly. I don't know why you would vote for Top Gun @ PKI more than Vortex @ PCW... It's just Vortex minus the terrain and that's no good! -
FOUNTAINS?
asimowalk replied to Steffen_Dk's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
They do, but my park hours are like 8am-8pm to avoid the night time mode... it gets too slow for my liking. -

^You set the duration to the maximum... at least thats what I remember doing. For some reason, my computer doesn't co-operate with the water stuff... -

What is the best flat ride/ rides to you?
asimowalk replied to Supermilk's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't know why, but I just love the Mondial Revolution (basically a HUSS Giant Frisbee). It's probably 'cause it came before the HUSS Giant Frisbee, as people were naming it "the frisbee with seats facing outside". Yeah, so that and probably a tie between a Mondial Splashover and Top Scan. Both those rides have awesome potential but sometimes the park decides to run them crappy. -
Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
asimowalk replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The thing that bugs me is...the ride acts like its 5 years old. The helicopters been busted for who knows how long. The splash is so gay compared to the one at PKI. The police cars part is a little chesy 'cause the cars just sit there doing nothing, and most of the time, I can't hear any sirens or anything. The headlights have never worked for me. Remember, I'm talking about PCWs -
Isn't it the other way around?

asimowalk replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They'd probably be sitting on a bench anyway... I'm like a little over average weight for my height and stuff. I never visit water parks, and if I do, I wear a t-shirt...a colored one... -

Fire/Drills suck. My elementry school caught fire 3 times since I was there. There was one year where there was a drill every other week  Then in summer school, only one person heard the announcement about ignoring the fire alarm...we were watching Coach Carter -
