About the sale on CGA merch, I wouldn't worry too much. On the CW newsletter, they said they're having a huge sale starting in a couple weeks at one of the shops, 60% off everything, season pass holders can get an additional 20% off. They're probably just trying to sell off more stuff as the season winds down. When they buy in such bulk quantities, marking things down can come a little easier when they're trying to make sales.

So this is the fourth former Paramount Park to install/announce a Windseeker... When's CGA's turn? Windseeker isn't noisy and it's closed for the majority of the season anyway.

Well, they'll definitely be changing the "Happy 30th Birthday" but I wouldn't be surprised if it just said "Thanks for visiting" next season. I can also see them changing the beginning after what happened with the Fireflies scene. I was kind of hoping for one of those dramatic openings where everything shuts off at once like with World of Color. ^ I'm going to say much needed water park upgrades. So I finally got to see Starlight Spectacular last night! I think I watched it too many times on YouTube because the excitement wore off just a couple minutes into it, not to mention they enjoy blasting the music at all of their shows so loud that the sound becomes distorted and uncomfortable. The ending has always been my favourite and is definitely my favourite scene to see live with everything flashing all around you. The post-show is also nice to stick around for if you have the time.

So I visited the park today.. It was a lax day for me since I was with a member of the GP and my main objective was to ride Windseeker which I hadn't before because it was always down. I didn't ride many rides, but it was fun day. In park news, Sledge Hammer was closed and work was being done on Nightmares with a crane.

I think it's just cause there's no MCBR. I don't think they put one in because it would probably end up somewhere too far from the station and you'd be forced to cross through Dragon Fire and/or Courtyard just to get to it.

I love how CF keeps getting their promotional material leaked announcement eve. I really need to get me some 3D glasses. I still haven't ridden CW's Windseeker 'cause it's always down when I go.

Now that the Leviathan talk has sort of died down, I guess I have a chance to ask... Does anyone have any really good videos of Starlight Spectacular? I really like the show but I can never see it in person as I don't have access to a car and I don't want to get home past midnight with [horrible] public transportation. In particular, anyone have any footage of the post-show? It looks nice from what I can see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHl1o3t_JF0 If you haven't guessed by now, I'm a fountain show fanboy.

With some of the captions and those last couple pictures, I wouldn't be surprised by restroom TR part. As mentioned before, no POVs please.

Great! Something else to catch on fire at Cedar Point!

I hate not being able to afford any vacations outside of my home park. My chances are incredibly slim, but I still posted my review anyways. I've been meaning to for a while now but I have lots to say in 750 words about the only park I've been to...

With some elements on the Leviathan website like the banners that come down when you mouseover the menu, I'm really hoping for a nice grande entrance to the ride and some more medieval elements added to the area (to compensate for the modern shock of Drop Tower and Speedcity next to it). You know what would be really good idea, and really inexpensive for the park? A giant plaque at the entrance of the ride telling a story between Behemoth and Leviathan. I can see why people are comparing the two, I am myself... But what's done is done, Wonderland should roll with the way the public is taking their announcement. Another observation is that with the loss of the grassy area people typically use for picnicking, they should really make the picnic pavilion more noticeable and have signage around the front gate that points to it. And what's going to happen with the Canadian flag?

The Ditch is a Ditch, if it was going to be a splash down, they would have made it clear in the rendering. The only purpose of the ditch was probably to increase the drop of the ride without increasing the height (like Goliath and Bizarro) so it breaks a record. I'm kind of expecting the ditch to be equipped with fog machines or at least smart lighting... As far as CF concrete jokes go, I still can't see them leaving it looking like a parking lot coaster.

The thing that scares me the most about Behemoth is the lift hill, so this is definitely going to freak me out with a traditional chain lift. While I was expecting something more fancier, I'll still be grabbing a 2012 season pass.

Two things: 1) The lift hill supports look like a page out of Intamin's book. 2) Is this the 85 degree drop we've been waiting for since 2008?

I like that it kind of shows like two tails running along side each other. I'm expecting at least some section of track to run through one of Dragon Fire's corkscrews. Interlocking corkscrews might be a little stretch.

I really hope it does receive some decent theming to give Medieval Faire a chance for a makeover. Other than some stone paths and borders, the theatre, and Marketplace, the area has almost completely lost it's medieval touch. I've always wished that they'd rename Riptide and Drop Tower the next time they're in need of new paint.

^ Whoa, I never even noticed that... I was thinking... With Slade talking about the engineering of the new ride and Kinzel talking about records, maybe we can see a 'most inversions' record that includes a new element. It wouldn't be that hard to break the Canadian record at 5 inversions (2 La Ronde coasters tied with Flight Deck). 10 might be a stretch for the world record, but they could go for 8, the most in North America.

For those that are watching out for stakes, did you notice any others alongside the ones you found? We see the straight line of stakes, but we could judge the height of that specific spot if we could see the footer for a lateral brace. I'm starting to have an open mind on the giga... My mind will be blown in a couple days either way. And I'm kind of curious... Has the employee lot been relocated to the public lot?

Yeah, I get your guys' point. I guess I came on too strong by saying never. CF has surprised me a few times since they came to town.
