  1. Pizza Brownies or cake?
  2. Arguably the most popular ride in the park = more people around = more sales Talon is not the most popular ride in the park, pretty sure the GP chose Steel Force over Talon for most popular. If you want to make sales, then go sell it next to Stinger.
  3. I'm trying to, but the servers can't handle millions of people at once (which makes sense) so I cant atm.
  4. Visited Hersheypark yesterday with my father, and had a great day at the park! Got there around 11, and did Midway America and Pioneer Village (or whatever it was called). On our way to the Hollow, it started to rain. Skyrush, Comet, and SDL had already closed, but the nearby Waveswinger was open, so I did that. That turned out to be a mistake, as the rain picked up and I got absolutely soaked! Dad and I waited back at the car for an hour or so, and eventually decided to do Chocolate World and hope the weather cleared up. Luckily, it did, so after a few minutes at Chocolate World we were on our way back into the park. We did the remainder of the park, and then went back for rerides, since the weather washed away lines up to the 10 minute mark. Left at 8 since it gets hard to walk after swimming in wet shoes for 6 consecutive hours (that or I'm weak, but it was uncomfortable). Now to the rides (based on order ridden) - Fahrenheit: Great ride, love the drop and tight inversions. Vest restraints make this ride much better than it was last year. I don't fit in the groove of the seat all that well, but I think that's just Intamin telling me that I need to lose weight. Didn't kill the ride however. - Lightning Racer: A good wooden coaster. I enjoy the whole racing aspect of the ride, I would likely consider it a worse coaster without it. Decently smooth, fun and enjoyable. - Wild Mouse: Standard Wild Mouse, although I did notice less braking on the switchbacks. - Wildcat: Pretty much the opposite of Lightning Racer - Rough, not fun, and not enjoyable. - Sidewinder: Meh. The vests make it bearable but the track still feels rough as hell and it's a boomerang so there's only so much you can get out of it. - Storm Runner: Holy crap this ride is good! This ride has improved so much with the new restraints! This means you don't get your head torn off during the flying snake dive. Instead of bouncing back and forth painfully, you just slowly go from side to side, and painlessly. With this in place, I can love the entire ride and not just the first half before having it ruined by headbanging (neckslicing?). The launch is great, the drop good, and the inversions are fun. An amazing ride. - Comet: Nothing special, just an old woodie. Still fun and enjoyable, unlike another wooden coaster at this park. - SDL: Good ride overall, loop is forceful and fun. The only issue was that I rode it right after it opened, and the car I got was the one they left out in the rain, which meant there was a half inch of water on the floor of the car. Most of it came out in the loop though. - Skyrush: Just as I expected it to be. Extremely intense, huge ejector airtime, a fast ride that keeps up its speed, and squished thighs. Oh well, I guess that's the price for one of the best coasters in the area. - Great Bear: Decent invert. I prefer Talon because it's more forceful and has a complete ending, but there wasn't much else they could have done with this ride. Overall a solid coaster. I also enjoyed Flying Falcons, as it was fun to be on a scrambler in the sky.
  5. The park being dead? What a surprise. I agree, Possessed is the best coaster in the park outside of back left Talon (BLT?) Also, why do they even sell normal fast pass? The only line you'd get through is WM because it's a slow line. Another question: Why do they sell Advil, Tylenol, and Dramanine in the photo booth for Talon? It's the smoothest ride there.
  6. Sitting in line for Kissing Tower for some great views when this guy walks up and asks the op a question: Guy: "How long is the wait for this?" Ride Op: "About 5 minutes." Guy: (turns back to group) "35 minutes." and walked away. Note that my dad and I were the only one in line.
  7. 3, 4, and 5 are blue. Those numbers are at the end of the sequence. The sequence is short. Drop rides are short. When a ride is over, you'll be feeling... blue I'm pretty sure most people don't feel blue when they get off of rides. Unless it's their last ride of the night of course! Maybe people on this website will feel blue because they're expecting something better. Or is that only Kings Dominion
  8. I've had a lot of rollercoaster dreams in the past few months. Many involve me going to different parks and riding rides. The parks I go to in my dreams are completely made up (such as Six Flags Over Vermont and "Worlds of Fun" - which was in Chicago and was full of average B&M hypers) or have complete whack layouts (like Kings Dominion that was compressed into a small area and had 3 rides or SFGAdv, which was completely flat and only had Skyrush, Kingda Ka, Fury 325, and one side of Lightning Racer). One interesting thing is that in my dreams, I never see coaster POVs. Either something happens and I can't ride the ride, or in the case of Kings Dominion, I either black out immediately (Dominator) or wake up (I305). I've had a couple other weird dreams: - There was this new coaster at some park (that was not mentioned) that had a launch, went 300 feet into the air (like TTD, but there was no twisting, the hill was aligned with the launch) and back down. There was no brake on the ride, it was just a long straightaway where the train had to slow down. After each run, the train had to be pushed back up the 300ft tower and into the station. A nearby park (also unnamed) wanted to compete with this, so they built something similar to an S&S Thrust coaster that was 400ft tall. The launch section was all in the station and was instant. Upon testing it for the first time (fully loaded with guests), it derailed at the top and everyone died. - At Dorney, Possessed fell on its side. The park called in RMC to put it back where it was, and instead they converted Stinger into an RMC boomerang (with the normal trains, so once the ride started they flipped the train over and raised it up to the normal track). Didn't get to ride this one, it was broken down.
  9. Ok, thanks! If they didn't, I guess I could wear cargo shorts, but I prefer to put items and my shoes in the bin.
  10. Replace Corkscrew with a new slide complex and maybe a family flat in there and that's about accurate.
  11. I am truly curious as to what this is. The world may never know. Edit: the world knows.
  12. ^^ Do they still have the small bins for your phone and other small items?
  13. Nobody here cares about the waterpark so you might be better off calling the park. Or just going to the theme park and avoiding Hurricane Harbor like the plague... Ok then, won't ask about the water park here again. Also, I'm not sure if you meant avoid WWK like the plague or avoid the Six Flags waterparks like the plague. I honestly don't know why they keep this info hidden... seems like it might actually sell a few extra passes if people knew about it? Thanks for the info. Early wave pool access isn't that enticing to me. ERT on Talon is nice, but the line is never more than a one train wait on most days so there's no rush to get there early. I wonder why they don't advertise the early entrance for WWK. As you said, i'm sure at least a few people would enjoy the early wave pool.
  14. More like a launched dive coaster (make that work somehow) with 76 inversions The train is pulled up the hill by chain, rolls over to the holding brake, and the train is accelerated while it falls, making you fall faster than gravity.
  15. Does anyone know if you get in the waterpark early with a season pass, and at what time?
  16. The street performers stay for the Hoedown at 5:30 and then they go home. The Calico stage Circus of Wonders show is at 9:00 and it's sort of an extension of GTA (the circus comes to town). There are bands (jazz, swing, soft rock) that play right across from the Boardwalk Circle fountain in the evening leading up to CoW. Still a bummer that a "ghost town" is only alive until 5:30 (except for Haunt of course). It would have been awesome to have a separate set of night time characters out that have a different personality and show what happens when the sun goes down. The day time stuff is awesome and really adds character to the area/tons of awesome interactions with guests. Once everyone leaves, then it really is a ghost town
  17. A Falcon's Fury tower could be an option considering that the only other nearby Intamin drop tower is 400+ feet tall, tallest in the world.
  18. Coca-Cola all the way! Pepsi tastes like garbage. Well it's not that bad, but it's too sweet for me.
