  1. Great coaster, but the ride itself could've been a bit faster - such slow inversions aren't common characteristics of B&M's. Also, try working on the final flatspin - the laterals go into yellow.
  2. I've decided to set myself a project for this summer - teaching myself a way to build a roller coaster model. As of now, I just want to try out a short segment of track with maybe one hill. I hope to have a model with a full circuit by next fall. I was thinking of using wooden skewers to build the support structure and some soft balsa wood to lay the tracks. Hot glue seems like a good idea to attach the support pieces together but if anyone with experience has a better method, please let me know! Once I assemble the supports, I'll stand them up vertically and connect them at all the cross-brace points. Finally, I'll lay the trackwork, applying glue to each support piece and laying down the balsa. I made a quick diagram of what the support assembly will look like. Basically, I made a structure with 2 beams, cross-braces, and bents. I don't know when I'd add wide supports, but like I said, it's still in the planning stages.
  3. For the pathways, I put Aceana's Paving Essentials to work (easily found on the atari community boards). I used ShyGuy's Circus set for the railings.
  4. I'm not sure if you can do it before Wild, but in the ride info panel, there's a button with a fenced in square - click on it and use it just like the mass delete button to select the squares of scenery you want to include with your coaster.
  5. I saw someone downtown sporting your shirt the other day, Tom.
  6. You think I don't know what I did this morning? Anyways, I'd really love to head out to Cedar Point this summer (we would've stayed there when I was little, but the hotels were all booked). I hope we can get there on a day where the crowds are more low key.
  7. The train in front hasn't made it to the mid course launch yet. The train behind has already been through the mid course launch. They are both in different blocks. I photoshopped that.
  8. Too close! Blocks failed! OMG!!! I'm such a webcam stalker... I swear I've been sitting here watching Maverick for 30 Minutes.
  9. Thanks, guys! Normally I would've added trees, but I saved it as a track file to use in a future park of mine - the tree adding will take place there to make it fit with the certain climate of my park (Tropical, Northern, Desert, etc.)

  11. What program did you use to make the 3ds?
  12. I might, but I need to have a time where I won't be using my laptop for 3 hours Here's the Ride's logo (I forgot to upload it in the first post!)
  13. I'm going to be quick so you can get to the photos, but I wanted to make a nicely themed woodie with as much detail as I could add. I spent about 4 hours on it. I'm still wavering on whether or not to put up the track for download, because I don't want anyone to steal it. Enjoy the photos! Heading out of the station Night shot of the station and lift Fancy transfer track! Here's an overview of the layout. I LOVE this shot! This coaster is a little over 100' I'd put a sign right here, but Vista has different file names, so I can't make billboards. Here's the station.
  14. That was awesome! I loved how the ride had no boring spots - everything flowed just right. Also, the whole deal on the "Parking lot coaster" I believe it's a whole different deal on a woodie because of how many footers woodies use - it's much easier to put a bunch of footers on a big 'ol concrete slab rather than into the ground which allows them to move and settle into each other. A steel coaster, however, uses less footers, which is why it looks really crappy on concrete.
  15. I liked the layout, but you need to take some more time smoothing out the nodes and perhaps running it through the track smoother - I had to check whether or not shocks were on!
  16. I never noticed the sign, but I can see where it's coming from - there's a little bit of jerking from the extremely intense helixes and wingovers, but no real headbanging. Maverick will probably be the same.
  17. In the kami kaze trains, where are the explosives?
  18. Gas prices rise because of demand. It's not like your boycotting will make thousands of gallons of gas magically appear.
  19. Drums (5 Years) and Piano (9 Years)
  20. I was so disappointed to see an empty building where Trailblazer used to be - I had a BLAST riding that when I was little, even now! They'd better do something interesting with the building it was in.
  21. Ugh... I ate a whole funnel cake (and I think it was way undercooked) - when I got home, I was lying on the couch from 9:00-11:30 feeling like I was about to puke. I think I'll be traumatized for a while now.

  23. Is what you used for the track construction paper? [if so or if not], how did you make the track?
