GUIDE: Calculating Persons Per Hour
Golfie replied to Golfie's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I suppose... it just depends on your judgement. I created a spreadsheet with the formula built in so you only have to plug in capacity per train, number of trains, and ride duration (in seconds), and Excel does the rest! Calculate Capacity Per Hour.xls -
NL coaster Desperado

The color scheme reminds me of Raging Bull. How come you only used 4 cars per train? -
Here's the whole sha-bang of the replacement process - enjoy! By the way, I've heard Neptune's Fury is back up and running (when I left, it was testing). ...and yeah! The coaster is back up and testing! The construction walls were taken down by sunset. Ooh... The tilt section was in the air around nooninsh. Shipping containers with BIG holes in the top! They've got a crane, shipping containers, everything!

NL G Question
Golfie replied to xascher's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Here's a quck spreadsheet showing what you could do with the first 30 seconds of a coaster (I made this data totally up), but I included a graph and table showing how it could be done. G-Force Log.xls Enjoy! -
^Actually, I've shown the majority of it. It's a very short ride (Drop, waterfall, lift, temple, hill, waterfall, end), and most of it is enclosed. UPDATE: A friend of mine sent me a picture of Neptune's Fury - it seems like they're totally replacing the tilt area! I'll keep an eye out to get some shots of the delivery of the new track.
-
I figured out the issue - trees on NL change shape every time you launch the Sim. So because I'm using the NL default environment, they change so they hit into the track. Sorry about that!

GUIDE: Calculating Persons Per Hour

^Not necesarily. Most times, you'll end up with a decimal which can be rounded for a quite accurate estimation. -
Photo TR #2! April 1, 2007 Something's going on with Neptune's Fury - more about that in the TR. WOW! The park has done some work in the past few weeks! So many new features and attractions have been added. Enjoy! We grabbed a bite to eat at the restaurant and headed home. I really hope Neptune's Fury isn't down for too long - it's a great ride. Water Spout - 20 stories up, 3 launches! Giant gladiator statue in the middle of Neptune's Fury's Intense heart loop Riptide - a REALLY fun flat ride. Be sure not to miss it! The two beasts of the park. Here are those night shots I promised you guys! Oh no! I heard that the ride is getting some repairs on the tilt section. The also built a bathroom at the north end of the main way. All day, the show was sold-out with a line always behind the stadium. Aquos! Then we headed down the main way to ETA's brand new Dolphin Show... Brand new robo-arm ride right outside the main plaza. The ride ends by emersing riders in a VERY dense jungle. At night, the whole thing is illuminated with a giant torch in the middle of the ride. Oh... crap. Ooh! We're in the lost temple! If you don't want to get wet, do not go on this ride. Trust me. The first BRAND NEW ATTRACTION of the day: Lost Temple of Atlantis The park is getting more dense every time!

NL G Question
Golfie replied to xascher's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Record a video of the coaster with the stats shown On a spreadsheet, record the g-forces at each set increment of time (every 1,2, or 3 seconds, etc.) Create a line graph using the data you recorded. Basically, it depends on how dedicated you are to seeing a graph of the G-Forces. -
The Railings are from Shyguy's circus set. SO many additions have been made to the park now: New restrooms Dolphin Show called "Aquos" has been added River Rapids Ride "Lost temple of Atlantis" (Or something like that... can't remember) Robo-Arm Ride "Octopus" Plus, I have a POV of Neptune's Fury and a video of two panoramas of the park - one at night and one during the day!

I had never used Atlantis theming before, so I wanted to try it out. This entire park was based around the tilt coaster called "Neptune's Fury" which interacts with the tropical foliage in this Floridian park. I "went" to the park yesterday (opening day) to see what there was to offer! p.s. I've heard rumors about some new things being built... I'm going to check in in a few more days to get some night shots of the park. The park is AMAZING at night - I'll have to get more photos of night next time. Brake run... waiting for the other train to be loaded. Heading into the double corkscrew, overbank, and past the first drop. Coming out of the MCBR into the helix of death! Then the train is thrown through a heart loop - the most intense part of the ride. The second hill - the train goes over rather slow, but it offers a LOT of floating time. Are we going to fit in that tiny hole? This is where one hopes the breaks DON'T fail. Going up the lift The queue is very well made - I think it zig-zags, but you can't tell because everything is walled in. The entrance to the ride, along with giant stave. Here's where riders are tilted 90 degrees in the mercy of their restraints... Tilt coaster! Between the main entrance and Neptune's Fury's Plaza, there's a restaurant offering steak, burgers, and sandwiches. Then we headed for the main attraction - Neptune's Fury! We went in to get our season passes. Here's the view into the park. We got there early, but the park had a pre-opening show. It was okay.

This is why I don't like digital cameras - you can't do the things film cameras can! -
However, the ad was talking about how it's open for spring break - mostly for 17-20 year-olds. It makes more sense to make these ads more freaky.

BEST WEEK EVER. I finished and presented my eight minute speech about Alternative Transportation Fuels. I'm getting my braces off next Friday. I got a 24-pack of Prismacolor Colored Pencils, a brand new sketchpad, and a metal pencil sharpener.
