I wouldn't think that Rougarou and Raptor/Gatekeeper would be that different to operate, all being B&M coasters. I'm probably wrong, but it seems like it would be easy to train people to be able to run all the B&Ms (same with all the Arrows or all the Intamins). Or do these rides have major differences that one wouldn't expect? I guess I would expect major differences in the four Intamin coasters since they are such different ride experiences, but the B&Ms and Arrows are all pretty similar to the others except for how the seats are arranged. -

No one has any idea what LR could be like next year, but if it's working properly than it would probably be good to go there first. -

But still, when I was there you could barely feel any wind and rides would be closed because of it. I especially don't understand why Raptor has issues when it's not even on the outside of the peninsula. -

Why do so many rides at CP have problems with wind? It seems like their rides close for wind more than any other park, which I can kind of understand since they are on the water. -

I agree if they go for topper track and keep it a wooden roller coaster. I hate how Goliath at Six Flags Great America has that bright red track. It doesn't look like a wooden coaster. But if they do an I-Box conversion I don't care about the track color. -

But it won't be a wooden coaster if they do an I-Box conversion. -

I also like the name Mean Streak. I don't get why parks always change the name when they do these conversions. Do they just think people won't think the ride has changed if it has the same name? -

^ I don't know about FL passes, but I know we got our park tickets right at the hotel front desk when we checked in. -

60 isn't quite as big of a deal as 150. -

Welcome to TPR eguenecd!! I know this comes back every time someone mentions something about the 150th in 2020, but do people honestly think that they won't do anything big to celebrate the ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTIETH anniversary of the second oldest theme park in the US? -

Why are we just thinking more time on Gatekeeper? More people in the back of the park means more time on all four B&Ms! -

I kind of agree with you but I kind of don't because it is columbus day weekend and everybody knows it is always absolutely packed this weekend. Is it packed because of Columbus Day? I know that we don't Columbus Day off here in NW Iowa, but do people in the CP area? -

Thanks for confirming that I am not an enthusiast. Gatekeeper is definitely my favorite B&M at the park. -

No, I think Dollywood would rather have the best new ride. They probably thought the same things when they picked Outlaw Run as best new ride of 2013. -

According to the Golden Ticket Awards, MF is no longer the best steel roller coaster. -

In this instance, it stopped about halfway on the hill while the train was still over the LSM's. It was my first time ever seeing a rollback on the coaster. I saw a rollback on Top Thrill Dragster, which was also kind of cool. I mean the train was empty, and they probably purposely did a rollback, but I still got to see a rollback -
I do too. It's most likely a slide from WWK. I do, however think a new coaster will come sooner then we think. I'm probably being overly optimistic but I feel 2018. That will make 3 new coasters in the state that season. Just like we thought there would be three new coasters in Missouri in 2017 early this season.

I, fine with all Arrow that only use a lap bar, but omce they put the OTSR on them, I find them very uncomfortable. I guess Iron Dragon wasn't that bad, but both Corkscrews I've been on have been awful. -
I assumed you were serious too, and started rolling my eyes thinking "what does this person think he knows about theme park operations, and where can you put three new coasters when there's not even room for one". Maybe best not to use sarcasm on an internet forum, especially without an /s tag. But they could add at least 2 new large attractions, but it would require the removal of excalibur and dinos alive. They could add a 3rd if they removed the riptide, bumper cars, midway stage, wild thing, the amphitheater (I mean they never use it) in fact they could add a 4th! Just remove highway 101. I wouldn't say that they can add two large attractions if they have to remove something to add them. Remove Wild Thing, that would probably be their stupidest move ever. One of the good things about the ride lineup at VF is that they have a hyper. And Renegade.
