  1. ^Agreed, and it seems deliberate (I mean, it obviously is but it seems like it was done for my next point --> ). Something like this only adds to the evidence of winged trains.
  2. ^ The only magnetic components of the ride are the brakes. But eh, at least they knew it has something to do with magnets
  3. I'd say just wait it out, unless the lines get ridiculous. Depending on the coaster if it's 2+ hours I skip it, and if all the coasters have lines that long I just give up and pay the extra cash for the FL (I've only had to do this once by the way)
  4. ^Lol I was there too and I remember that. Three things that are great about this park in terms of policy are A. as previously mentioned their awesome rain policy. B. If you get back to the station and there is nobody waiting for your row you get to ride again. And C. If you get off the train and there is an empty seat somewhere else you can occupy it and ride again.
  5. This is going to be incredible Anyone else wanna say the same stuff they've said every time an update is posted?
  6. I'm sorry, but that thing looks fun as hell. Send one over here to the U.S.! (Just kidding, we all know that somehow they would get slammed with lawsuits )
  7. You do know that us enthusiast's opinion has little to no influence on the themepark world... right? It's the GP that gets considered, not us.
  8. Someone made a mockup of how the non-inverting loop will be like in NL2 [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Guys, this is gonna be good . It really is MASSIVE and that quick transition at the top, with winged trains is going to be insane.
  9. This looks like a pretty cool concept. I'd like to see one of these in real life, it looks to be both fun to ride and fun to watch
  10. Oh yes, this is what I've wanted here ever since Skyrush! I always knew a drop tower would be a great fit for this park, and hopefully it's an Intamin Skyjump!
  11. I loved Scream Machine. If you had the right timing you could get 5+ re-rides without waiting at all. That's obviously not so much the case anymore with GL
  12. Wait, how would it be the tallest inverting loop if it's a non-inverting loop? I think I'm missing something here Anything, that thing looks massive. I love it so far, can't wait to see it completed! That transition is going to be insane if it has winged trains (which it increasingly seems like)
  13. ^Not all of their recent coasters have it. I'm assuming it varies by coaster. For example, though a bit different, Skyrush has custom designed wheels designed to bleed speed and slowly decrease pacing throughout the course, made of a custom polyurethane blend. It was suited for the design. In Taron's case, I guess friction strips aren't going to be necesary
  14. ^It's HSS, basically meaning it's hollow with cross sections throughout; Yes, it's going to be very loud unless they do something to deafen the noise like fill the track with sand or such (Which, IMO would defeat the purpose of 1 rail track in the first place)
  15. Endless indeed; maybe they could put VR on the Hurler clones and make it a simulation of El Toro or Boulder Dash or some other good wooden coaster
  16. ^To be honest, I didn't even know Solidworks was capable of producing top-notch professional renderings like this until CoasterLab came around. Way to demonstrate the program's power! Those trains are freaking amazing, they look like a modern, sleek, and minimalist take on the wooden coaster train. I completely love it
  17. Maybe that's why the are building a B&M Dive Machine. It's both thrilling AND reliable. . . It's so crazy to think that the people in charge of deciding what kind of new attraction the park gets... ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. While I agree with your point, that last point depends; sometimes parks get more than they bargain for, for better or worse. Either you get hit a home run right out of the gate like MF, or you get major issues that need to be worked out, like Maverick's heartline roll that never was.
  18. If you ride something like I305 in the rain, be prepared for 2-3 minutes of little to no oxygen The rain is so insane you almost don't even get a chance to breathe. Speaking of coasters in inclement weather, could you imagine how cool it would be to ride a coaster in heavy fog? The lift hill would practically invisible, and you wouldn't even be able to see the elements more than 5 feet ahead of you haha
  19. ^Fantastic work! Congrats on getting selected to do the renderings, I really like the design of the trains.
  20. My sentiments exactly.I've tried as much as I can to enjoy the ride but I simply can't no matter what I attempt to do to improve the experience a bit. I've tried a lot of different seats, different seating positions, etc. but I still can't like it. The standup coaster is one of the few coasters that really shouldn't be that forceful.
  21. Glad to know I'm not the only one who's very skeptical about the Skyplex Project. The first question I asked myself after seeing the announcement is, "Yeah, this looks great and all, but will it ever really happen?" The whole thing just looks too ambitious to realistically happen, and it looks even less likely that it will happen by 2017. Just my $0.02
  22. I'd save Nitro for later. A great thing about it is that you never have to worry about it breaking down, and if it has a long line. Definitely do Ka first though, as you really never know what it is with that thing. I'd do El Toro immediately after, as it's line is completely nonexistent for the first 30-45 minutes of the day. Also, do ^that (what Boldikus said). I've heard of people getting 5+ consecutive rides on a crowded day just because of this rule. I wish the CF parks did it too but unfortunately even if the station is empty they make you walk all the way back through the line. With the big 3 out of the way, I'd squeeze Zumanjaro somewhere in there, either before or after Ka. If you want to do some of the loopers I'd do Bizarro (which almost never has a line because of it's location), Batman (which might, depending on the train situation), Superman (really long line but the Pretzel Loop is intense as heck so that might/almost might validate the wait), or if you absolutely must, Green Lantern ( which reasonable line, great first drop, great first half, and the drop out of the MCBR gives you a nice pop of floater. That's where it ends. The rest includes headbanging, pain in general, pain in your feet/legs because of the g's being focused there, and more. I personally avoid it but it's up to you. Oh, and Skull Mountain is definitely a hidden gem; most people skip it but in the back it can be really fun. The first drop is ridiculous because you get absolutely dragged over it. Worth it if you have the time
  23. Best airtime moments on El Toro: El Toro's drop; The radius is enormous and the pullup is really late, so despite being 76 degrees it feels like 90. In the front you get really, really strong floater and in the back it's pure ejector from halfway through the turn to the pullup The first and second airtime hills are extremely strong too, especially in the back. The RT hill is absolutely psychotic. Words cannot describe the ludicrous amount of ejector you get on that hill, because you're still going fast at that point of the layout, yet the radius of that hill's crest is really small. It's actually better in the front, but it's awesome in the back too. Ever notice that you can hear that clacking noise whenever a train goes over the airtime hills? Ever notice that you can't hear that when you're actually on the ride? The RT hill is the only part of the layout where you can actually hear it, and it sounds like the airtime is so strong that it would rip apart the whole structure . On a side note, Superman Ride of Steel's first airtime hill was pretty weak because of it's size, but every airtime hill after that had really strong ejector. I had only ridden B&M hypers before that, so I was really surpised at the forces I was feeling. The last few small airtime hills are especially ridiculous, and it's just stupidly fun and you're just smiling the whole time And finally, I completely agree with that Skull Mountain thing. I don't even know how it's even remotely possible that such a small coaster can give that much airtime at the drop, but somehow it does (it is an Intamin after all, I guess everything they touch has some sort of ejector, haha ). In the back as someone said, you're half way up the lift and then not even a second after, you're somehow at top speed and get launched over the top. I was in complete disbelief that I was getting forces that strong on an indoor coaster, but after riding it twice I could only conclude that it did. That moment alone makes it unskippable if you're at Gadv
