  1. ^That's pretty cool to see them promoting it like that... I mean.. it's better than the music videos they constantly play
  2. Tony is a cool guy, you just gotta understand his style of teasing
  3. ^Well said. The more I think about it, the more I realize how true that is.
  4. Apocalypse was kinda boring but it wasn't necessarily painful (except the corkscrew transition, which was very rough) which automatically puts it ahead of GL for me.
  5. ^If it's anything like I305's cable lift, it'll only speed up at the top!
  6. WHAT That drop looks AMAZING. It looks to be one of the best out there
  7. I concur. Honestly, every time I look at Goliath, my first thought is "ugh that drop needs to be 10-15 degrees steeper". Such a waste of amazing height. Not only is it not that steep, but it the drop shaping itself looks uninspired too. The center is late, and the transition has very little tension giving you a main part of the drop that looks like it was a straight section as opposed to B&M's gradual curved drop. With that size you have a lot of potential for a drop, and I feel that they missed the mark. On the plus side I heard the tunnel gives you one hell of a headchopper.
  8. ^^I've been on Zumanjaro and although most people say the drop is ok, I find it to be above average. It's really intense for the first second or 2, but calms down after that and it's a good balance of fun and intensity.
  9. ^OH MY GOD you're avatar is freaking AMAZING . Too perfect. I looked at first and I thought, "wait... something's not right." I looked again and I saw it lol But yeah, while Skull Mountain is awesome it's no El Toro for sure
  10. ^Nice. I tried refreshing a bunch of times but couldn't get it again
  11. I can confirm it, it's true. I got the email, and it's exactly as described. It was done in No Limits it was set to "Classic Coaster" in the program judging by the trains. The thing is though, the survey shows you a different concept every time you do it, so finding it would be very difficult. It's a Mobius dueling launch coaster, with inversions. The trackwork looked poorly and hastily made so nothing can be confirmed from it really.
  12. That's strange, I actually enjoyed Grizzly's drop [KD] , but only in the back. In the other rows it's not that good.
  13. ^Nice pics! At first I was like "WTF?" when I saw Rolling Thunder but then I re-read your post to see it was taken back in 2012
  14. Skull Mountain is taking over this thread! (And the rest of TPR it seems) But on another note, I'm mad that I went to HP the year Skyrush was announced, and I haven't been there since so I haven't got the chance to do Skyrush yet. It sounds amazing, and from what I can see from the shaping in the pictures, it is one hell of an experience
  15. True that! Does Skull Mountain run during thunderstorms unlike the other coasters because it's indoors?
  16. ^^Well that's weird... You'd think it would be the other way around! ^Also, I don't almost blame them for the El Toro thing, it really does feel like it's trying to throw the train and everyone in it out into the Golden Kingdom!
  17. ^You're right, it does look like Junker's "wot" loop but non-inverted . Maybe there will be some hangtime involved!
  18. 1. Is RMC officially going to start calling it T-Rex track? 2. I am seriously excited; They're willing to go as big as their client wants, and one is being planned very soon. 2 and 2 add up, meaning this is going to be goooooood . Only question is, who's getting it? (Hopefully a nearby park so I can marathon the life out of that thing)
  19. ^I agree with that. The day I went at one point the wait was 15 minutes, and later 2 hours. Luckily I had an FL+ so I didn't have to put up with that KK is also extremely unpredictable with lines. I've waited 5 minutes for it, but at the other end of the spectrum I've also waited 5 hours. That, coupled with its unreliability makes it a pain to wait in line for. (Almost always worth it though) The nice thing about FoF is that it has AIR CONDITIONING (At least, the FL+ line had it. Not 100% sure about the main queue). It was so amazing with the weather being 100+ degrees that day.
  20. WHAT Remind me to wear a helmet if I ever ride one of these
  21. lol the Skull Mountain back seat cult is becoming a thing . Seriously, anyone who doubts it, go try it out in the back seat for yourself. You'll be in disbelief!
  22. ^Oh, hey TCM. Didn't expect to see you here! Anyway, not only will the airtime be great, but the rotational lats you'll get in the outer wing seats is going to be crazy. I only wish Ferrari World was closer so I could go ride this thing!
  23. ^No, you're kinda right. It wouldn't necessarily "hold itself up" but it's strength would allow for far fewer supports.
  24. Is Intamin ditching the hydraulic launch system altogether? The last one built was Formula Rossa and that was 4 years ago. Meanwhile, their LSM launch has been appearing on most of their coasters, and it seems that anything the hydraulic launch can do, the LSM can also accomplish it; with the exception of going extraordinarily fast or high... until now it seems
