  1. EL Toro's many headchoppers. I always put my hands up, then put them down during those portions because the little GP voice in my head commands me to
  2. ^I follow the same rule. The single rider queue moves very slowly, but if there is a good grouper it may be worth the wait
  3. Great American Scream Machine (RIP)
  4. Speaking of Incredible Hulk, I saw this absolutely stunning photo...
  5. I've never had an unpleasant surprise XD -I walked on to Intimidator 305 hearing how intense it was but I thought that I had ridden Kingda Ka and El Toro (other intense Intamins) I would do it with ease. Wrong. The cable lift at 45 degrees was terrifying at how fast it was. Blacked out on the first turn, and the drop was insane. It was also glass smooth. -I thought Dominator was just another B&M floorless but I was pleasantly surprised by how intense it was for one of its kind. It actually had some nice positive g's and the loop was enormous. I loved it. -I went to CW for Behemoth's opening day thinking I would hate the brand new staggered trains, but they were actually pretty cool. I went with 2 other people so one guy and I took up the front 2 seats and the other took the back corner of the front car. It was weird having to turn around to see him, and even more weird having all that space where another seat would normally. It made the ride even better having that space, and I imagine that the back must be insane because of the longer trains. That's all, but I'm hoping by the end of this month Volcano and Superman: Ride of Steel (SFA) will make this list
  6. Thanks for the info, but I'm definitely not focusing on Shockwave lol (my body wouldn't handle it too well ) I just want one more ride and I'll be good. I mainly want a ride on Volcano (I missed out last time by heading to Dominator first. By the time I went to Volcano the line was 2+ hours. I ignored the advice someone gave me to do that first) and I want as many rides on I305 as possible because I only got one ride last time. I also wanna do Dominator a couple of times too. Everything else would be a bonus, not necessary, but I would definitely be happy. By the way it's pretty much confirmed that California's Great America will be a floorless, so that would leave the other Vortex, and I'm not sure what else. 4 standups will be gone by the end of 2015. I think it's safe to say that it's nearly the end. Also I think 2017 is much more likely than 2016, but you'd be surprised at how clutch CF can be sometimes. They might just surprise you
  7. One of the things Fury 325 does well is just make the entrance and the park just look good. I'm sure aesthetics went into the design, they definitely wanted a good looking coaster, and they got one.
  8. Standup coasters were a bad idea from the start. Let's leave it at that lol
  9. ^ugh I'm not even sure that gets classified as questionable at all. Much worse than that!
  10. It really is the end of Cedar Fair standups. Shockwave wasnt too bad, but the transitions were very rough, the chainlift is almost as slow as a jetcoaster, and you sit on the brake run forever because the loading process is eternally long. Im actually surprised they're removing it this soon, I thought it had 1 or 2 years left. (If anything, they should have removed Hurler). This basically confirms a new coaster for 2016 or 2017, and I'm sure whatever they replace it with will be worth it That being said I found this out right after planning a trip to KD yesterday. Im going on July 18th, give or take a day or two, and I'm definitely going to get my last ride on Shockwave. Maybe they'll do a celebration like Carowinds for Thunder Road? I'd like to get some little souvenir. I also want to get in as many coasters as possible so I have a few questions. Will it be crowded around that time? Should I get a Fastlane or Fastlane +? Other than that I should be good
  11. Yeah they just put up the basic info like timing and how to attend. Nothing additonal
  12. ^Speaking of narrow stations, El Toro's narrow station has to be the best design flaw that ever happened because while everyone gets in line for the front rows, the back rows are always a walk-on
  13. Just reiterating what people said above me, but definitely go to Volcano first. By the time midday hits, it's too late and the line gets packed. Dominator's line gets shorter throughout the day and has great capacity. I305's line actually goes very quickly. When I went the crew was flying with very quick dispatches. Also the fact that a lot of people are terrified of the ride helps the line usually not exceed 45 minutes or so.
  14. Pictures can be found on the screamscape page Very interesting... Maybe a flat to go along with the waterpark expansion or my vote; Aquatrax Confirmed! How could it be a flat if the stakes are literally outside the park itself I'm guessing that the opposite side of the park would still be inside the park. I don't know the layout of the park too well..
  15. Link to video please? I need to see this for myself EDIT: I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. Ignorance level was way too high not to do anything about it [by the way, ignore my fanboy-ness. I got a little emotional haha ] i.imgur.com/53U0vG8.png

  17. ^They won't be spending that much money for a while, they didn't even on Leviathan (28 million) Canada's Wonderland just has too much potential for Cedar Fair to ignore them. They're definitely getting a coaster soon to seal the deal of being a major destination park.
  18. ^The first turn's radius was increased and the turn now slopes up into the second hill in a sort of weird way. I'll try to find a picture then edit this post EDIT: I was about to say the same thing as below, it's mostly the second half that got changed. It's hard to find 2 pictures at the same angle that show it well, so I'll use the animation as an example, which is pretty much exactly the same anyway. Before: Fluid, continuous banking transiton After: The turn basically goes halfway up where the hill used to go, and it looks really wierd IMO. It's because the g's flatten out at that area so that riders don't black out (even though most people still do) It rides fine however, I just liked the old version better
  19. ^I think Six Flags called it the "double-reversing-airtime-hill" or something It looked better in the animation than the actual ride but still looks insane
  20. Concrete: Coming to Phantasialand in 2016!
  21. ^^That's my favorite post today. You get a sticker!
  22. I always thought B&M track was photogenic. Behemoth IMO is the best looking B&M hyper because of the color choice and the many consecutive airtime hills/linear layout, all in plain sight. Gatekeeper is also ridiculously photogenic. I also like Intamin "Rocket/Accelerator Trains" as well. Something about the design of the train and the way the restraints look is appealing I can't say enough about Carowinds' new entrance. Probably the best in the world
