  1. KD does not need an invert at all. They already have Volcano, the extremely unique full circuit Intamin Invert. Having 2 types of the same ride would be redundant, unless they did it right (which, by the way, is possible). A wingrider or hyper would be a better addition, though of all things I'd like to see them get a hyper.
  2. ^got it lol. Yes, that is grammatically incorrect. How did anyone not see that before making the sign?
  3. I'm surprised at the price. That's around the price for a CF Platinum pass, which means people might actually be able to get their hands on that...
  4. ^There are also thousands of sensors on the ride. One of the ride ops of TTD told me that a sensor or two gets knocked out of place once in a while and that will stop the ride from operating momentarily until they fix it. It's just that these coasters are so complex and everything needs to go right in order for it to work.
  5. ^My friend (also an enthusiast) went on I305 in the rain once and he said it's the only time in his life he legit thought he was going to die because he barely ever got a chance to breathe during the ride . The rain and wind just take your breath away literally
  6. ^Are there any pictures? I know in the pictures of the Hotgo Park wingrider track originally there was some green track in the background but I believe that was unpainted track with primer on it.
  7. Hello guys. I'm going to make a real quick stop on this park on Sunday on my way back from VA. My question is, how long are the lines usually for S:ROS? That's the only thing I'm worried about, but If I could get on some of the other coasters that would be nice too!
  8. I think its safe to say that B&M can't build coasters anywhere near as intense as Intamins, especially the more recent IntaRide style coasters; those are some of the most intense coasters on the planet, unmatched except by Maverick and the Pre Fabs. While Fury 325 is pretty intense, it's not in the same stratosphere as coasters like I305 and Skyrush. Their restraints are more comfortable and they do have more reliability. If I305 had more airtime it would be perfect, but it doesn't really deliver in that category. (That's where Skyrush excels). I think Intamin maximised the potential of that area, building an amazing coaster in a compact space. B&M simply couldn't fit a long out and back layout in there, and we don't know how good a B&M twister-layout giga would be.
  9. Yeah... I don't see it. Maybe they'll build it at La Ronde
  10. What if there actually was a much larger spine in some of the original pictures? Someone pointed out that the pullout for Baron 1898 has a much larger spine than the rest of the ride which has a normal spine; what if that's the case with Valravn? Perhaps the larger track is for the high-g portions and the normal-ish track is for the rest of it. Just a theory
  11. Don't worry guys, I've already been on I305 and yes, it was life changing (Good enough to even surpass El Toro in my book). I got off I305 last time in good shape to ride again, so I think marathoning will be possible. I also wanna go on Volcano a bunch times and from what I've heard the Fast Lane + will take you right to the station, so that's another reason I want the Fast Lane +. Unfortunately Im going on Saturday, which is the busiest day of the week in most themeparks, so I'll definitely put it to use. Thanks guys!
  12. I can see now how that enormous piece of track in the first picture could be for a high-g section. The crosstie spacing is weird on some of the pieces too.
  13. I want to get as many rides in as possible (basically marathon on every ride haha ) so I'm considering getting a Fast Lane + to make it happen. Is it possible to get a lot of rides in without it? If not, then how does the system work? Do you have to buy it online or is it possible to go and see if the park is crowded that day and buy it then?
  14. Got some more pictures! (From the Coaster Studios Facebook Page) Up close the track looks absolutely enormous Here it is next to the Chinese wingrider track I think this picture settles it. It's the exact same size, highly doubtful it's dive coaster track, and it definitely looks like wingrider track. It does look like a CF-ish color scheme with the gray underside (like the lime green underside of Fury 325's track) so I guess this could be for CW after all (or some other CF park)
  15. CP has went with some interesting color schemes lately (especially with Fury 325). This is just another. People hated Fury's colors at first, but once assembled it looked fantastic and everyone shut up for the most part. I'm sure it will look much better in the skyline than in a low resolution picture. By the way, that's definitely dive coaster track. The spine is enormous, more than twice as big as regular track spine and even bigger looking than Sheikra or Griffon's. Also, it's interesting that it doesn't have straight crossties like the other 2 large dive coasters, but rather the regular B&M crossties. I'm no structural engineer but I'm guessing the [extra] enlarged spine accommodates for the standard track ties in a new B&M track design, similar to Intamin's new crosstie design for Taron. Or, as someone previously stated, it could be to accommodate wider dive trains with wider restraints with the vest design. Either way, I can't wait for the announcement.
  16. Taron is my most anticipated coaster in a while. I can't wait to see the finished product, as we still have no idea on what could happen or what else could be added (heck, we don't even know the layout except for the freaking mental 52 crossovers thing)
  17. A park doesn't have to trademark the name for a coaster right? Like what If they name the ride something really generic that they can't trademark?
  18. Think they'll make the names of the two Intimidator coasters different? Or will they give them the same name? Maybe they will rename Carowinds' Intimidator to "Whyte Lightning" ! (Which was part of the teaser campaign by the way)
  19. Especially in the southern U.S. and especially in the Carolinas where the sport began
  20. Imagine a drop tower on one of those 1500+ ft radio towers...
  21. I think it's definitely possible the name could change. The theme though will more than likely stay the same and have something to do with racing. It would cost a lot to retheme the plaza, get new trains, and perhaps repaint the coaster if they changed the theme drastically. I got so used to saying "I305" so much that I'd be disappointing if the acronym isn't the same! At first I didn't like the name a little but it really grew on me. It really lives up to the name Intimidator! [305] EDIT: Also, you know i'm going to get some I305 merchandise while I can! (and on sale!). It would be sorta nostalgic of the old name if they indeed change it
  22. Everyone has this advice; RIDE VOLCANO FIRST. Wait even a little and you won't get to go on because of how insane the lines get. I305 usually has manageable lines so it can be ridden at any time, and Dominator is best to ride later in the day. Other than that I can't really say because I've only been there once. Coincidentally I'm also going next week! (The day after you in fact )
  23. ^^Sheesh, that video title is in all Chinese characters; how the hell did you even find that?
  24. Does anyone know what coasters will be up for tomorrow's ERT? I plan on going if it's anything good, as last time it was Superman and GL (and the other rides in that area).
